Very nice spa, really impressed with the massages and facials I've gotten here. Staff is friendly and skilled.

My husband bought me a gift card right before COVID shut everything down. I called them to check on the balance on my card and they told me it had expired. No mention of gift cards expiring at the time of purchase, no mention of this when I called them last summer, and no expiration date on the gift card. But apparently my $360 has just evaporated. Never got to use it, so I can't speak to the quality of spa services. But I can say that their customer service is abysmal. read more

Very nice spa. I was able to park on the street directly in front since I had an early Sunday spot. I had a massage by Katherine! It was ahhmazing!!! I woke myself up snoring a few times! While Spa Urbana does have a nice ambiance and pleasant staff members, the massage I received was just okay and wasn't really worth the price i paid, in my opinion. My therapist was nice, and she did relieve some back and shoulder tension, but she was EXTREMELY light on all the other areas of my body. I understand i booked a more relaxing massage treatment, i acknowledge that i was not going in there for a deep tissue massage by any means but i definitely thought i was going to receive more than a feather light touch for at least half my massage. Even more importantly than that though, her massage felt backwards and disconnected which left me feeling unbalanced, she not even once ask me how everything was feeling ... overall my massage just did not flow well. She started my massage face up and did my scalp treatment first which was alright with me, I know every therapist has their own way doing their services but she VERY gently massaged my scalp and neck then jumped to massaging my thighs (just the thighs not the full legs face up), then had me flip over after a few moments, used a hot towel on my feet, lightly massaged my calves and feet while I was face down, massaged my back and shoulders which was the best part of the session for me as she actually went to a more medium pressure and used more techniques then ended with some very quick and light massage on my hands and arms. If it wasn't for the decent back and shoulder work she did, I would have been really unsatisfied with my experience. It wasn't the worst massage I've ever had but it wasn't great either. It was just too inconsistent both with pressure and the overall flow for me to fully relax. I know it's not easy to receive feedback that is not 100% positive, but I've been to A LOT of spas and have had my fair share of massages. I'm not trying to complain to get a free service out of them in any way, shape or form, I'm just being honest and I hope the feedback left here will help them learn, grow, adjust and improve for the future. I may come back for different types of services at some point and i may update my rating if i experience more of what this spa has to offer, but based off this experience alone I plan to seek massage treatments specifically elsewhere. read more

Sarah at the front desk was very bright and cheerful and professional when checking me in and taking me back to the waiting area, offering me refreshments again when I was finished and leaving I was shocked when I found out she wasn't a manager, or assistant manager. Massage 5 stars excellent deep tissue, facial 1 star student-level, didn't follow cleanliness or client comfort techniques, was loud, talked throughout, banged around the room with tools and products, put cold things on my face without warning touch of the forehead, etc. Worst of all, each time she applied a product she slapped both her hands down right nect to my ears on both sides and rubbed vigorous to wipe product off her hands on the sheet right next to me. She did this approximately 6 times. I reported this experience at check out and received an apathetic response " yeah...she's new, we've had turnover" and didn't offer to make it right. read more

It was my first time there. Parked in structure a couple blocks away since my appt was over 2 hours but there is street parking during the week. The spa is very nice, clean, and quiet. Peaceful. Dominique was my esthetician and she is a sweet young professional. She tinted my brows and then did a very nice calming facial with layers of creams then hot towels! Would not recommend! Came to Boise for a girls weekend. Booked four massages and when we showed up for our appointments we were told they only reserved one massages. The manager who booked the appointments listed the four massages in the notes but didn't reserve them. Unfortunately, they couldn't offer us another service. My husband booked me a massage and manicure for Christmas, I was very excited about this! I emailed the company many days before asking about my manicure because they told my husband I wouldn't be allowed to get color because it will get on the sheet during my massage, I clearly don't want my husband to pay money for my nails to be cleaned. They confirmed I could get gel for more money which is fine. I then asked 2 times to add a lip and eyebrow wax and I was told " will do" when I asked if they scheduled my wax, I was told "nope" we don't have anyone to do that right now you can come back later. The massage was decent. I just didn't get a happy vibe in the building at all. I was most frustrated about my wax because I have been holding off getting this done all week in the thought I was going to get it done here. Morgan the girl who did my nails was wonderful and super sweet and my nails look great. She is the only reason I am giving 3 stars. Also for the price I would expect a more " spa " like experience. I've been to many places where there is a separate place to relax or a sauna or coffee and snacks there was just like a little hallways. My personal opinion not worth the money and the negative energy. read more

My massage wasn't great, I felt like the therapist was inexperienced. I paid for 80 min. massage and was on the table for only 70 minutes. I asked the front desk and she said they factor in cleaning time. I wouldn't recommend Spa Urbana, disappointed in what should have been 90 minutes on the table. Update: owner replied that I have the wrong spa, I was there yesterday and have been there multiple times in the past year. That's not how you take care of customers. read more

Located downtown with plenty of street parking near by, this Spa is great for an after work massage. Just leave the office a little early to grab that last treatment time before they close. The spa is very clean, comfortable, quiet, and relaxing. The staff welcomed me with a friendly greeting and smile. They knew who I was when I entered and escorted me to the waiting area in the back. The waiting area has a soothing waterfall and low lighting. The therapist welcomed me to the treatment room and asked what I wanted to work on which was nice. The treatment room was cozy and comfortable. The negative for the room was the loud fan just sitting 5 feet away from the table. The negative to a small room. I am always impressed with a Spa Urbana. I feel like they do such a good job of hiring very good massage therapists. Most recently I worked with a massage therapist named Christian who really let me direct massage and what areas needed to be addressed. I have had dozens of massages before where I don't feel listen to and leave being disappointed that I have spent so much money and still have problem areas that are tight or sore. The place is very clean and beautiful but I got a stress relief massage and a facial, the facial was great and I enjoyed it but for the massage- the masseuse, she talked the ENTIRE time, like non-stop. It was about extremely political topics as well, aka something I would rather not talk about for 80 minutes straight during a "stress relief" massage. I walked out emotionally exhausted which should not happen when I am paying over $150 for the experience. It really was not appropriate. read more
