I heard good things about this place so I came to try it out. However, I waited 30 minutes to receive my coffee with people who ordered after me receiving their drinks within 5 minutes. It wasn't even busy in the store at the time. I asked the employees if maybe they have forgotten my order. They proceeded to say that it was not received in the computer, but once they looked again it was there on the main register. I was not even offered a free pastry or something small for a mistake on their part and a thirty minute wait for one cup of coffee. Once I let them know, it only took three minutes. To top it off, when they gave me the drink it was only about 80% full. Coffee was very good, just a bad costumer service experience. I understand technology messes up at times, but the situation could have been handled a lot better. read more

Baristas in the morning are super sweet and awesome. The what I am guessing is the owner an older lady wasn't so welcoming. Brought in my own glass cup because I noticed they didn't provide glass cups for guest who dine in so I asked them to use my cup because I didn't want to use plastic and she would not take it. They offer a limited menu consisting of sandwiches, a picnic tray, and pastries. They also prepare rolled ice cream which is incredible. This is an example of a great family run business in Old Town. They started as a vendor in the Old Town Clovis Farmers Market and found a brick and mortar space . . . did wonders remodeling the space and now it's a great attraction to Old Town. Very nice coffee/ice cream bar. Went for the coffee and found out they also have ice cream, which I didn't have the opportunity to give it a try so this review is mainly focused on the coffee. In regards with the coffee I had a decent Latte, but the coffee tasted burnt and it definitely wasn't expected considering they roast their own coffee. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Nice little place downtown, but thier coffee is subpar compared to many other coffee shops. Hope this review helps those who enjoy a higher quality cup of coffee and not something similar to Starbucks. read more

I order the Maple Cinnamon Latte one day before work. It was delicious, very flavorful and for me an 8oz is the perfect size. I really like they the way this shop was decorated and laid out, clean, clutter free, with 2 doors. They also have a back patio which will be nice in the spring and summer. I have yet to find the hours posted online, I've only seen them on the door. I also didn't see a food menu for small things at breakfast, like pastries. Regardless I will keep coming here, the people were nice the coffee was good. Will definitely order some ice cream when the weather warms up. I Completely recommend. read more

Thank you for taking the time to discuss differences and ideas. I think we ended the conversation more or less agreeing to disagree. But I feel respected and the feeling of community resurfaced. Thank you. I hope a short discussion will happen next time I try to order something they don't want to make. ORIGINAL 2 STAR REVIEW: This place REFUSES to make coffee for the customer. This is the second time in a row that I asked for a coffee made my way and they refused to do it. Today I wanted vanilla in my cold brew and they won't do it. To preserve the **flavor**. You are not impressing anyone. You're just being annoying. I got normal cold brew and had to get a shot with vanilla on the side and mix it in myself. COME. ON. I get it. You want to be fancy and respect the integrity of coffee. I've been there as a barista for 6 years getting annoyed at ridiculous drink requests. But after 6 years, I realized coffee is about community and relationships and bringing simple joys to the hundreds of lives you encounter every day. If someone wants to trash your coffee with vanilla, LET THEM. That will make them happy. And that's what it's about. If you want to spread your reputation as coffee snob, then offer a sample of plain cold brew to show the customer they may not need the vanilla. But then ultimately, give them the damn vanilla if they want it. It's just vanilla. Even as I write this I realize how silly it seems to get up in arms about vanilla. But this is the second time this has happened and it's about the business model of choosing snobbery over joy. Stubborn coffee shops suck. You value flavor notes over bringing simple happiness to a customer and building relationships with the community. Get over yourselves. There are plenty of coffee snobs who will come drink your plain cold brew. Me included on a normal day. Let us have the option to put a flavor in if we want to. Went in for ice cream, my kid wanted vanilla with whipped cream. Waited 30 mins which was fine, I understood it was a busy night. After about 40 minutes passed, I realized something was wrong, because everyone who ordered behind me was leaving with their orders. I went up to ask for a refund and was told they were actually "making my order right now." I looked at the order the worker was referring to and realized it was someone else's order. She went over to talk to her co-workers and came back and said "I'm sorry, I don't know what happened." Somehow, our order was skipped over and missing completely. We received our refund, and the girl was nice about it, just a little disappointed. The owner was right next to her when this was all happening and never said one word, also disappointing. I have had coffee here before, it was good, but I also waited a long time for that order. It's cute and clean inside, the kids working there are sweet. They need some improvement in their order management, I think perhaps because they have outgrown their small establishment. read more

We found Two Cities on accident one day while driving around Clovis after a day at the zoo. I have a love for small, local coffee shops and had also been wanting to try rolled ice cream that we don't have in the town I live. We live an hour or so away but this will definately become a new regular stop for us during our monthly(ish) zoo visits. read more

Soft opening is today and my friends and I stopped by to try the rolled icecream. The Icecream taste amazing but what made me want to come back to this place again are the people and environment inside. The people are super friendly and the vibe inside the store is soothing and nice. Speaking of the rolled Icecream, my friends and I ordered the Chocolate Truffle, Apple Pie and Penguin Latte. If you like/love coffee I SUGGEST the Penguin Latte, it's AMAZING! It can be too sweet so you could ask them to not add the chocolate swirl at the end. The Chocolate Truffle was also great, it wasn't too sweet. It had the right amount of flavor. Then, I wasn't a fun of the apple pie but my friends liked it because you could really taste the apple flavor and it's top with granola bar. Lastly, I think the price for it is very affordable, $6.50 and the quantity is great and shareable. Overall, I would go back to this place again :) read more

Ice cream was great, but customer service was HORRIBLE. I found a piece of hair in my ice cream and after debating if I should go tell them or not, I did. The owner of the place came outside (we were sitting outside) and told me that they'll make me a new one, but the hair found in the ice cream wasn't from any of the employees. I responded that I don't know where the hair came from, but it's not mines and it was in the ice cream. She then looked at my kids and gave me a smile, like she was accusing me of putting my kids hair in the ice cream so I can get a new one. Mind me, I am not one to complain. They make really great coffee and I love that they oat milk as an option! I come here often with my boyfriend. We have not tried the ice cream yet but speaking for their coffee it's one of the best in town. Only reason I don't give them 5 stars is because the wait can take a long time. The shop is very tiny, personally it's not really a place to stay and hang out or study just because it's so small and can feel crowded if there's a line. But it's definitely a cute shop. Not 100% sure if it's quality coffee. Tried them the first time at Riverpark farmers market. I had the $4 amber iced coffee and it tasted just like a Starbucks iced coffee that I could've gotten at Starbucks for less than $2. I don't know if I could reason $4 for the taste and strength of their coffee ? Friendly customer service. I am looking forward to their rolled ice cream. It has a very nice layout it's very cozy and well taken care of. The ice cream is delicious about 7 or more dollars for an ice cream -I don't remember exactly. - The guy with glasses who makes the ice cream is too serious wasn't very friendly or helpful when we first came in but the other employee was friendly. I frequent the place! The coffee is really good, the food is really good, the peach tea is really good, and the aesthetic is nice. The only reason I am giving this coffee shop three stars is because the baristas are really unfriendly. The first time I went there when it first opened there was an extremely friendly gentleman working and I was impressed by the service. Since then, the service has been more on the rude side. When I choose to sit down for a coffee with a friend, I always choose Kuppa Joy because I have yet to talk with a cold barista and they make me feel like they want my business! Not to mention they are the original coffee joint in downtown Clovis and they've been giving incredible service for a long time. It has a very well decorated interior, and ample outdoor seating. The owners and employees make the environment extremely welcoming. Rick does outstanding work with the beans he roasts. And knows coffee, he can help you make an educated decision on which drink to order, if you can't decide. One of my go to drinks is the 608. I love the alternatives to milk options they offer. For a while no one was serving Oatley, and now it's all the rage! I love their iced Americano for a more simple beverage. The rolled ice cream is phenomenal, and they are always creating new flavors. If you're stopping in a little hungry, give their wraps a try. Superb for Togo orders and all are really refreshing in taste. The picnic box is great for just that, or when I'm not all that hungry. This place is a must try! :) I will say, they do get busy, so be prepared to wait. But to me it's worth it. read more
