Unfortunately, this ended up being one of the worst massage experiences we've ever had. My massage therapist, Sandy used her elbows on my back with so much pressure that it was extremely painful. When she moved to my legs, she wasn't using any oil at all, which made the massage uncomfortable and hurt from the friction. I actually had to stop her and ask her to please put some oil on my legs. My best friend's experience wasn't any better. Her therapist used lotion instead of massage oil, and her massage was painful as well. Neither one of us was able to relax and actually enjoy the experience. The entire appointment felt like a waste of our time and money. A couples massage is supposed to leave you feeling relaxed, refreshed, and taken care of--not sore, uncomfortable, and frustrated. We both left extremely disappointed. I've had many massages before, and I can honestly say this was the worst massage experience I've ever had. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.

VIP is the place I go to get a good no-frills foot massage in Boise. They start you with a foot soak and offer you a cup of tea. Then a good 45+ minute Chinese-style foot massage. You can book groups too if you want a "girls day". Again, this is not a fancy place so don't expect a spa, but you will get a great no-nonsense foot massage. The place is clean and the staff are very nice. Be sure and wear pants that you can roll up past your knees.
