I've attached the screenshot of the text message that was sent to me. She texted me late Tuesday night in response to my voicemail with pricing and her hours of operation, not availability. So I text back that same night thanking her and asking when we can schedule for a 95min massage and if Friday at 12:30pm works for her. No response. It's been a week now and still no response. I guess she doesn't want my business. Very rude.

They just rub, wipe hands, push places with zero method or intent, like they are trying to rush through. Not calming at all. No conversation before about what we wanted or areas to focus on. We got a couples massage, one masseuse got a call and left the room in the middle, left the door cracked open, talked to each other, we could hear everyone coming in the front door. My masseuse kept flipping my towel to move it, zero accounting for modesty most masseuse places go by, I almost got up in the middle and said enough. It's an absolute joke, not a place to go if you actually want to feel better or pampered or relaxed.

In the past company trips, I never had time to visit the areas. Except I did have some time this time to see some of the local area of Meridian. It is a beautiful area. This time, it was. a little different. I was feeling the aches and pain of traveling for the company, when I discovered the Bamboo Massage Spa located in Meridian. I called to make an appointment for a back massage. A receptionist greeted me when I arrived. I told her that my lower back needed treatment for my soreness. The receptionist went to see who was available. The receptionist took me to one of the rooms. The therapist asked what type of lower back pain did I have and did I know the cause? I told the therapist that the pain seems to be from the long airplane flights and setting in several meetings at different companies with the buyer representatives. I told her that I am a salesman for the company and I did a lot of traveling and setting in many meeting with potential business clients. Sorry for the long back grown story. But, important to give a little background and the results of my appointment. The massage appointment resulted in giving me a lot of relief from the lower back pain that I started with. The massage therapist was a trained in the art of healing. The Bamboo Spa was clean and quiet with music playing on the business speakers. For myself, I found that very off putting. Never something I had to do ever in all my years of countless massages. They don't ask a single question about what you like, any areas to stay away from, if you have any pain, medical issues, or what pressure you prefer. After several minutes of the employee grinding on my body with her elbow she finally asked me if it was ok. I said no, that I don't like elbows or forearms to be used while massaged. She apologized and then continues to do it. After another 15 minutes of cringing and crying (my face was in the table so I'm sure the employee had no idea) I asked her if we could just be finished. She was shocked, told me to wait, walked out of the room, and I heard her speaking another language loudly to another employee. I assume it was the owner or her manager. Then a different women came in and aggressively and quickly half way wiped off the insane amount of oil they used off my body. They said nothing to me to ask me why I would want to be done. I got dressed and when I walked out you could see and sense the women at the front desk was displeased with me. I asked politely if I could use the restroom, she said yea and pointed where to go. When I returned to the front I simply looked at her as I was walking out and mumbled "thanks". She had a look like she was ready to battle me for the money. As I continued out the door you could she her demeanor change, as she realized I just wanted to leave. She never asked me a single question to see what happened. I paid $100 for 30 minutes of wasted time. I woke up the next morning and was very sore from where they shoved their elbow all over my back. I would have rather paid more money and had an enjoyable experience and massage. If you want to save a few dollars, do it in other ways like shopping on the sale rack for clothes, but not on a massage. Go to a real business where you will actually get at least what you pay for.

I began looking online, but everyone requires an appointment so I decided to just go in to Lotus this morning to schedule an appointment and was surprised when she said they could do my massage right away. It was truly a massage therapy, no wishy-washy super light touch "fake" type of massage. My therapist was the perfect combination of medium pressure to harder pressure (but not overwhelming to the point you can't breathe), and only in the most necessary spots. I look for 3 main things in a massage business; (1) Ambiance, (2) Great massage, and (3) No talking from my therapist. This place has it all. It is clean, quiet, great lighting (very soothing), nice, gentle music, beautiful decor, and has individual rooms for the massage. Now, there is a little bit of a language barrier, hence why there's no talking....love that! And it only got a 4 star because their credit card machine was broken, so I had to go back home and get cash, but not a huge ordeal. They used hot stones, warm oils and a true "full body" massage that leaves you light-headed and super relaxed at the end. My therapist was so sweet and she did an excellent job. After I was done, I could turn my head left to right with no pain! I HIGHLY recommend them, just call first if you aren't going to pay in cash (no checks either).
