Well.... Every other review on here is accurate... Their kitchen must consist of a panini press, a small commercial convection oven, and a fridge. The menu is extremely small and what is on the menu comes out looking and tasting like it was microwaved or ovened (I know not real word, piss off). The bartender literally didn't know how to make A drink... Cape coder... Kamikaze... Any of your basics.... She kept saying "I'm a real bartender I swear hahaha"... I swear her nose grew like Pinocchio when she said that... Over all good place for bottled beer if your to lazy to go somewhere else to grab a drink. read more

Hampton Inn missed a great opportunity to open a good on-site restaurant here. When staying at the Hampton, you have very few dining options. They could have invested in any kind of restaurant, even a chain/franchise. Instead, they have this small pub/lounge. It's acceptable. You can get something to eat and drink here. Your options, and your experience, will be limited. It would not surprise me if the "kitchen" were composed of a small grill, a panini grill, a microwave, and a refrigerator. After we sat down, it took a couple of minutes for one of the waitresses to visit our table. By then we had decided what to eat and drink. They only have Sam on tap, and everything else, including Sam Seasonal, is in bottles - or so they say. Since we wanted drafts, we ordered Sam - we actually got Sam Summer (so... win). BUT... as soon as we finished giving our waitress our drink order, we paused to begin our dinner order, and she walked away without even checking with us. The rest of the evening, the other waitress too, (MUCH) better care of us. The buffalo chicken fingers appetizer was okay, as was my panini. The lasagna was obviously microwaved. Everything was ok, nothing more. I wish there had been more of a pub or lounge atmosphere to the place. read more

After a long drive to this hotel we didn't want to go out. We decided on the hotel bar/lounge. They were short staff so they served in to go containers. We had hamburgers and quesadillas as well as a salad. All were fresh, hot and the salad was crisp and full of tasty veggies. We were very happy with our late night meal as well as the staff that served it. They could not have been nicer and the food was great. I also have to say the beer was cold! No complaints here just a pleasant surprise. read more

Just awful. Inside the Hampton Inn. I watched the "bartender" make a Manhattan pour it over ice in a large plastic cup. The only glassware is beer bottles. No food. But, if you staying at the Inn without a car, you have no other options. read more

This is the awkward hotel bar in the Hampton Inn. There's really nothing to it. Good place to just sit down, grab a quick hot meal and a drink. When we were there, they had exactly one beer on tap: Sam Adams Boston Lager. The bartender was friendly, the food was adequate, pricing was OK. I'll probably be back because I do plan on staying at the Hampton Inn again. read more

This lounge in the Hampton Inn is convenient ... but that's about it. We had a rough day walking around the city and wanted something easy for dinner. Usually hotels have pretty good food so we went down to the lounge and ordered a couple of drinks and some dinner. I wasn't expecting much, but I was expecting the bartender to know how to make drinks. I ordered a Sangria off the menu and they spent 10 minutes debating how to make the Sangria and then came to tell me that they don't have the mix for that ... mix?? I then ordered a Cosmo and it came in a water glass ... with the cherry at the bottom and tasted as if it too was made with a mix!! The dinner was okay. I had raviolis ... with a jarred sauce (or something that tasted like it was jarred) and my husband had fish and chips. The food was nothing like what I had had in other hotels in my travels (and I travel a lot) and the fact that they couldn't mix drinks themselves was a bit disappointing as well. read more

Our flight was canceled and after spending 8 hours at Logan International we couldn't wait to check into a hotel and grab a bite to eat. Since the Hampton Inn was pet friendly, here we were. We walked into the Lounge tired, beaten up and hungry. Then we met Kelly our bartender, server and smiling spirit. She was awesome. Since this was a full bar, the martini and long island ice tea were at our table instantly. Then she asked to take our order. Hubby ordered crab cakes to start and fish and chips. I ordered spicy wings and chili, she immediately asked me where I was from when I said California, she said, you might not like our chili. I of course asked why and she said because we do not make our chili the same way in Boston, it doesn't have the spice or the ingredients you might be used too. When she gave a great description of the chili I realized she was right, I wouldn't like it. GREAT SAVE!!! So I chose pepperoni pizza instead. The appetizers came, the crab cakes looked different, way different from what we were used to but they tasted great. The wings were VERY tasty but not at all spicy, they are very cautious with their spice in Boston. The wings had been cooked and then finished off on a grill giving them a smoky flavor and texture, very nice. The fish and chips were average, nothing to get excited about. The pizza was very good. Thin crust, cooked crunchy with lots of pepperoni covering the entire pizza. This was not a personal sized pizza though and could have fed both of us. The drinks were on point and generous pourings. I would have never thought to find this little gem inside a Hampton Inn. Pricing was decent too. read more

Sad... like most, I come here for work after being beat up by planes, airport car rental - Avis is Awful, no lunch and no desire to do the traffic for dinner. Almost ordered a deliver pizza when I found the menu for the "restaurant" in the lobby. I was pleasantly surprised since it's rare to find a Hampton with a restaurant. They really could have a captive audience however...they should stick to bar food and "try" to make that better. I debated between the Salmon and veggies... (being good) and the nachos with chicken. Salmon won since I also wanted a ever couple beers. I also got the clam chowder which was OK but I'm not a good judge cause I've never had it before. It's suppose to be chewy? Right? Had to wait for napkins....wait for silverware, and waiter had to see what was taking the order so long... salmon was inedible. Like they spilled the pepper shaker all over it and it was way over cooked and dry. Veggies were tasteless like it was microwaved and would it kill them for the price to add a little butter. For the price... and for a hotel that costs $300+ a night... you would think they could do better. Waiter saw that I was unhappy so he didn't charge me for dinner... which was cool, but just a cup of chowder and 2 beers were $17+... and I'm still hungry.... Delivery Pizza tomorrow...... read more

Food is terrible. Beers are pricey. Take a cab to East Boston for real food or just order take out and have it delivered.

I can see why this joint got 2.5 stars, It took forever to get the food. The wait staff was ok but major changes are needed with kitchen staff. will look for alternate eat place henceforth. NO close food options so this place takes advantage with low grade frozen food, reheated in a microwave or pizza toaster oven. Bartender is full of attitude and short with customers. Ordered simple chicken tenders and was told it will be 30 mins. It took 45 and they were still frozen on the inside. They do havea popcorn machine but no popcorn in it. This place needs serious leadership and reform before I spend another dime there. read more

Needed a place to eat after a long day of sightseeing and not wanting to go out. The wine was delicious. The panini I ordered was very good also. My boyfriend ordered the ribs and he enjoyed his meal as well. The only complaint I had was it took some time to get the food out and the place wasn't even crowded yet. read more
