WOW! I loved sitting on the river and looking out into nature while I was receiving my pedicure! This was my first time with a male massage therapist and it was truly incredible - not uncomfortable at all. Thank you TRSS for a great day! read more

I had a WONDERFUL experience! In preparation for some big exams, I decided to go to Two Rivers to relax. I received a Swedish massage, mani/pedi, and a hair cut. Each of the people who helped me were very nice and extremely helpful. All the staff seemed to treat everyone as a VIP. I would definitely recommend my friends and family go here - in fact, I already have! read more

Total bad experience!! After a poor customer service experience I ended up all the way at the owner, and even they refused to fix the issue! I don't know many small businesses like that! Just really disappointed all the way around. I started looking around I should have been better informed. Several unhappy people, and an F at the BBB. Too bad. Lots of great spas in the valley though, I just won't ever be going back to this one. Good luck, and I hope this saves you some heart ache! KJ read more

Heard alot about this foo foo lah lah place! Was hesitant to try it thinking it was too Beverly hills for me....but I was curious and made an appointment for lash extensions. I've had mine done for 6 months and took a break... was pleasantly surprised by the wonderful customer service I received upon entering the spa. My tech was sweet and put up with my brass attitude lol I have no filter but she put up with it like a champ....she did explain that my lashes are damaged and she wouldn't be applying the long glam lashes I was used to.....very cool of her not to continue to damage them. She also suggested a lash serum to help strengthen them....wow very cool that was a first!! My lashes aren't what I'm used to much more subtle not heavy but after her explanation I'm happy she didn't because I'd like to actually have my own lashes and not go bald. So yeah two rivers for keeping up the integrity of my lashes and explaining to me so I'm educated. Will return for other spa services this place could end up being my new fave!!! read more

Definitely worth a try and then this will be your go-to place. I am here once a month at least out of necessity. Each masseuse is unique in their style and excellent in their profession. Highly recommended. read more

Emily did an excellent job on my hair cut and style. I will be coming back without a doubt. All staff I meet with was very nice.

I've enjoyed several visits to Two Rivers while in Boise, and have had highly positive experiences in the salon. My two most recent cuts and styles were both with Cynthia, who is friendly, professional, attentive, and timely (the big four I'm looking for in a stylist). I've gone in with a few pictures and Cynthia will discuss exactly what I'm looking for in terms of length and stylability, leaving me with crisp, well-blended layers. The rates at the salon are incredibly reasonable as well; I'm not sure if I've timed my visits to coincide with specials, but $35 is far less than I'm used to paying for my nearly-waist length hair. The salon itself has been recently refurbished and is clean, bright, and comfortable. I would definitely come again if I'm in Boise! read more

If you have wavy or curly hair - don't bother! They cater to individuals with straight hair. I specifically requested wavy or toss it up in a messy bun because I don't look good with straight hair (I HAVE wavy hair) due to my long, thin face. Don't do up-dos and can only cut your hair by blowing it straight. I left with straight hair!!! I was devastated that I paid an exorbitant amount to leave with a style I SPECIFICALLY requested not be done. A true waste of my time and money. read more

I've been a customer of two rivers since they opened the doors. The salon used to be the place to go for anything with your hair. I've found better places downtown over the years as two rivers quality began to slip. Yesterday I found myself in the salon again due to time constraints. I had high hopes with the new changes. I walked out of the high end priced place with a super cuts 10.00 haircut. Truly, the worst cut I've ever received and that would include the cheap places. I was shocked when it took the stylist all of ten minutes to cut my hair. I was even more shocked when I came home to wash the load of silicone smoothing junk out of hair, to find layers that don't even match....no wonder she put so much product in my hair. It covered up the bad haircut. This experience will be my last one at two rivers. I've been fooled enough. read more

FYI... DONT LET THE OWNER TAKE YOUR YOUNG CHILD.....He doesn't so what he says he'll do. So I am a bridesmaid in one of my dearest friends weddings here in Idaho. We go to have a manicure / pedicure. Beautiful salon. Wonderful staff. No one mentioned as I walked in "no kids are allowed" I have my 10 month old with me, because he's nursing, he doesn't take a bottle, and my husband can't be with us until tonight. My son doesn't know anyone here well enough to leave him with them. He's at an age where separation anxiety is a factor. So the owner comes over to me as I'm sitting next to the bride getting a pedicure and introduces himself and asks if he can take my son for me so we can relax. He's says he has two kids, he's right across the hall, he's entertain him, he's really good with kids.... NOTE: HE SAID HE'D take care of him! (Smiling from ear to ear) Well as I am just sitting down for my manicure, I see him walk back inside with my son and my son was fine. 5 minutes later I hear him crying, the cry mom knows, he's not going to settle and wants to know where I am! Yes he also needed a nap. (My bad) so I walk out into the hall to get him, and some young employee is holding him as he's crying and she's walking somewhere ... Who knows, hopefully back to me as I asked THE OWNER TO DO IF HE WAS TO START CRYING. (Seeing so HE was supposed to have him in his possession). I took him, a friend tried to calm him as we finished ( crying the whole time because he wanted me) and I watched it out the window. The owner comes back by tells me how cute he is, that he was happy outside but it started to rain and didn't know if I wanted him outside. He gave him a stick... Etc blah blah .... I was SO FURIOUS at him a couldn't speak. I understand if no children are allowed, say that in the beginning. I would've cancelled my appt. but the thing that really got me... I DONT CARE WHO YOU ARE, YOU DON'T OFFER TO KEEP A CHILD IN YOUR CARE AND THEN HAND HIM OFF TO SOMEONE ELSE!! YOU BRING HIM BACK TO HIS MOTHER. WE DONT KNOW ANYONE THERE, BABY KNOWS NO ONE BUT MOM, AND WE'RE IN A PLACE WE'VE NEVER BEEN... WOULD YOU LIKE THAT IF SOMEONE OFFERS TO TAKE "YOUR CHILD" AND THEN YOU FIND HIM / HER WITH SOMEONE ELSE?? no I think not .. My apologies to my nail tech ... For being a little stressed out and angry about the situation. Thank you for being patient and trying to finish quickly. Great salon. OWNER TO THINK ABOUT WHAT IT MEANS WHEN YOU OFFER TO CARE FOR A YOUNG CHILD. Treat the situation as if it was your child and DO WHAT YOU SAY!! read more

I have been a customer of Two Rivers for about 5 years. I have used mainly the hair care services as well as nail care. I have been really pleased with all of the services including a couple of massages that I had awhile ago. The staff is very professional and calls to verify appointments. You are offered a cup of tea, water, or coffee on arrival and the wait time is minimal. I have found all of the hair stylists, nail technicians, and massage therapists to be very professional and talented. They all take their time to evaluate their patrons and determine how best to meet your needs. The setting by the river makes all this even more special! read more

I've sent my wife here many times. Expensive but you get your money's worth. Very professional and courteous staff.

Two Rivers is an amazing spa!! The people here are friendly and welcoming and help make the experience as relaxing as possible. I received a massage, facial, manicure and pedicure and loved every moment of it. Every provider I was with was very knowledgeable and seemed very experienced. The ladies at the front also were able to order us food and we were able to bring in a bottle of wine to enjoy while watching the river during our pedicures. Overall it was a great experience and one I would recommend to anyone no matter the service!!! read more

I have gone here a numerous times, I have had my hair, nails, eyebrows and a massage treatment done. After continuously getting my hair done here, I noticed that I was being over charged on products and notified the front desk as well as my stylist; nothing was done and therefore I switched locations. However, I had a great relationship with the gal who did my eyebrows so I only went for that, unfortunately she ended up leaving Two Rivers and I was only notified the day of my appointment (which I was understandable with), however the girl they switched me with did an awful job so I stopped going to this location completely. Flash forward a few months, my mom and I still had gift cards for a massage and decided to use them, we had a wonderful experience. My massage was absolutely wonderful. The morning was extremely enjoyable and relaxing. Therefore, I figured maybe I should give them a try again, I scheduled a brow wax with a girl that was recommended, she did a great job but the front desk staff (a guy) was very rude and quite honestly lazy. He did not have the exact change that was due back to me, which he told me and therefore shorted me, at that point I just wanted to get out of there and just didn't care. They have lost a lot of staff ( about 4 people from the salon and 1 or 2 from the spa), I gave them a 3 because I have had great experiences and very poor experiences. However, due to the inconsistent interactions, I will again go elsewhere. This is a beautiful salon and spa and I am very saddened, but I am very tired of the staff and the disappointments that I have experienced. read more

Excellent spa, did the package (massage, facial, & pedi) with my Grandma, mom, & her sisters. We had a party of 6. Every employee and service was wonderful. They can really handle a crowd well. This was my first time here and will definitely be back. A wonderful gift if you are considering! Another bonus was they allowed us to bring lunch in. So we enjoyed that outside along the river. The reasons for 4 stars is bc it was pretty rushed. I had a massage at ten, facial at 11, and pedi at noon. So needless to say we were starving by the time we were done. Also, they have a beautiful sauna in the locker room. So I would arrive early for that or schedule ur services an hr apart, gives u more time to enjoy the quiet room. Another thing was they didn't have us all scheduled for the pedi together, we ended up having it changed. But I was surprised they didn't do that initially. Lastly, I was last of the six to sit down for the pedi.... but I was the first done! Not a huge deal, but remember this isn't ur typical $25 pedi. Ten minutes in a massage/service is quite a bit... Little complaints, I know! ;) read more

I had been given a gift certificate and I used part of it for a massage for myself and my daughter. It was relaxing, but not the best I have ever had for the money paid. We were in the same room which was nice. The technician took the remainder of the gc money as a tip. $60. Which I found out about when I called to schedule a set of acrylic nails. The associate gave me my money back stating that they had problems with that tech and she no longer worked there. I scheduled my nails, a 1.5 hour appointment for the exact amount left on my gc. It's a beautiful salon, incredible views. When i sat down i asked what was included - regular polish, gel polish, French tips... the tech had to ask and another associate came over to let me know this tech's full set price was more than what was on my gc. (Why would they schedule me with someone after they told me the price - and now the cost is more than the price they gave me?!) The tech said she would have them adjust the price to the original price i was given over the phone. The nails took 2 hours. Several were crooked. She fixed a a few. I noticed more after I left. She hand filed each nail but they all have scratch marks from the file visible thru the polish. She kept filing my cuticle and they still hurt, days later. Some nails are thicker than others. She didn't use tips but painted the acrylic over stickers, stating this was faster than using tips. ?? She claimed to have over 10 years of experience, but I haven't ever had a set of nails take over 2 hours. She was pleasant. But it wasn't the most relaxing and comfortable experience. I had a long list of things to get done and spent 2 hours sitting in a chair getting nails that I can't wait to get fixed. I won't be going back. Disappointed that it cost as much as it did and the only reason I went there instead of my normal amazing nail place was to use up the rest of the gift certificate. Update: It's been 1 week now and the nails are starting to lift on several fingers. I was hoping they would last at least a week... read more

My twin sister and I recently celebrated our birthday and I wanted to do something nice for both of us. She is 6 months pregnant. We came in for a Swedish massage for me and a Prenatal massage for her. When I called to make the appointment I was greeted on the phone by a very professional and accommodating man. I felt comfortable before I even came in! When we came in for our appointment we were welcomed by another very professional and sweet lady at the front desk. We enjoyed a cookie and a glass of water while we waited for our appointment time. (We came early for paperwork, which wasn't required. That's a nice first.) I received an incredible massage by Aaron. I feel like a new woman! My sister also said Myra gave her an amazing prenatal massage. Her sciatic nerve has been hurting since her first child 7 years ago and she was very happy with how her masseuse catered to that need. My only regret is that I didn't schedule a longer massage! Aaron, Myra, and everyone we interacted with, were incredibly professional and made us feel so welcome! Thank you for a great birthday celebration! We'll definitely be back. read more

I started going to the salon after my hair-dresser moved back to Chicago and was really nervous. I booked an appointment with Sydnie East and the transition has been awesome. The location and the salon facility itself is beautiful. The staff are warm and welcoming. Having Sydnie as my stylist was terrific. She does tremendous color. I have VERY thick, course, curly hair and she had no trouble delivering color and a cut that far exceeded my expectations. Not only was the color and cut exceptional, the service was absolutely terrific. She walked me through everything she was doing, explained and demonstrated techniques for achieving the style she gave me and was willing to sit with me and answer questions I had about products and styling. Truly a great experience!! read more

As CEO of a company, I often take folks we are interviewing out to eat to see how they treat the wait staff. It's a good indicator on how they will treat their customers and team members. Two Rivers and in Particular Brookney passed the test with flying colors. I rode my bike to the spa with a backpack on, so I did not exactly look like their typical spa client. However, they were very nice and allowed me to put my bike in the back while I got my massage and treated my like a king. Brookney was my therapist and was awesome. I signed up again for later this week. These folks get 5 stars for treating the less than well dressed like gold when they walked in the door. THANK YOU. Highly recommended. read more

I am not a big fan of salon mani-pedis because, frankly, I feel like I do a better job at home. This place was no exception. However, at most places I at least feel like I get a solid polish job that lasts a decent while (e.g., at least a week). My mani from two rivers started chipping after a couple days, but worse is that my friend's starting coming off THAT day! I was also looking forward to getting my feet in better condition (I'm a runner so have a decent amount of calluses) but they look no better than when I came in. Overall, not impressed with the services I received and certainly wish I had not wasted that much money. One last thought: the parafin wax container was pretty dirty. Do not recommend this place and won't be going back. read more

I have been a client at this salon for 3 or 4 years now. I get my hair done, I've had massages, facials, waxes, manicures, pedicures. Just about anything they offer I've tried it. I made an appointment online (like I always do and have always done in the past) about a week and a half ago for tomorrow 8/16. I made it well in advance because my work schedule is hectic and I rarely have a Saturday off. I called this morning because I hadn't received my usual confirmation text or email and wanted to confirm the time of my appointment. They told me I was not scheduled and that their online website appointment form isn't working right now. She told me my usual stylist wasn't working tomorrow. I told her that was fine and to just schedule me with whoever is free. She said they didn't have time tomorrow and that it was Saturday(like am I really asking to be squeezed in on a Saturday?!) and that because my hair is so long they could only do a cut or a highlight, not both. I said I wasn't going to come for just a cut or highlight, I wanted to just get my hair done all at once. She said(the manager) she didn't know what I was expecting her to do, it was a Saturday and they were booked. I told her if the online appointment thing wasn't working they should probably take it down. I'm sure I'm not the only one who uses this. She didn't off me a discount, she wasn't willing to do anything to make it work. I spend a lot of money at two rivers and I can say that I probably won't be going back. It's unfortunate that they seem unwilling to accommodate they're regular clients when the fault is on them for offering a convenience feature for scheduling that actually doesn't work. read more

I had my best friend visiting from Texas whom I get to see less than once a year. She was in the middle of traveling to visit family so we literally had one day to ourselves. I wanted to take her someplace super special for a belated birthday celebration. She is also a new mom with a 2 and 1/2 month old. I called ahead to make an appointment for pedis and asked specifically about bringing her young infant. I was told that it would be ok for us to come in with him. They noted that typically they don't allow children but they understood with a baby that young and would accommodate us. I was so excited and the next day took her in. Everything went so well, and her baby was so good. He didn't make any noise at all, which we were being super conscience of. When I went to the counter to pay however, the owner cornered my friend and proceeded to tell her that she couldn't have her baby in the salon. She was taking so long to come to the counter that I walked back around to see what was keeping her. He literally had her cornered on the pedi both. I could see her embarrassment as he was talking to her. When we got outside she burst into tears. He had made such a scene. Even the staff literally had dropped jaws. He had humiliated her and made her feel ashamed for coming in. I truly understand a no child policy, but that was why I called ahead to ask about it. I felt so horrible for the way she was treated. I just could not believe that someone, a business owner would be so heartless and insensitive to a brand new, exhausted new mom.....especially when we had made such an effort ahead of time to make sure it would be ok. I can't bring myself to ever go back. I am still just in awe that the owner would mistreat my guest so badly. I was so embarrassed by Two Rivers. read more
