For my side I upgraded from the house made chips to the Gorgonzola Chips (100% worth it and recommend). The Italian Beef was amazing and loaded with beef. The mun was a little soggy but that's what your going to get with you get a true Chicago style Italian Beef. You want all those delicious juices. Meals are around $10-$11 for a meal unless you upgrade to a premium side. But still pretty well priced. I can't stress it enough get the Gorgonzola Chips they are amazing and some off the best I have ever had. We will return for sure.

The chicken was waaaaayyy too smokey, so much so that it tasted more burnt. I thought the Tzatziki would add a nice flavor to it to help offset some of the smoke, but it had zero flavor. I ended up adding mayo to it...it didn't help. I decided I would just eat the fries but they were way over salted. So I'm thinking it was a just a bad night. I arrived long before the lunch rush, but food turnover was slow and they were already out of a lot of items. They took my burger order (Mushroom Swiss with sweet potato fries) but didn't take payment or ask my name. Thankfully my Mum raised me right and I alerted them to this as soon as I had the chance. They called out burger types and not names when ready, leading to confusion when multiple people were waiting for the same burger. Long after placing my order and making payment, I was then told that they were out of sweet potato fries (which were still up on the board), but they replaced with curly fries and made it right by offering to reimburse me. These gentlemen produce some really, really tasty burgers and curly fries good enough to eat without sauce. However, they need to tweak their internal process a little to make sure they don't miss payments or muddle orders.

However, and this may be just my opinion but, if you're going to call your food truck "The Fried Egg" perhaps eggs should be a part of the make up of most of you menu items. Given the current menu options I think a better name for this truck would be "The Fried Egg is a $1 add-on option." I mentioned to the young lady taking my order that it surprised me that, given the name of the truck, I would have to pay an up charge for an egg. She relayed my sentiments to the cook, who may have been the manager or owner. Nevertheless, I ordered the Classic Smash Burger and did ask for the fried egg add-on. The food was prepared really quickly and the burger looked perfect. However, the young lady informed me that unfortunately they only had 4 eggs left and that they all fell and broke on the floor before my burger was ready. So she handed me a $1 bill as a refund. Obviously disappointed (and skeptical of the story) I accepted the refund and went on my way. The Gumbo man serves many classic NOLA staples from Gumbo, Po Boys, Boudin balls, and much more. The service is always friendly and with a smile or joke. The upside is that the food is absolutely amazing, the downside, because the food is so good, you may have a bit of a wait if the line is long. Best bet is to check his Facebook page for his location and try to make it before everyone else does. Today, I ordered my favorite, a shrimp po boy and also a large pepper jack boudin ball. The po boy is classic, French bread, lettuce, tomato, pickles, mayo, and overly loaded with very fresh shrimp. I always eat a bunch of shrimp off the sandwich before I take a bite because it's that loaded! The boudin ball was a first for me. It was a crunchy outside, and a hot smooth inside packed with flavor and goodness. I will definitely be getting this again. He never disappoints from food, drinks, to deserts The Gumbo Man has you covered. Make sure you go find him. The food is more than worth the wait, if you have to. Overall the flavors were on point and made me forget about my corn nuggets disappointment real quickly. The service was quick but they weren't very personable. They arrived at my office at 11:30 am but within an hour they were already out of the mac and cheese. The price was a tad high but luckily my company paid for 1/2 of it.

TreeMendous BBQ Express serves up a delicious mobile menu of lunch BBQ plates - sandwich, lunch and dinner portions. You can pick from Beef, Pork, Turkey, Robs and Chicken and a slew of sides - baked beans, cole slaw, potato salad, Mac-n-cheese, and French fries. All sandwiches served with 1 side and drink. I chose the Chicken Feast BBQ Sandwich meal with Mac-n-cheese. The pulled chicken BBQ sandwich was very savory and perfectly cooked with a soft sesame seed bun. The Mac-n-cheese was tasty cheesy and definitely not "from the box." A couple things that were evident: food is quality and this is reflected in the meats that are smoked daily and the homemade sides. The indoor seating is very limited; there are only two small tables outside on the sidewalk. After reading all the reviews, I found it odd that, while waiting in line and looking at the plates around us, many people were throwing their fries away. That suggests they aren't good, or everything else was so good that they were full. As I looked around, I felt as though I might have been in this store before, when it was a donut shop; things looked quite familiar. The staff was definitely keeping up with the crowd, as this place was packed. We ordered the Hardpressed and the Patty Melts, a side of loaded French fries, an order of onion rings, and finally, a vanilla shake. The chocolate and strawberry flavors were sold out. It was very loud inside, but luckily, an outside table became available. Shortly after grabbing the outside table, our vanilla shake arrived, and it was surprisingly very good. Well, that got my attention and set the stage for what was to come. Some time passed, and our ordered items began to arrive sporadically. The loaded fries looked good, as did both burgers, but we were still missing the onion rings. My wife overheard the table next to us that the onion rings had recently sold out, so the question was, did we get in on time with our order? We dove into the loaded fries and found that the fries appeared freshly cut but didn't hold up well to the toppings; they were quite soggy, nearly mushy. Flavor was OK, and the jalapenos seemed freshly cut. Minor setback, all is still well. As my wife went in on her patty melt, I saw her expression, and she was quite pleased. Up next was their signature Hard Pressed Burger. I went in and was instantly greeted by the crispy texture of those grilled, smashed bits and the grilled bun, followed by the pickle and the remaining condiments. It was a very good first bite. My wife and I traded burgers, and wow, was that patty melt delightful. That crispy, grilled, flavor-filled rye bread stood out and introduced itself again, followed by the crispy tidbits of smashed beef, and that thousand island dressing brought it all together. Once again, another very good first bite. Our onion rings finally arrived and looked amazing. The crisp on the onion rings reminded me of the same texture seen on the fish & chips at Arthur Treacher's or even Long John Silver's. The reason I rank it a 3 this most recent time we visited, is because the burgers and fries were a lot saltier than usual. They also did not have the grilled cheese option on the order ahead menu today which was a bummer for my younger daughter as that's her go to. We will chalk it up to an off day and will definitely be back. I appreciated that the employee working was friendly and thanked us for coming out and ordering.
