The Buffalo Chicken Panini w/ a side of Mac n' Cheese was da bomb. First off, the texture of the bread is much different than your traditionally prepared panini. It's rather soft and topped with Parmesean cheese. Strangely delicious! The Mac n' cheese was excellent. Really great flavors all around. For $10, my appetite was satisfied. The special of the day was a Cuban and unfortunately they were sold out. The owner said the pork cooks for 10 hours -- I can't wait to place my paws around that sammie! Very pleased with my first visit.

Well The professor delivered! The chicken tenders portions were huge - each tender was 6" x almost 2"...cooked nicely in a medium thick batter and served piping hot! The kind lady who took my order gave me my tenders box first and asked me to wait for my asparagus still on the grill (only mere minutes and so worth the wait because the asparagus was delish and healthy too). When I opened my tenders box, I discovered fries - glad they were included so I could try a few (a bunch). The fries were perfectly made - not too crispy and just lightly fried like I like 'em (so that you can still sink your teeth into that soft inside potato) and tossed in a flavorful light Cajun spice. The Professor is on my "food truck" repeat visitors list. It's panini time next time!

The truck was in my work area and I had heard people raving over their smoothies especially the latest one: Pineapple mojito with spinach, pineapple, fresh mint, and coconut water. I had to get one. The photos on FB of the grilled chicken club wrap looked so good that I chose that over the turkey and brie sandwich. You can't go wrong with wanting something as simple as grilled chicken, bacon, lettuce, tomato and pesto aioli. The wait was pretty short for everything. Someone after me ordered only a smoothie and got that instantaneously. OMG that smoothie is life!!!!! I shoulda ordered several of those! The pineapple and mint masks the spinach so if you don't like drinking veggies or don't like veggies period, this is for you. The wrap tasted so fresh and so and so undoctored up in every way. This is what fresh food should taste like. It was also very filling as a few hours later I'm still full and very happy. This truck exceeded my expectations and I'm glad I got to try them.

The breading tasted store bought but bland. The fries were good and seasoned well. I don't eat bread but ordered the sandwich as that was my only option for whiting fish (also breaded). But after receiving the sandwich with tarter I was only able to eat the ends of the fish. I miss my old soul food truck from TN so I was willing to change up my eating to enjoy a great fish dish...I was disappointed.

Fairly new to our city's expanding food truck scene, Southern Twang doesn't seem to know exactly what it is. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be traditional Southern cuisine or some type of "fusion", but the food was tasty and that's always a good start. I had the Farm Burger, and it was extremely flavorful. Well seasoned patty, with bacon, pickled onion, goat cheese, and a sweet/spicy pepper jam. The fries were also surprisingly good. I've come to accept that most places just treat fries as an afterthought, but Southern Twang did 'em the right way: hot, crispy and well seasoned without being too salty. Despite the righteous burger/fries they offered up, there is room for improvement. The menu is pretty confusing and seems like it could be condensed or cleaned up somehow (3 pages stapled together). I actually went there to get the beef bowl (which I assume is Asian-inspired) that I saw a pic of on their FB page only to find out that it is a breakfast dish. I'll chalk these missteps up to them just getting starting, and hope that next I visit thay the menu is a bit more cohesive.

I like a balanced portion of each ingredient and the ABC wrap is always perfect portion ratios of bacon, cheese, chicken and avocado with no ingredient over powering another. I love the wrap itself too. Its a garlic herb wrap that I have not been able to find anywhere. It adds such a great flavor. Other wraps we've gotten before are the steak and brie panini which was also delicious. The toast can sometimes come out a little too toasted/dry and can scratch the roof of your mouth but that is common with many toasted sandwiches. Also have had the mozzarella and tomato panini. Very much like a caprese grilled sandwich and was delicious too. All in all, I love this place and look forward to it coming to my neighborhood. We ordered the Munchies Specialty Platter and the Munch-Pleta sandwich. Munchies Specialty Platter knocked it out of the park flavor wise. The pork was phenomenal, however we wished the platter came with a healthier serving. We could have done without the salad and would've gladly paid an extra few bucks for more pork. The rice was delicious, but the real star were the sweet plantains. Yum! The Munch Pleta sandwich was a hit as well. Heavy on the Munchies sauce, it was dripping with deliciousness. While the pork in the platter was minimal, the size of the sandwich was truly huge!! My husband couldn't finish it, however not due to lack of trying! Burger was on a piece of Cuban style bread 6" long had 3 pickle slices on the whole thing. Burger patty was thin horribly salty (and I like a lot of salt) had a single slice of seared lunch meat ham. And had about a table spoon of pulled pork, again salty as can be with 0 other seasoning. We had just gotten home from swimming and grabbed it on the way so I was starving, ate half and gave the rest to my dog. Pretty sure he was disappointed too lol.
