We have moved many times, and this was the very best move ever! Their quote was accurate, and we added things at the end, and those items were added economically to our final bill. I was very impressed by the professional and friendly attitudes of both Al and Don. They even moved a console piano (extra fee, but I knew that in advance) and were very careful with it. No damage happened to any furniture; everything was thickly wrapped in heavy moving blankets and was well packed. They also moved a bedroom set and put it in the garage so it was easier for a charitable organization to pick up later, and carried smaller furniture pieces from the basement to the garage for the same reason. The movers maneuvered a tricky second floor staircase at the first residence and successfully carried down a complete bedroom set with nary a scratch. Kudos also to Isac, who set up our move so quickly - I called on the Wednesday prior and was able to secure a crew for Monday, just a few days later. Very, very happy with Five Star!!

I feared going over the time that was budgeted, student moving out and student is super broke but Cle made it his business to stress a super helpful game plan. We like that they reuse their cardboard boxes and packing paper when they can which is important to us and our environment. My experience with Smart Moves was exceptional. This company is particularly focused on providing moving services for seniors. In my cases, we needed to deal with the passing of my father. After removing the things we wished to keep from his home, we arranged with Smart Moves to donate or dispose of the rest. The crew showed up with packers to box up items and movers to take everything away. Everything went smoothly and as promised. I was pleased with the services offered and the way it was executed. Careless, unprofessional, and ended up leaving the couch on the curb when I refused payment on sight and pointed out the multiple damages they caused including (but definitely not limited to!) deep gouges and scratches in knotty pine paneling and a toppled concrete/stained glass bench one of the employees tried to drag over and use as a doorstop instead of waiting the minute it would've taken for me to go around the side and hold it open myself. This business makes it very obvious they don't care about you or your property - I'd avoid them at all costs (and there will be costs!)

Table was finished…read morequickly and they were on time and professional, however, I was not happy with the workmanship and didn't realize all the mistakes until after they had left. Several of the corners have wrinkles or do not lay flat and do not appear to be tucked in correctly. One of the main rail bolts wasn't even finger tight. When redoing the rails, it was done on my newly felted slate. Now, I can see faint lines or stripes on the felt where the rails were redone. Also, there are a few small gouges in the wood on the rails that weren't there before. When checking with a carpenters level, it is not level. I still need to bring my machinist level home and check, but am hesitant because I know what the results will be. Overall, sloppy work in my opinion. I would not call them again, or recommend them to anyone.
