It's either too busy, or the truck isn't at the location when I try to stop by. Just a warning: Parking can be a mess. Ordered the chicken special (quarter chicken w/ baked bean), rib special (2 pieces of ribs with Mac N' Cheese, and green beans), and a turkey leg. Asked for sauce on the side. That set me back about $32. Took about 5-10 minutes to get the order, and paid. The turkey leg was the only thing that I "enjoyed". My wife didn't care for anything. Ribs and Chicken didn't hit the spot. Baked beans had cinnamon in it - I actually like that. Mac N Cheese was a total miss. The green beans had to be canned and the seasoning used was too salty for my taste. In addition - The meat portion was quite limited. King of BBQ is still on Blanding and 103rd, for now (NOT the green pineapple shack). There's also BBQ joints opposite sides of this place on Lane, and unfortunately I would prefer to go to one of those places over this one.

The seasoning used was delicious. Buffalo sauce not too spicy but right amount of kick. The shrimp is also another thing i truly truly recommend. Its not deep fried but cooked to perfect. The seasoning well balanced, almost cajun. When we went the truck was stationed in the parking lot of a liquor store.

We had brisket, pulled pork, two large sides, Texas toast, and four drinks. Then Ernie ordered a side of fries and Arlynn and Noe ordered two large sides(come slaw and Mac n cheese)of BBQ Baked beans. We met at 2pm, after the lunch crowd was gone. I loved the murals all around the building on Roosevelt Blvd(near Edgewood exit). Parking was fine. I went in and told the Waitress I was there a little early. When everyone was there, I went up and ordered. Everyone employee was so nice. The BBQ & sides were delicious. The sweet tea was very good. I added mac and cheese because a good carb plan requires commitment. Plastic utensils seemed like a bad match for oxtails, but these bones surrendered at the slightest nudge. The meat was rich and silky, full of flavor, and entirely too good for a desk lunch. The sides were no afterthought. The mac and cheese was creamy and indulgent, the green beans properly seasoned, the jerk rice fragrant and bold though a few grains resisted the bite, and the cornbread leaned sweet, closer to cake than bread, in a way that felt like dessert was already built in. Everyone was absolutely raving about the flavors of every dish on the menu. The birthday party wouldn't have been as great without them. Food is cooked to order so you do have to wait a few minutes, but boy, oh boy, is it worth it. I took them to go, but just had to peek once I got to the car as they smelled amazing.
