Purchased a deep clean for a 1BD1BA 930 sqft apartment. The maids came promptly, started working immediately, and spent about 2 hrs total. Everything looked satisfactory at first but after further inspection and reviewing the cleaning tasks included in the deep clean I found several gaps. There was dirt and debris left around the trash can in the kitchen and around the toilet, cobwebs in multiple rooms, and dust remaining on the light fixtures. Immediately after the maids left, I used a white towel to dry the moisture from the floors and it came away brown. I have been using Two Maids for 3 years without a single issue. Highly recommend them. They always pay attention to details, flexible on all my requests. I see some unhappy people's reviews but excellent service cant be cheap, after all its a business not a non profit organization. My suggestion to all who wants to try the service on a first day show them how you want and guide them. They will follow that rule. Save your money. Complete waste. Mari, I forgive you but please get out of here with pathetic lies & attempts at deflecting. More time wasn't needed, more training was needed. "Booked after hours" according to Mari.... Online says open 24hrs so maybe lie better. 10 minutes before they arrived the office called me to increase the price from 209 quoted online for the 2 hour clean to the deep cleaning rate of 150 for the first hour then 100/hour after that. I requested a 2 hour cleaning service at my direction, just wanted help with cleaning the kitchen (dishes washed) & bathrooms (toilets & tub cleaned) & hanging away laundry in my room... that was it... but they clearly had their own plans. It's laughable they would say the house was in a horrible state and that they did not have adequate amount of time to complete the few tasks that I had listed. Service providers had adequate amount of time to complete all the tasks that I had requested.... & I know this because my previous cleaning lady (1 college student) would finish all that work within 1-1.5hours (with a vape break)... The 2 hour clean is what I ordered and they tried a bait & switch & just created 5hours more work for me. I'll be hiring someone else in the future because there is 0 excuses for why they couldn't get the limited work directed done HAD THEY STAYED ON TASK AS EXPLICITLY DIRECTED. PROBLEMS: (1) I asked them to NOT clean my child's room because we were packing for a trip. They moved everything in his room & shoved his clothes we were packing under his bed in his sensory play area & put hard toys into the bean bag chair so he would've been jabbed by them & hurt if he jumped on it. CREATED SAFETY HAZARDS FOR AN AUTISTIC CHILD WITH EPILEPSY & ADHD. (2) I asked them to hang laundry & I would put it away. They put hangers on the bed & piled the laundry on the floor, so it needs to be redone. (3) I never asked them to vacuum or mop because my roomba's programmed to take care of that 2x/day . They did it anyways in my bedroom & my child's room (that I told them to stay out of & even closed the door to prevent them from entering) & the kitchen & the hall (that were all clean). (4) I directed them to help clean dishes, but instead they: - just shoved them in the dishwasher with dishes that were already clean. - put Items in the dish washer that were marked hand wash only. - Never put soap in the dishwasher! - Started running the dishes without any soap!?! (There's no excuse for this beyond wasting time and incompetence on how to clean anything) (5) Items broken during cleaning. (6) pocket money (about $60 cash in 20's & 5's) stolen from my bedroom (7) put garbage in recycling & cans in paper recycling bin. It's tragic the company owner, Maria, needs to try shaming a customer by claiming the Home was "in a state" ' just to make excuses for her poorly trained staff. Please explain: - is the "state" of the home why they couldn't follow directions? - Is that why they tried to clean my living room & other areas that I told them to not because it was clean? - Is that why they didn't use soap when they loaded the dishwasher? - Is that why they entered a room they were told to stay out of & shove clothes under a bed like a 5 year old & proceeded to put hard and objects & scissors that were on my childs desk into a bean bag at the the end of the slide down from his bed? - Is that why they took out my kitchen trash & cans for recycling & put both into the blue recycling bin when I directed them to just wash the dishes? - Is that what happened when they did a lot of things that were expressly directed to NOT DO because they just wasted everyone's time & my money? - is that why they broke items? - is that why they stole money from my bedroom? FACT: had my previous person not move to Baja to be closer to her family because she finished school, I'd still be using her help every other month for $100 & would've never need to use this terrible company owned by Maria, a person that makes excuses for incompetent service providers. FACT: they came in and created more work than what was there when they arrived. FACT: Yes, they worked for 2 hours, doing a ton of stuff I said to not do under the claims of "cleaning" while they did not clean anything, created danger hazards for a special needs child, made a mess of the bedrooms, broke several dishes and items in my home, & stole my money while I was in my office working. The refund that the reviewer is speaking of never occurred as my account still shows that they have taken out the money. The "discount" is not in accordance with corporate licensing practices, which these issues have been reported. The only reason more time would be needed is because they didn't do what they were directed to do because of just sheer incompetence. I interviewed several cleaning services, chose Two Maids & A Mop because I was told they are flexible on scheduling. The other services charges deep cleaning fee if we are going for a long vacation, I think it does not make sense to charge deep cleaning rate when nobody is at home when we are away. When I signed up with Two Maids, I asked the representative if I were on vacation, would Two Maids charge me the deep cleaning rate to resume the service. I was told NO, the service schedules are flexible, I can resume/skip the service any time, which sounded very good to me. I signed up in April 2022 with initial deep cleaning charge $490, although it is very expensive, I thought I would have a spotless, shining house. However, the two-cleaning lady did not clean my bathrooms well, cleaned my kitchen partially, did not clean my cabinets AT ALL(I have pictures to proof)!!! they dusted here and there, vacuumed the bedrooms and floors, cleaned the windows. They did not clean doors/light fixtures and other items on their list. We went on vacation in May, I called and asked if I could reschedule to a different date and update the schedules for the rest of the months, I was told a manager will call back to me to discuss about it. I never get a call back from any managers. I called again, they told me they can reschedule me to a day close to the end of May, which would be close to my cleaning schedule in beginning of June, I asked them if I could skip the service in May and was told its fine, my next service day was scheduled in June. I came back from vacation beginning of June. One day before the scheduled service day in June, I called them to ask them if they could ask cleaning ladies to clean the kitchen and bathrooms first before they clean other parts of the house (they do not speak English at all). Only found out that, they cancelled my service, and if I want to continue their service, I must pay the deep cleaning rate $490 AGAIN!!! I think this is a scam! They say nice things to lure me sign up their service to pay the expensive initial deep cleaning rate, and then when I must be away on vacation, I was told all is fine and well, but when I ask to continue the service, another $490 must be paid again! I booked a "Design with time" cleaning for our new home. The company was very responsive by email and text. I originally booked for 2 hrs and later changed it to 3 hrs. I asked them to focus efforts on the kitchen, bathrooms, and master bedroom and then to do whatever else they could with whatever time was remaining. I showed up to let them in the house and said that I would be back in 3 hrs. I had every intention of tipping these ladies once I got back. I attained back at the house 2 1/2 hrs later and found that the ladies had already gone and that they had left my front door unlocked. No one had called me to "check out" or anything, I called customer service to complain. While they touched every room of my home they did not clean the exteriors of the kitchen cabinets, the oven, etc. I literally said that the kitchen was the top priority. Customer service told me that the office was closed at that moment but that she would have someone follow up with me when they returned to the office. No one ever called, emailed, or texted to follow up with me. They DID only charge me for two hours. So I guess communication maybe wasn't good? They had originally planned to start at 9am and when I changed from 2 to 3 hrs they bumped it up to 8:30am. They showed up at 8:30am so still wondering how they didn't end up staying the length of time I asked. They did a fair job at the actually cleaning but, based on this experience, I am unlikely to book again. read more

I struggle with letting someone into my home to clean it because it is often a disaster. In fact, I had never had a cleaning service until Two Maids & A Mop. The owner, Marnie, was comforting and in fact normalized that my nervousness at having someone come into my home was "normal" and "ok" and that they are a judgement free zone . Two maids came into my home and worked their magic. My wood floors were spotless (first time ever), my baseboards were gleaming, and my house was dusted and my bathrooms was spotless. Beds were maid. Countertops were cleaned and my stove top was clean of grease and grime. The smell of a clean house, not cleaned by me, was exhilarating!!! I am relieved and addicted. Do not understand all the 5 stars. Was not impressed. Never received a survey after the cleaning was done, despite advertising that pay was linked to performance. Did not clean entire bottom of double oven though it was at the very top of my 3 hr priority. Did not mop or sweep first floor. Took 3 people to do 2 levels when regular cleaners send 2 and does all 3 levels. They seemed to be wasting time since this was a by the hour cleaning. Did not offer to do a free clean just a $25 refund. read more
