Awesome burgers! All cooked medium. I ordered The spicy goat which has host cheese and bacon. They have awesome shakes as well as a full bar. Beer is always cold the service always good. It's a regular hangout for all UTA students. Also try the free variety of pickles, wasabi, brad and butter, dill, atomic, sweet and spicy, and ranch! read more

This place serves up some really good burgers! What really sets it apart from other burger joints is its wide range of burgers; they have everything from wagyu to bison to kangaroo. I customized my own burger: bison, mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, bacon, and cheddar. It was really good! The meat was very fresh & juicy. The bison was not dry at all, which it can tend to be due to its low fat content. The french fries were good too. You place your order at a counter then sit down. There are many tables so there is no problem with seating. This is a good place for kids as well becuase they have a child-sized burger. It is the size of a typical burger slider, which is perfect for kids. This is a pretty great place with awesome food and a fun, casual atmosphere! read more

I loved the burgers! The bar was really cute also, a little RV. Quick service and great drinks! Will be going back if I ever visit Arlington again oh if you love pickles- go here!! They make them homemade and many flavors, something I've never seen before! read more

I love their free pickles they provided from the barrel. I like their wagyu burgers and their healthy salads.

Cool place. Delicious and affordable burgers. It's probably the best burger I've had in DFW area. Me and my friend tried the burger of the month (last December 2017) It was an Eggs Benedict style burger with bacon on top and hollandaise sauce. We also got the Le Wagyu burger because you can't go wrong with wagyu beef and I really like caramelized onions on my burger. Both are equally good!!! Of course we also got the Fat Elvis milkshake which is the bomb. read more

I really liked this location, the interior design is fun, with a trailer as the bar and coolers as booth seats. I had the burger of the month and it was ridiculously delicious! I wasn't sure what to expect from a burger with a runny egg and even though it was super messy to eat, it was worth it! I also had an Oreo cookie shake to top it off, overall, I'd def come back to this spot. read more

Twisted Root Burger - Benedict Burgerpatch! Yum! - Burgers Near Me - Arlington, Texas

We have visited this restaurant before and each time we have visited, we have enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. The milkshakes are one of the best! Don't feel that you have to try the flavor of the month, the chocolate is delicious. They have a variety of pickles to choose from and they are a great, free appetizer. read more

This place was awesome we were staying near by and were looking for a good burger and Twisted Root definitely delivered. I got the Western and it was exactly what I hoped it would be. Bacon was perfect, the crispy onion string were the right amount of crispy. The patty itself was seasoned super well. Probably one of the top 10 best burgers I've ever had I tried out their house made root beer and it was also fantastic. They also have local beer on tap and a twisted mule. It was a little too gingery for my taste, but still good. The service was great. Everyone working their was super nice and prompt. They came and checked on us to make sure everything tasted good and if we needed anything else. The inside is super spacious and comfy. They have picnic tables for seating and their bathrooms are shaped like a porta potty. I definitely recommend stopping in if you're in the area and looking for a great burger. read more

Yummmy burgers. We came here as a group of 6. Ordering was really quick. I ordered a bunless Western. It was so good. The combination of jalapeños, cheese, bacon, and fried onions strings is so good. The patty was very flavorful. They have so many different kinds of pickles here to! I love the milkshakes and the fries are good. Definitely a good place for a burger. read more

No nuggets for the kids anymore, no sweet potato chips...not a fan anymore. The kids "meal" isn't a meal at all and you have to ask for cheese on the burger otherwise you just get meat and bread. my chicken was so overdone it was stringy. My husband said his burger had no seasoning at all. This place has gone downhill fast. read more

This is our first time visiting. The parking was difficult to get to as we were not familiar to the "rear parking" lot. We parked out front ( limited spaces), and walked between the two buildings to get to the entrance. Once in, you get a sports bar feel. The order counter is to the right as to our walk in. The menu offers several options and variations to the burger build. There are a few options to the type of meat as well. They have a "meat of the week" option as well, this week was camel. We had the regular beef burger, bacon cheeseburger for her and a double meat wit a fried egg and bacon. With a medium rare cook, the burgers were juicy and well seasoned. The fries looked hand cut, cooked to order . The onion strings were battered well, and had a light crunch. They also make there own pickles and had several flavors to choose from. We will be visiting again soon. read more

Twisted Root Burger - Homemade pickles, yum - Burgers Near Me - Arlington, Texas

Last time I was here, my and my fiance's burgers were cooked to the max. On the menu, it says that all burgers are cooked medium unless other specified. Well, I really think they heated the burgers up in the microwave. The small amount of fries we got were all shorts ends and slightly stale. We have vowed to never return. We were majorly disappointed since last time we went here, it wasn't this bad. Something happened on this day in the kitchen...not sure what but no place that only serves burgers would ever serve what we got. read more

Not impressed with this place. Burgers were cold and said to be medium well with pink in them but meat was cooked through and cold.

Disappointing, haven't been here in a year, quit coming because it was kinda loud and the burgers had become routine. Sorry to say, still bad. Won't be back, though by the attitude of the staff, they don't care. Burger was pink and cool in the center, and frankly, tasteless. Had the caprese burger and the spicy goat. Both bland. Fries were good but they were all remnants. Fried pickles were decent. On the plus side, had the Twisted Mule. Really tasty. Kind of felt dirty and rundown, has lost any youthful vibe that it had. Just a bad burger in a smelly unclean place. read more

I organized a meeting with a group of 30 on a Saturday at lunch time. I was super scared that the service would suck for such a large group, luckily I was very wrong. We took over one of the giant picnic tables by the bar and a couple of extra tables around it. The place was nice and clean, the staff was OUTSTANDING and the food was great. I have been to most Twisted root locations and I think this one is by far the best. Everyone was happy with their food, the prices are reasonable and they have something for everyone. I personally love their veggie burger, the adult shakes are also fantastic, the oreo one is stupid good! Also important to mention that they have a full bar and a decent selection of beer (for a burger place, don't expect 20 beers on tap). read more

What a fun place to have dinner. The decor is a great conversation to have while waiting on your food. We all had burgers and enjoyed each one, hot fries, and home made pickles. read more

Its good! It really really is! But it isn't perfect. I think one of the major selling points of Twisted Root is how quirky and fun it is and that is a really fun aspect to the business, but it doesn't make up for some of its short comings. The menu is a little weird and while not incomprehensible, it will throw some newcomers off. Furthermore, some of the speciality burgers are just plain weird and of the few that I've had are really hit or miss. In particular, the Green Chile Burger was extremely soggy and everything slid out the back of the burger and I ended up using a fork and knife to finish it. The fries might really suit you or you might dislike them depending on who you are (I'm not a huge fan). Service is as good as you'd expect and there for sure are some really unique things in this place such as the truck tailgates on the wall and the converted camper bar, but this doesn't overcome the averageness of the food. For sure, a good and unique burger place, but not an amazing hamburger that I'm going to crave again and again. read more

Twisted Root Burger Co - Arlington you are truly terrific, I had a lovely experience here yesterday. We couldn't believe how cheap this place was. Best burger hands down! Staff were all incredibly kind and patient and did a phenomenal job!

I had the "verde" burger, for take out. Again, if you're looking for a good, high quality, juicy burger, this is the place to go. The green chile was a bit hotter than I expected for Texas, but it would be right at home in Albuquerque. Along with the guac, this burger was one of the best. If I can make one complaint (which keeps me from raising the review to a 5), they denied my request to cut my sandwich. As one who has served many a sandwich to my kid, nephews, nieces, etc., the cut is part of the service. In fact, I have a few sandwich cuts that I consider to be my signature. This could be part of your artwork, if you play it right. But cutting a sandwich in half (or quarters) should be part of what you offer. Don't let this small complaint take away from the overall greatness of this place. Twisted Root is definitely a good 4-star joint. Thanks for very courteous service! Great job. I will return. - Al Pacino read more

First time coming here today after hearing great reviews about this place. The decor is different but very creative I loved the big camper gave it a nice feel :) I ordered the Texan and the watermelon sweet tea, both very good. The burger was juicy and wasn't messy to eat which is always a plus. The sweet tea was good actually tasted like watermelon. Make sure to let them know if you want your burger well done or else it'll be medium rare. For dessert I got the s'mores shake, it looks good but there's something missing, it's not cold as you would expect from a shake. The fries where also very good. The employees where nice and friendly however the cashier was hard to understand as in she would speak very quietly and we couldn't hear what she would ask. read more

My favorite burger joint! I highlyyyyyyy recommend this place. The service is always great and there is so many choices to choose from. I've tried the traditional burger, turkey burger and the salad! You have to try the fried egg on top if you love eggs! It makes the entire burger taste so much better! During high traffic times,it does take a little longer to get food but nothing outrageous! We usually go in big groups and they never mess up our orders and we all usually get our food around the same time! You have to try this place! And their Root beer! read more

We ordered via a delivery app and when the food was delivered everything was cold. We had to warm everything up in the oven. They also forgot several things on the order. The avocado that was on the burger was brown and old! I have eaten at the restaurant and it was great. Shame that they don't treat delivery orders the same way they do when in the restaurant. We wont be ordering from there any longer. read more

Perhaps I have grown to love the deep ellum location a little too much. Having a love for the area I set the expectations bar a little too high coming to the UTA location. The place still had a fun atmosphere yet the food was not as well prepared. Burger was undercooked yet burnt on the side. I think I will stick with my preferred location and try something new when in the Arlington area again. read more

I love me some burgers! I've been here a few times and I have never left this place hungry. I'm usually feeling a bit comatose after leaving here but it's obviously my fault because I ALWAYS get my favorite burger which is the Big Tex. Big Tex combines my three loves.. guac, onion strings and cheddar. The chipotle sauce ties it all together. Now if you're wanting to be extra decadent- ADD BACON. It's super yum. I've gotten the burger with buffalo and beef and honestly - either is fine. I think buffalo is a bit leaner so you can feel better about yourself but you'll also feel a little poorer (upcharge for extra meat) so it's truly your call which route you want to go meat-wise. If you're a fan of pickles, check out their pickle barrel. I like grabbing a bunch eating them like candy. The shakes are legit and they have seasonal flavors so I suggest you going often to taste them all :P read more

Awww, dang! The coveted 5-star rating! I don't usually do this and I don't want you guys to think I'm going soft, but man, I had a great time here. First of all, super nice counter people. Having worked once upon a time at a restaurant that required hollerin' at people so they would come get their food, I particularly appreciated the fun names. Secondly, the fucking root beer/root beer floats? Shut up. So good. And you can just keep on refilling them. I had the cherry vanilla root beer with my vanilla custardy stuff and it was so good, I got angry. The burger itself was awesome. I got the verde and it was this big, greasy, messy heap of super tender, well-seasoned meat and guacamole. They do not skimp on the toppings. If you like your meals clean, then go somewhere else, you sissy. I got the fried green beans as a side and they made me very happy. All crunchy and salty with some of the baddest assest peppercorn ranch ever.... Plus, the chipotle ketchup. That was good too. I can't wait to go back. And get a FRIED EGG on that bitch. read more

If you are ever in the area around UTA, this would totally be a place I'd recommend on going to. The place itself already gives off a good impression. Workers are really cool, and are so friendly! That builds so much character btw! The burgers are a little expensive than what you would usually order from a restaurant but it's worth it! All burgers are cooked medium-well, but you are free to change it, any way you'd like, but I totally recommend just leaving it the way it is because you get so much juice with a burger; it's heaven. The restrooms are a little vague, it's quite too dark to see but not took dark to not be able to do your business. They have quite a giant humor with Chuck Norris.. you'll understand if you go into their restrooms. The only thing I really do find bad about is the wait, it's sadly pretty long especially if you're going to come on a Friday or Saturday night. It's so great and popularized now that so many people come to eat here. All in total it's always such a great experience to be eating there, I'm always coming home happy eating there. read more

So I expected to enjoy myself here, but I didn't expect to get the best customer service ever. I got the black bean burger with beer sauteed onions and swiss cheese - yuuumm. Their variety of pickles were astounding and delicious. The assortment of beers on tap were varied and satisfying. The french fries were seasoned with herbs picked by the gods. When I asked for more tomato, I was offered a full tomato as a joke, but when I said yes, I actually received a full tomato worth of slices. But let's talk about the customer service. We already knew we liked our bartender, A.J. He was friendly and helpful and willing to give us samples of beers. When our friends showed up and asked about the shakes, he gave them the strange sounding bacon shake on the house. All meat eaters at the table agreed it was amazing. Later in the night, he stopped back by the table with a gift card for $25. What?!! Amazing food, free shakes, AND free gift cards??? IS THIS HEAVEN??? I think so. I anticipate many future visits. Also, when me and the hubs started quoting "Stepbrothers," he announced Dale Doback on the PA system. YES. Times a thousand, yes. read more

Twisted Root is one of those eateries that just does not perform well in execution, service, and pricing. The menu is fantastic. Also, I had a great experience at the Roanoke branch. I was so excited to see this quality burger joint smack dab in my Arlington. Disappointed was I. $21 for a terrible experience does not justify being a famous institution. Big German: (aka) The big gross clump. The beef was cooked to a hockey puck, the cheese was rubbery, and the sauerkraut added nothing. Furthermore, the pretzel bun sucked. Bad. Real bad. Thanksgiving Feast: (aka) The Thanksgiving Flop. The turkey was cooked past the hockey puck stage, floating into the point of no return--almost burned to a crisp. The cranberry sauce was boring, and the sweet potato chips were cold. Caramel Apple milkshake boasted "real ingredients", but it was way too "real sweet." Also, at $5, it was pretty dang overpriced. The caramel bits were too sticky, and the shake was just prepared very sloppily. The counter gentleman taking our order was very rude, to boot. On a positive note, the ridiculous decor adds a touch of a novelty. Until you get lost a couple times. Lastly, both men and women's (my mother went in to her respective wash closet, mind you) were out of paper towels. TR sucks. At least the Arling-fun location. Go to Roanoke or Dallas. read more

Okay, heard it opened, so dropped by late that first evening. Never eaten at one before, so was eager to try it out after reading reviews of ones in Dallas. Got a build your own, with bacon and beer sauteed onions, with some fries. One thing I forgot, was to get the whole wheat bun instead of the sesame bun, I really wish they would have asked, and since it was just opened, maybe they should be, but still, that's my fault. Burger was good, but the sauteed onions weren't what I was expecting, I was hoping for a more grilled onion taste, but you don't learn unless you try stuff. Burger overall was pretty good, next time I'll try something different, but wasn't as good as Chop House Burgers in my opinion. For the price, I guess I was expecting more. Also, for the price, I was expecting fresh cut fries, instead they have frozen ones, and if they weren't frozen, they were the worst fresh cut I've ever had. Had some seasoning, but just nothing special. Now, and I didn't figure this into my rating. But the whole, "we're low end bohemian, so we ARE the cool kids" atmosphere is getting old. C'mon folks, if you're working the front, try not to act like you're one emo breakdown away from suicide. You're the new kids on the block, ask your unknowing customers if they have any questions, cause it would have been nice, but no one seemed like they could tear themselves away from their depressed realm to do it. Also, the ORDER NAME TAG THING. One other place I've gone to does it, and it made me wonder who stole it from who. I want to say, in a most indifferent way. that it's not that entertaining. Listening to some one doing a very bad Darth Vader heavy breathing impression as they call out "order for Luke" is a little to smarmy. Now, if you want to make it interesting, and get my respect, let's see some more interesting name tags, like "stomach cancer", "herpes", "Hitler", hell, how about a few serial killers? (I'd throw in a couple of names, but I'd never hear the end of it) You want to be on the "bleeding" edge of this gimmick? I can't wait to hear over the counter speaker, "I have an order ready for A VICIOUS STD", now that folks, would be riding the razors edge. I'd come by more often just to listen to that material. Anyway, overall it looks like a pretty good place, I need to try it out a few more times. With it's central location, it could very well be a place just to hang out and have a few drinks before moving on elsewhere on the weekend nights. I'll be very surprised if I don't end up here more in the future. read more

I just came to this burger place after a match hoping to get a good meal because I've hear such good things about this place, but sadly, I was disappointed. I came thinking I was going to get a super tender wagyu burger, turns out, they over cooked it, super tough meat, but I guess I couldn't expect much...seeing as it was a Texas wagyu burger. The food was mid, the drinks, mid as well, the fries tho, I'll give it a 6/10. The ambience is nice, but the food is mediocre. #SonicIsBetter read more

This isn't a bad gig. It's a neat place with a nice atmosphere and pretty good burgers. At this point I'm kinda done with the system where you get a celebrity name instead of a number, but it's not as irritating as other places that use this method. Good looking restaurant with big garage doors that open up into what could become a nice little spot in downtown Arlington. Port-a-Pot restrooms are amusing. The burgers are pretty good. A little on the expensive side, though. Nice original sauces at each table. I like the Ancho-Ketchup thing. When I've got the extra cash, I like to get a buffalo burger. The buffalo has been nice and juicy all but one time that I was here. Fries are decent and toppings look pretty fresh on their own table. Iced tea is a picture of Ice T and the ice machine has Ice Cube. Ha. My favorite part is the bar. An old Winnebago with taps drilled into the side. Good beer selection and a handful of local taps as well. read more

The bottom bun was soggy I would recommend going too the deep elm location they are always on point with their food
