My husband booked me a 1.5 hour massage. Unfortunately, I got up and left after 30 minutes. First, they require you to pay prior to receiving your massage. For myself, I found that very off putting. Never something I had to do ever in all my years of countless massages. They don't ask a single question about what you like, any areas to stay away from, if you have any pain, medical issues, or what pressure you prefer. After several minutes of the employee grinding on my body with her elbow she finally asked me if it was ok. I said no, that I don't like elbows or forearms to be used while massaged. She apologized and then continues to do it. After another 15 minutes of cringing and crying (my face was in the table so I'm sure the employee had no idea) I asked her if we could just be finished. She was shocked, told me to wait, walked out of the room, and I heard her speaking another language loudly to another employee. I assume it was the owner or her manager. Then a different women came in and aggressively and quickly half way wiped off the insane amount of oil they used off my body. They said nothing to me to ask me why I would want to be done. I got dressed and when I walked out you could see and sense the women at the front desk was displeased with me. I asked politely if I could use the restroom, she said yea and pointed where to go. When I returned to the front I simply looked at her as I was walking out and mumbled "thanks". She had a look like she was ready to battle me for the money. As I continued out the door you could she her demeanor change, as she realized I just wanted to leave. She never asked me a single question to see what happened. I paid $100 for 30 minutes of wasted time. I woke up the next morning and was very sore from where they shoved their elbow all over my back. I would have rather paid more money and had an enjoyable experience and massage. If you want to save a few dollars, do it in other ways like shopping on the sale rack for clothes, but not on a massage. I had injured my neck and was in real need of massage therapy right away (I could barely move my head). I went to another place the day before and it was awful and I was still in pain. I began looking online, but everyone requires an appointment so I decided to just go in to Lotus this morning to schedule an appointment and was surprised when she said they could do my massage right away. It was truly a massage therapy, no wishy-washy super light touch "fake" type of massage. My therapist was the perfect combination of medium pressure to harder pressure (but not overwhelming to the point you can't breathe), and only in the most necessary spots. I look for 3 main things in a massage business; (1) Ambiance, (2) Great massage, and (3) No talking from my therapist. This place has it all. It is clean, quiet, great lighting (very soothing), nice, gentle music, beautiful decor, and has individual rooms for the massage. Now, there is a little bit of a language barrier, hence why there's no talking....love that! And it only got a 4 star because their credit card machine was broken, so I had to go back home and get cash, but not a huge ordeal. They used hot stones, warm oils and a true "full body" massage that leaves you light-headed and super relaxed at the end. My therapist was so sweet and she did an excellent job. After I was done, I could turn my head left to right with no pain! I HIGHLY recommend them, just call first if you aren't going to pay in cash (no checks either). read more

I used to have a good experience here and I really did enjoy the masseuse I had. Every time after that it started going downhill. One time I called and made an appointment for a one hour massage and when I showed up (25 min drive) they said that they had me down for the next day and they had no one available that day (when I made my appointment) to give a massage. So I left. A few weeks later I decided to give them one more try. I showed up for my appointment 5min early and my masseuse was 20min late coming into my room to start my massage. The whole time she was very rushed/distracted and the whole point of a massage is to RELAX and I felt uneasy the the whole time because of how fast she was working and it was far from relaxing. read more

Worst massage I've ever had, and I've been getting massages for almost 20 years. I'm honestly surprised at all the good reviews. Besides the massage just not being very good in general (I left hurting worse than when I came in), I was shocked to discover that the door to my room was left open nearly the whole massage. The massage therapist had my naked ass exposed to whomever walked by for almost an hour, that is beyond unprofessional. I feel embarrassed and violated and cannot believe this happened to me. read more

I have a history of being a decent endurance athlete. As I hit middle age, I found I kept getting injuries when I increased my distance. I decided to start getting somewhat regular massages to try to keep the muscles looser. It has worked. Now, I had a pretty hard week with cycling/running as I had the week off. Hip IT band, gluts, hip extensors are really bothering now. I called my regular person, and they were out of town for two weeks, so decided to give this place a try as they were close. Fine if you just want to relax, but I was unable to communicate my issues. Also, they have the sign showing they basically don't work with the hip region. I opted to go ahead and proceed. It was fine, although as others said, door left open, she left 4-5 times to talk to people, and that 10 -15 minutes were counted as part of the time I paid for. My hip feels the same, as they of course didn't work on that area. My wife says this is common for a spa and most don't do sport/therapeutic. I guess my bad for not understanding that, but I still think they should not take from my time when others come in or at least add that time on the end. read more

I was going to Lotus and their two other Ocean Massage stores. But now they have a sign in the lobby. While on your stomach, no massaging the butt. And while on your back, no massaging from the shoulders to your thighs. I don't understand-other massage spas are still massaging there. So needless to say, I won't be coming to the Ocean/Lotus massage spas anymore. read more

Very unprofessional service! I got the worst massage ever! The staffs were very rude!

It was not bad, the place is clean so that is good. But not a fan that they leave the door open during the massage so people walking by the door can look in the room if they wanted to. I also think they should have table showers for many people that is the thing that puts it over the top in terms of good. The girls need to act as they care about the client as a person as well. I am not saying do not go there I am saying simply put it is not a great massage overall. Not worth the $60 cost, you pay $60 but feel like you are getting a $40 massage. read more
