We used Spark and Shine a few weeks ago and were very pleased with their work. The price for a deep clean was an excellent deal. We will definitely be using them again. read more

I have had the pleasure of working with Sam and his team at Spark and Shine for several years now. He and his team are by far the most responsive, professional and thorough home cleaning specialists in this area. Folks, I was a business operator in customer service for many years and don't give 5 stars lightly. Kudos to Spark and Shine for shining through consistently each time they've visited my home. Keep up the great work! read more

Great cleaning service, very friendly, and good communication. We had all bathrooms in our house cleaned for a very fair price.

excellent service. prompt and quick. store is super clean and always smells wonderful. highly recommend

This company quoted a very reasonable, flat rate, for a Move-Out Cleaning; which was my primary motivation for picking them. Wow, did I hit the jackpot! They sent a team of two. Both ladies were punctual, well equipped, and very respectful of COVID precautions. The job was completed quickly and efficiently. I will definitely use Spark & Shine in the future! read more

Very professional company and also accommodating. We were very glad to find them since they had availability when we needed it. Thank you!

Sam was quick to respond to my request, and was able to get me an appointment pretty quick. The maids did a fantastic job with cleaning our entire home in less than 2 hours. 10/10 would definitely use this service again and recommend. read more

Well yes and no! I needed a move service for "carpet cleaning and home cleaning". The carpet cleaning quality was great. However, it's pricy compared to other carpet deep cleaning. It was not reasonable price. If you are able to deal with pricy service, I would recommend this carpet cleaning. Home cleaning, Maybe! 3 women showed up at 1 and I would expect to see them at 2 pm. Thankfully, I was home to let them in. I needed kitchen ( everything in the kitchen) cleaning, 2 bathrooms, windows, dust on the lights. Again, move in means empty place cleaning. The bathroom lights didn't clean, laundry room didn't clean, inside kitchen empty cabinets did not clean, the sprayed the stove and left it there without cleaning it off. Few days after, I turned on the oven, and smoke came out it after few minutes. It's because the cleaning team forgot to clean off the sprays from the oven. So , cleaning home is not recommended. read more

I made several phone call for cleaning campanies for moving out cleaning services. Some companies a little bit pricey and some company i have to wait for a couple of days for they come out and look at the place first for the estimate and then they will going to give me the price. it will be take about 5 ~ 6 days. (I was in a little rushed.) The other company i called they didn't even response my phone call for message i left. And some other campany was sounds like a not happy and unpleasure to answering there phone. :( Yesterday My husband sent me some picture of cleaning company's advertising poster on there car. (I will update picture) I've got the phone number from that. I called spark and shine cleaning services yesterday(7/26/2016) and i was asked estimate for move out cleang service for 3 bed room Apartment condo in Manassas. (Very friendly who was answering the phone)And i requested earliest possble because i wanted to finished before i heading to work. They were gave me very good price and very quick response for service scheduled for next day morning!! They even set scheduled at 7:00am this morning.(i believe there business hour is starting 8:00am). Im so impressed what they did and they have done really great job for the cleaning like the name. I will definitely contact them again for cleanimg my new home. read more

Spark and Shine Cleaning Services - Office Cleaning Near Me - Gainesville, Virginia

I am giving this company an average rating based on my two experiences with them. The first was very impressive. (January 2, 2018) The housekeepers were on time and did a very good job. They missed a few spots but when back and touched up the areas I wasn't happy with. One thing that I missed was the dirty dishes in the dishwasher. I didn't see this until they left. My dishwasher is not the best so I tend to only put pre-washed dishes inside. Again, they had no way of knowing this so I let it go. And what the did correctly was more than I expected. (Stove, oven, fridge awesome). The owner followed up to see how the service went and was very receptive. I told him that I would be using the service again. March 14, 2018 - Again, they were on time and polite. I told them that I had to run out for about an hour and that I would be back in an hour or so to pay (I was actually going to get cash and food to have cash for a tip for each of them and inspect their work. (We have roughly 3500 square feet). They were gone before I got home. According to the alarm system, they left in less than 1.5. At first, I thought they had taken a break because the house cleaning was clearly not done. The dishes were not done; the carpet in the basement wasn't vacuumed; the oven door was dirty on the outside - - -so I waited. Then I called Sam. He was under the impression that with four women, they had just finished faster. I was furious because I just wanted a deep spring cleaning and I explained that to them when they arrived. The house is usually very clean, I just wanted them to do the annoying things that I didn't feel like doing (ceiling fans, shower doors) and basic deep cleaning. Not just wiping the surface and leaving. Sam offered to have them come back, which is the only reason they didn't get a much lower rating. I explained that I didn't have time to stand over them, watch them clean AND point out all the things they should already know to clean!!! For that amount of effort, I might as well do it myself. I was so annoyed and I didn't have the time or energy to have them come back. Instead, I told him that they did half the job so I paid him for half the service and then cleaned the entire house myself. Sam was understanding and apologetic. My overall impression is that they make an excellent first impression to get the job done and it goes down hill. Sam, called and apologized and accepted my terms. I will not be using this service again. If I can't trust them to clean when I am not looking and not wait for me to inspect their work, I don't need them. read more

My husband and I used Spark and Shine cleaning services for our "move-in" clean. I based hiring them off of their reviews, but not sure the reviews are accurate. The only two positives I have to say is they cleaned the windows and Sam the owner was great at communicating. They say they will clean the baseboards and inside of the cabinets...they definitely did not. I'm pretty sure they didn't even clean the downstairs bathroom or wipe the countertop on the bar in the basement. My husband and I spent the entire day cleaning our house AFTER we paid $200 to have it "professionally" cleaned. I wanted to hire a cleaner regularly and thought this company could potentially do that, but this was a terrible job. I would NOT recommend them for a move in or move out clean. Very disappointed. We did have a mishap with our initial cleaning time as we just moved in and I had the wrong key. They were very understanding and very responsive. It did cost $95 to reschedule, but it was my fault so it's understandable. I debated on whether or not to post this review as I had never hired a cleaner before so this was my first impression. I knew it wasn't as clean as I thought a "move in" clean should be but I didn't have anything to compare it to. But I hired someone to do a move out clean of our apartment and after they did a FANTASTIC job I realized this company is severely slacking. I want to let others know to not make the mistake I did and waste their money. read more

Very disappointed with this service! When I mentioned to Sam he wasn't to interested! Buyer beware - they have a 24 hour guarantee - that they failed to tell me about before the service. Reply to Sams comments..... Sam yet again I am disappointed by your poor custom service & business savvy. I would like to clarify what actually took place. After the service was completed you contacted me asking me to place a review in Yelp. I wasn't asked if I was satisfied with the service. I may not have contacted you within a 24 hour time period - however my opinion & concerns are still valid & true! Yes I did have intentions to set up a weekly or bi- weekly service with you. However, our correspondence with you was because we wanted to insure any further services from you would be of a much higher standard. As many of the items you mentioned would be cleaned were in fact omitted by your "maids". When I asked your maids to do the work they refused. However, there was a language barrier, they had no English. - Vacuum floors - Mop tile/hardwood floors - Dust furniture and decorative items - Remove cobwebs - Remove trash and empty wastebaskets - Wipe and clean/sanitize blinds, window ledges, baseboards, chair rails, light fixtures, ceiling fans and wall hangings - Clean and shine entrance door and the patio door glass - Clean and sanitize bathrooms (vacuum/mop floor, clean toilet, countertops, sink, cabinets, shower and mirrors) - Clean kitchen counters tops, clean/ sanitize sink, table, exterior of kitchen cabinetry and appliances When I asked your maids to do the work they refused. As I mentioned to you my husband was away on business when the service was conducted. On his returned he pointed out that the cleaning service was below standard. I contacted you to have the work rectified & to move forward with a biweekly service. However you ignored my text. That is when my husband stepped. We paid you $140 for the service - how did we scam you? We got no free service! I feel your attack on my husband & I to be defamation of our characters & I ask that you apologize. Indeed your attack is a reflection of your poor business etiquette. Instead of trying to fix a problem you personalize the situation. Sam in response to your last comments: Your response is inaccurate - as we are customers of yours and in our experience, you did absolutely nothing to fix the issues we had with your service. We continue to be disappointed that you have personally attached my husband & I, and to date refuse to apologize. Perhaps you can work to resolve this situation. We remain hopeful. As your customers we most certainly don't feel valued! read more

I recently started using Sparkle and Shine about a month ago after receiving a promotion at work resulting in many long days, weekends and travel, hindering me from being able to clean my condo. As I felt terrible internally for outsourcing a company to clean my house, I'm so thrilled to have found Sparkle and Shine! It is a load off of my busy schedule to feel confident that Sam and his reliable and professional staff are only a call or text away! They do a great and thorough job in hour. I am amazed and instantly at peace entering my clean and clean smelling home! The maids are very friendly and pleasant as well as Sam! The monthly service is beyond worth it and I highly recommended anyone who is looking for maid service to contact Sparkle and Shine! read more

Wow, I'm impressed! I have never used a professional cleaning service for my home before, but after moving into a new larger home and being overwhelmed with moving, unpacking, settling in, AND working a full time job I got a recommendation from my neighbor for a cleaning service. She recommended spark and shine. The 2 ladies that arrived for the deep cleaning service arrived on time, fully prepared with every cleaning tool you could think of, and they went straight to work. I went upstairs to give them their space and after an hour I peeked down and it literally was sparkling clean. Every surface was shining! They didn't skip any areas, they dusted and wiped everything. And even loaded my dishwasher. They worked a little over 2 hours, nonstop. I'm impressed and will definitely use Spark and Shine again! read more

Like I said in my original review, we were out of town when the move out clean was scheduled. I wanted to update to add--our home was immaculate upon return!! I'm talking refrigerator cleaned inside & out, microwaves, showers, faucets, literally everything was sparkling! & I'm a little embarrassed to say but I had some dirty baking sheets in the oven--they even cleaned & dried those!! Highly highly recommend & will for sure be a repeat customer! read more

I did not have a good experience with this company. I had scheduled them to clean 3.5 bathrooms and the kitchen. I explained that it was a move out job and they quoted me $190. The date of this job arrived and they were 30 minutes late but that was ok since when they arrived i realized that they were eating in the car and probably had come from another job. I had called them right before they arrived to see where they were and i was told by Sam D. that they were on the way. I got the idea that perhaps it would be a good idea to have the whole townhouse done instead of just the kitchen and the bathrooms and asked Sam to give me a quote over the phone. He told me that he would do all of it for $240.00. I told him that , that was reasonable and told him to go ahead with that. I told him that the people that lived there would not be there and I would leave the check with my mom that lived close by to this and when they were done to just notify me and I would have them give them the check as we had agreed. He said sure no problem. The two ladies went in, and i had to leave after 10 minutes. It was about 15 minutes after I left that I got a call from Sam D. He told me that the cleaning job would actually take longer than expected and that he would like to do the bathrooms and the kitchen only for $240 instead and not do the whole townhouse. I told him that he had quoted me $190 for that and he told me no, now it will be $240. I completely understand him trying to raise the price he has every right to do that. However, what i dont appreciate is that the two ladies started cleaning right away , i had stayed there for a few minutes and nothing was brought up to me. It wasnt until i had left that i received this call basically raising the price, i assume that he thought he was being smart since I would feel obligated to continue with the service. I told him absolutely no way. That he quoted me so and so and he can either do it for that much or nothing at all. He then tried another underhanded move and told me that if i canceled them that I had to pay them $95 for cancellation fee. This is when I lost it, i told him that i wasnt paying for not one cent, and as a matter a fact i didnt want anything to do with them. I told him why should I pay you for cancellation when it is you that doesnt want to do it for the agreed price. He then realized that i wasnt having any of that bs that he was trying to impose on me so he told me he would just waive that fee and have the ladies leave. I believe that he thought i would feel obligated to continue and get more money from me. So, be careful with this company. I ended up hiring another company that did everything for me for $200 so it wasnt as "bad" as they claimed it to be they just wanted more money and this is the tactic they use. read more

The crew that came and did a deep cleaning on our house were awesome. They did a great job and were very thorough. They took so much stress off our shoulders because of the fantastic work that they did. They were done in about four hours because there were two of them and my husband said they were so pleasant. Their manager, Sam, was also very responsive and pleasant in our exchanges. Overrall, it was well worth the money and time! read more

Had two cleaners from this company come and clean my sisters town home before moving in and had a horrible experience. One woman was cleaning my side rails with rags and i asked her to use paper towel please and she gave a major attitude. Then another was cleaning my cabinet that has glass on it and was only doing the bottom. When i asked her to wipe the top she got mad started crying and called her boss. I was in total shock because i have used cleaners many time and never encounter so much unprofessionalism and rudeness to a customer. After that i realized I will definitely not be using this company again or recommending. I basically had to re clean my whole home. Horrible ! read more

If you need a maid, certainly dont call these guys. The manager Sam was VERY responsive and prompt. But that is where it began and end. The cleaning ladies came on time. The first thing they did was start arguing with me that they will not do this or that. VERY unprofessional. Had zero English speaking skills and even lower cleaning skills. They were constantly concerned about how quickly they can leave the home. If your house needs cleaning (which mine still needs, as they did nothing to clean it), please keep the search on and do NOT waste your hard earned money on these people. I really wanted love this company, but there were a few things I just couldn't abide. There were consistently late They didn't clean as requested. I had them do a cleaning on my newly purchased townhouse. It was completely empty. I wanted every nook cleaned and disinfected. I explained this to the guy who books the appointment. At the time I was living an hour away from the townhouse and had my twin girls with me. So it was a big deal if they were late, I wasn't living there at the time and would have to find ways to kill time with two toddlers until they arrived. Sadly, they were over an hour late. It wasn't until a week or so later, after another trip out there that I noticed they had also skipped a great deal. They didn't clean in any of the cupboards or drawers. They didn't clean in the fridge or the oven. All of which I'd specifically requested. I assumed, perhaps, this was my fault. I hadn't checked their work before they left. I was in a rush to get the girls back home before traffic started. So I called again to let them know my concerns. The owner said he wished I'd called earlier, but since I had waited so long he couldn't offer me anything. Thinking this was partially my fault, I just booked another appointment. I explained my situation with my kids and my long drive and let him know I needed them to be on time. He said he understood and that they were only late the first time because of traffic. So one more time I loaded my girls in the car, made the hour long trek and sat in an empty house waiting for them. Again, they were over an hour late. I called the owner and he said, as though he was doing me a favor, that usually cleaning company's give windows of time. I informed him that may be the case, but you didn't give me a window. You gave me an arrival time. After a late arrival, they again failed to address the very issues I'd had on the first visit. This time I checked right after they'd left and took pictures. They didn't clean in all the cupboards and drawers. So I had paid them TWICE and they had failed to what was asked TWICE! I texted the owner with my issues and pics. He said he was sorry and offered me a free cleaning after I'd moved in. I accepted. Again he sets up a time. He says they will arrive between 2:30-3:00. They don't show up until 4:30. However, they do a good job this time. But this time I stay while they clean and ask for the things I want done. The only reason I've given 3 stars is because they offered the free cleaning and that was done well. However, given the caveats of tardiness and needing me to micromanage their work I can't say I'd recommend this business to someone else. read more

Sam the owner is SUPER nice and did his very best to win our business. He even rearranged his client schedule in order to accommodate cleaning of our very large newly purchased home. While is cleaning crew managed to scrape the surface of dirt left by previous owners, they did not do the thorough cleaning that I had hoped for and I specifically asked for (glass doors, bathtubs, inside/outside of kitchen cabinets). Other reviews of his services make mention of small town homes and condos; perhaps the task of an almost 8000sq ft home was challenging to place his crew on at the latter part of the day (4pm). I'm picky but not overly so, so while I feel guilty the crew spent almost 4hrs in the home, I expected a more thorough cleaning. If you have a smaller home you may have better results or maybe it was just an off day for the crew. Unfortunately I am not inclined to try their services again. read more
