I have a very close friend who have been recommending them 4+ years and never had any issues. So it was a done deal right - mistake! She scheduled a move in and a move out for me. they know her and she said this way I will prove to you they are the best. the move in clean was scheduled the day prior me moving in. The house was completely empty. Contractors finished the job and they cleaned their mess prior to leaving. cabinets were not cleaned with dust bunny in it, spider web on the corner of the shower, fridge wasn't cleaned on top nor inside, windows sills not cleaned .... so much that my friend cried and did everything herself. the move out was scheduled and she wasn't going to keep it but, the company offered to come back to redo the work but due to scheduling it wasn't possible. (oh and PS we are still finding area while unpacking that were never touched by them). so I said to my friend, maybe they will send a different team and notify them so we will have a better services this time. MISTAKE again! I waited outside during the cleaning. they asked me to come and check. well they rushed me to check would be a better sentence. they missed a huge dirty wall in the kitchen. " oh sorry" and cleaned it. I went downstairs and in the bathroom toothpaste was still on the mirror and the wall, "may I have your towel please " and I cleaned it in front of them. they then left but had dust bunnies, fridge and freezer not cleaned, side and top of the fridge not clean, front door not cleaned, outlet with light switch not cleaned and one blind damage and one door damage with no attention from management nor discount. bottom line, my friend is so upset that she cancelled her services and told all of her friends who took her great recommendations. it is sad because the move out they could have offered to come back and we would have accepted it but it's been a week with a big silence treatment .... sooo read more

I will have to say that I was reading the reviews to look at possibly going with y'all but after reading the reviews, there's no way I would ever use y'all not because the reviews were necessarily that bad, but because it is unprofessional and inappropriate to ever provide text messages from a customer to you. I've used Affordable Cleaning Services over the years and remained loyal even when I could've went with someone else for service. They rewarded that loyalty with terminating their relationship with me after I provided 3 star feedback after a cleaning, and they encourage feedback to be provided. I've included screenshots with my text messages. I've also received an argument from them after paying $30 for an oven cleaning and they proceeded to tell me the oven compartment was not a part of the oven and that it would cost an additional $20 to clean - screenshot also provided. The reason I'm reviewing them a 1 star is because of the lack of customer service I've experienced, every time things are left uncleaned, there's an argument rather than providing a fix to the problem. The owner is always right and not the customer, but I've stayed with them despite that and they rewarded by terminating their relationship with me. All good, there are plenty of cleaning services being offered. Edit* nothing inappropriate is being used or dealt, and this was never even mentioned or addressed to anyone in the household nor do you have any of their phone numbers to call... I've been using Affordable Cleaning Services for a couple of months and I cannot begin to tell you how pleased I am. First and foremost, Victoria is one of the best professionals I have ever worked with. She is dedicated to her customers and easily reachable. Whether I call her or Yelp message her; she always picks up or responds within minutes. She is always willing to work with your schedule and very nice. The ladies who come always do an amazing job. They come in fours and finish the job in one hour. I'm like how do they clean so fast, but I've checked their work and no complaints so far. They wipe down base boards and staircase rails and blinds. They clean showers and tubs, wipe down everything, redo beds, and organize your messy countertops. They work efficiently and just do an amazing job! After they clean and leave, my sanity comes back because the house is spotless; and smells so good! I highly recommend Victoria and her team! Wouldn't touch with a barge pole if I had my time over again. The staff are unprofessional they have shown pictures of other places where they have cleaned previously, they do not stick to what is agreed on the service plan, often they don't turn up on time and go earlier than planned. I have to result in taking photographs of where they should have cleaned and sent them to the contracts manager who again does attend site. I would warn anyone to stay away. It has resulted me now in seeking legal advice of how i can get out of the contract that I am totally unsatisfied with. read more

So I've never used a cleaning service before, but I feel they did a poor overall job with a move-out house cleaning. I called to talk to them about it and was waiting for a call-back on a partial refund. They've since never called, and avoid me when I call them. The house had been recently remodeled so there was some drywall gypsum plaster bits on a tile floor in the basement. It didn't appear they even tried to get it up but rather mopped over it. I later came back with a wet rag and it came right up... Only 1 of the bathrooms had been used after the remodel and it still had stains in/around the toilet. Found some dried up dead bugs on the carpeting in the master bedroom. Sooo much dog hair still around the floors/baseboards still. I ended up returning to re-clean everything that had missed to still make the house pictures/listing I had scheduled. read more

Find another company. After rescheduling for later in the day, they were still late then left shortly after getting here left with the excuse that they didn't have enough time to clean. It's a small house but messy. I was completely honest about it. If it were clean, I wouldn't have hired a cleaner. Don't waste your time like a did. read more

I have been using Affordable Cleaning for so long that I've lost track of how many years it has been. The owner of this company is far and away the most flexible and client focused person I've ever worked with regarding the care and upkeep of our home. Her teams always have a friendly smile and greeting and get straight to work when they arrive. They take pride in their work and ask me to inspect before they leave. It's worth mentioning that not only do they take great care to clean thoroughly but they are trustworthy. I had one instance where I had dropped money on the floor without realizing it. Marie brought me the cash and told me where she found it. If she had pocketed it I would not have known. Nothing has ever been taken by these folks. In addition, my husband and I have been embroiled in a six months long and counting home renovation/remodeling project that has caused maddening debris, disarray, and displacement of our furnishings. What a lousy first impression! Today WAS SUPPOSED to be the first time I used Affordable Cleaning Services. I contacted this company because they pride themselves on being "local" to the Manassas, Bristow and Gainesville area and I live this area. The cleaning team was scheduled to arrive at 4:00 today. However, Victoria called me around 3:15 to let me know that the cleaning team was JUST leaving Alexandria and that they would not arrive until approximately 4:40. The "excuse" for why the team would be 40 minutes late was blamed on the Alexandria homeowner. According to Victoria, the cleaning team was only scheduled to clean 2 levels of the Alexandria house, but the homeowner would not let the team leave until all 3 levels of the house were cleaned. So, the miscommunication between the Alexandria homeowner and Victoria became my issue. Then, Victoria called me back at 4:40 to say that the cleaning crew was stuck in traffic on 66. SHOCKER! Scheduling a cleaning team to travel to Alexandria and then return to the Manassas area, during the Friday rush hour timeframe, for their next appointment makes absolutely no sense. When the Alexandria homeowner allegedly changed the scope of what the cleaning team was instructed to accomplish, they should have contacted Victoria immediately. Then perhaps Victoria could have checked with the remaining staff to determine whether anyone else was available to arrive on time. Additionally, receiving a call as the team was leaving Alexandria rather than earlier was unacceptable. Not showing up on time for a first appointment; blaming a client and not striving to find an alternative solution is not the way to run a business. Thankfully, I have already scheduled another company to clean my house next week. read more
