I've made three moves in the last six months and these guys are by far the best I have ever had. The owners take personal pride in dealing directly with you as a customer and making sure that you are happy before, during and after the move. They are personable, respectful, professional and smart about the way they move your furniture. They thoughtfully stack furniture in the truck correctly. They take care to make sure that it's protected and they couldn't be nicer about placement or rearranging furniture once moved in. They are also very thoughtful piano movers and carefully consider the care and delicate nature of moving fine acoustic pianos. By far the worst moving company I've ever encountered. "Forgot" half our stuff at our old house, asked to finish moving us another day, and banged up and ruined furniture. Half way through them packing up my house, they asked if they could come back the next week to finish the job....I told them no, they continued to push asking if they could come back the next day because they had another appt. at this point it was only a couple hours into the move and all of my belongings were in boxes. UNACCEPTABLE. Fast forward to the end of the move. We paid the balance and parted ways at our new house, but when we went back to the old house, they had left behind a TON of stuff....carpets, furniture, multiple bins and boxes, shelves etc....I had to make 4 trips to and from my old house to finish the job I had just paid them to do. Upon further inspection of our furniture, multiple items were scratched, dinged up, coming apart, after they moved them I reached out to the owner who I originally spoke with to set up the move, FOUR times, and never received a response. Not only was the move a horrible experience, the lack of customer service was even worse. My issue was completely ignored, never even addressed. I would never recommend these movers to anyone. If the owner would've responded to my multiple attempts to resolve this, I would have never left a bad review. But because he chose to never address the issues, I feel obligated to warn others about this horrible company. read more

I used Two Can Do It again to move from the 2nd story duplex (my previous review) to a ranch. They did a great job at a very reasonable price. This time they used dollies to move the boxes down the stairs and took care to put down rugs so the wheels wouldn't ruin the floor (it was wet out). I'd happily use them again for a future move. read more

Recommended to me by another company to move desk cubicles. Three guys came and didn't know how to disassemble the cubicles nor did they have any tools. When they left, all of the screws and pieces were left on the floor and they took our tools! I've sent several requests to the owner to return our tools and no response. Unbelievable! read more

Started out great! John answered all my questions with what I was hoping to hear, ie: furniture wrapped in blankets, nothing stacked on furniture, climate controlled storage, pest control, insurance, three movers. Well, we got three movers. The day of the move nothing was being wrapped. We questioned it and were told that it would be wrapped at the storage facility. We thought it was odd as we have had movers before but when your house is sold and you need to be out you are frazzled and too trusting. Two months later they delivered our "life" to our new home. None of the furniture looked quite right. Creases and indentations in furniture, scrapes, scratches, dents, markings . The movers constantly told me "they did not do it", " they have never damaged anything before ". I kept second guessing myself....but NO....it was damaged. We were missing items and they brought them within 7 days....not exceptable....one bed could not be put together for three days because the wheel/foot was lost by them. This was a crazy time for us...I had to do all the unpacking myself, we had a funeral the day after we moved, Thanksgiving was two days later, then Christmas! Anyway, sent many emails, took a few pics with my phone and we finally had a great repair/restoration guy come . (I had noted items on the bill and in other emails. We are by law to have 9 months to find damage) However, he was only allowed to repair the items that I had sent pics of. He tried to call and text John to speak with him but got no response. He was not able to fix two of the items that he was to look at. He did not have paint to fix our doorway. He said in his professional opinion (35 years) that nothing was ever wrapped and all the superficial scatches were from cardboard boxes being stored on our unwrapped furniture. He sent John a letter stating what more needed to be done and got no response. I continued trying to get in contact with no luck....asking only for the kitchen table to be fixed, paint to finish the damaged entry way and replacement of a broken item or $ to cover this. His response "we have all gone out of our way to deal with these issues". I disagree and we only have the issues because of them. Sad that they can damage and break items and wash there hands of it. I feel angry and lied to. We have replaced several things on our dime already. Think twice before you use them....... read more

These guys are great! I had a baby grand piano I needed moved, and I was in a panic. It had cost me $500 about 20 years ago to have one moved, so I was thinking it would be about $1000 now. I called these guys, and they said they could do it with two guys, $70/hour. They are located in Racine, and do charge for travel time, which is an hour each way to and from Racine and New Berlin. They estimated an hour for the break down, an hour to move it out of one house and into the other, an hour to set up, plus the two hours travel time. Well, the breakdown was already done by some guys that couldn't complete the job, so it came to four hours for a total of $280! Wow...what a deal! And they were very professional, BIG guys, with experience moving pianos for many years at a reputable piano retailer. And they even offered some comic relief. :) They do all kinds of moves, as well as cleanouts, lawn services, and general maintenance. They are fully insured. DO NOT LET "TWO CAN DO IT" TOUCH YOUR FURNITURE We thought it would be wise to hire professionals to pack our furniture for our move. WRONG. They knew that we were traveling 250 miles. You would think that professional movers would know better than to stack other odd shaped heavy items on top of fine wood furniture without proper protection but that's exactly what they did. These two cabinets cost us $4000 and they don't care that they did this. They claim to be fully insured but they would not even acknowledge my attempts to contact them about this. Below is the email that I sent to John Ballard, the owner of this moving company. I sent it on several occasions including pictures of the damage but he chose not to respond. I also tried calling him several times but he wouldn't answer or return my call. John, On 7-18-17 Steve, Donnie and Garrett helped us move some of our larger items and packed them into the truck. They were very friendly and in general they did a very good job. We expected to have some minor damage like some scuffs and light scratches when moving the contents of an entire house and there was some of that. We had 3 dozen moving blankets, 5 heavy moving pads and large pieces of cardboard available to protect the furniture. When the truck was fully loaded there were extra blankets, pads and cardboard left over. While we were unloading we came to 2 of our nicest wood cabinets a $3000 custom made entertainment center and a solid maple buffet server (see photos). Both of these were covered with a single layer of moving blanket and other items were stacked on top of them. The entertainment center now has about a dozen shallow dimples up to 3/4" in diameter in the top surface that I don't think can be repaired. I couldn't get them to show in a photo but they are visible by eye. The top surface of the buffet is gouged so deep (see photo) that it will need to be removed and run through a planer and refinished. We never expected any major damage like this when using professionals and we fully believe that this could have been avoided had the protective materials that we provided been properly applied. Two Can Do It moved my husband and I from a large home to a smaller home. We had SO MUCH that I thought it was going to take all day to move. I couldn't believe how fast and efficient they were!!! They were so friendly and accommodating as well! I've used other moving companies in the past and they can be a bit careless. This was the FIRST TIME that we had NO breakage, damaged items, or missing items! They were so polite and wonderful to work with. I was impressed about every aspect of their professionalism, hard work, and dedication. They got us moved in half the time I expected it to take for a VERY fair price! I couldn't possibly say enough wonderful things about them! I will use them for any and all of our moving/heavy lifting needs and highly recommend them! read more

Sorry to be the sour puss here, but I wasn't all that impressed. The price was right, but multiple times two of the guys were on their phones screwing around and they seemed to want to do anything but move. Sorry, but if you don't want to move, then don't become a mover. When I initially moved in, the company my dad hired was first class. Boxes lifted on the guys backs and they shimmied up the stairs like rapid fire, incredible!!! These guys were really not that. I know moving is a bitch, I get it, but again. You hire people to do a job and pay accordingly. I will say for the positive that it was affordable with the truck rental included. I just wish the guys that volunteered would have showed more initiative. They came up to my apartment saw all the boxes and seemed puzzled and perplexed. Apparently I am the lone wolf here, but moving is expensive and a pain in the ass. However, if you are going to do a job, and get paid, then do it. read more

Set an appt for today 8.24 over a month ago. Illinois move. Called us this morning at 8.40 am after we began moving to 'confirm' our appointment. We did not pick up the phone since we were already between homes moving small stuff and they did not show up. Called several times finally received a phone call back and he had the audacity to tell us since we did not pick up the phone they were not showing up. My husband and I took a day off of work to move today. They confirm the same day and 40 minutes late and they haven't even left? Move RUINED. WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN THE MOVERS DON'T SHOW UP??????? I've moved more times than I care to remember. I'm not the most organized person and I have more stuff than I should. To my surprise my move was entirely painless and actually I had a great day!!! I simply communicated in an email my concerns about the job, mainly that I had too much stuff, am very disorganized and I didn't know what things I wanted to put in storage and what I wanted to move from my large 3 bdrm into a smaller 2bdrm apartment. When I had moved into the 3bdrm it took four guys two days and it was very stressful. Moving out of it and packing two storage units only took Two Can Do It a 6 hour day (I requested an additional man so it was actually three, not two.) They packed my two storage units beautifully. The units are very organized and had it not been done by them I don't think the stuff would have fit into two units! They treated my belongings, my husband and myself- even my cat- with respect and consideration. They were upbeat and worked as a team. And they were all very skilled, smart, diligent, kind and professional. There wasn't a moment in the entire day when I wasn't entirely satisfied. It truly was the best move I've ever had and that is saying a lot since I've moved lots of times and have always used professional movers. Unlike most movers these guys really are good at what they do. They made sure my apartment was in a livable condition the way I wanted it before they left for the day. It is hard for me to put into words the gratitude and appreciation I have for the work they've done. I could give them a BIG HUG!! They made it feel so simple and really effortless for me, smiling and checking in with me about everything all the while they were doing the sweating, huffing and puffing and working hard to move a huge truck load of large antique pieces and lots of stuff I've acquired.
