I ended up getting the sampler ($12) which came with a taco and an empanada along with rice. I asked the owner for a suggestion with regard to the meat in the taco and he said that he recommended the pulled pork taco and a beef empanada. So that's what I ordered. I also added a side of plantains ($5). When I opened up the container, it looked pretty simple. My expectations honestly we're not that high. But, when I bit into the taco, I knew I was dealing with something pretty exceptional. The smoke on the pork was fantastic and the cilantro lime sauce added an additional layer of flavor along with the pico. I was definitely impressed. The pork was better than most of the barbecue restaurants around town. The beef empanada was also very good. The meat was well seasoned and very moist. While the plantains were a little dark for me and not as soft as I usually like them, I wasn't disappointed with them. I did find the mix of ketchup and mayo a little odd as a dipping sauce for the plantains. They didn't need it so I didn't use it. The portions here were sizable - the empanada and taco were stuffed with meat. The owners were very friendly as they took my order and the wait time was very short. All of this, in addition to the wonderful flavor of the food made this a five-star truck experience. This was definitely a better option than what I was originally planning to eat!

It had a nice kick so I was sold. I watched him make the hot sauce when I arrived to place my order. So you know everything is fresh! I ordered 6 bone-in wings. The wings were cooked perfectly, crispy outside and juicy inside. And I really loved his spicy hot sauce used to toss the wings. But if you don't like heat don't order the hot wings. I suggest ordering a different wing flavor. I only ordered the hot wings as there were no healthy side options. And if you are in a hurry don't order here as it will take a hot minute. But you know the old saying, good things come to those who wait;)

Catch them when the truck is slow and you'll never meet a nicer host. If the line is long, know they'll get your food done right and not do any half measures. Sit back and enjoy your beverage as they work their magic. Their wing sauces rival the most flavorful varieties in the industry. Their loaded fries are a thing of beauty. Don't miss them if they bring the food close to you!

I tried a shrimp and veggie taco with sweet plantains. OMG the guava sauce and the sweet plantains were so perfect. This truck serves Puerto Rican food with Southern influences. My fried shrimp were also plump and juicy in the taco. My friend loved her pork tacos and I tried one of her tostones which was also delicious! The service was friendly from the woman working the cash register to the young man serving the tacos out of the truck. They had a variety of sandwiches, tacos, sides, and even a chicken tender basket that my friend enjoyed. Her fries were seasoned really well too. 5 stars. I will absolutely keep an eye out for this delicious food truck again in the future!

The vegan canoa was great with jackfruit. For my taste I don't think it needs extra sweetness from the sauces since it is on a sweet plantain already. I would adjust the sweetness of the sauces for the vegan option. The yucca fries are the same as you get in the area. Frozen and about 6 for $4. I would like to see a signature sauce for o go with them since everyone in St A does a coconut sauce which is too sweet. I think a mayo-ketchup would be perfect.
