This location is in the POST Houston, so it's very casual. Like eating in a food court where you pick up your food and find a place to sit. The grilled cheeses were good, but paying $6-7 for like 6 fries as a side is ridiculous. My friend was the one who ordered the food and didn't want to complain. Is this the grilled cheese that dreams were made of? Not in the slightest. Is it enough to scratch the grilled cheese itch? 100%. With their tagline as "comfort food with a twist" has become their mantra, they offer a myriad of signature sandwiches that include the 5 cheese classic -- a blend of several premium cheeses and even protein heavy sandwiches, like the Twisted Pig, stacked with ham, bacon, and pepperoni with a hefty side of indulgence. I don't know if it tastes remotely close to the original food truck location, but I think it's a solid start. Other gourmet offerings include their Halal Philly grilled cheesesteak, truffle mushroom, smokehouse brisket, and buffalo chicken. Their cheesecake donut holes are always a hit though the nutella sandwiches are also a big one, along with he funnel cake fries. While I've got a lot of respect for the creative process, I haven't had tried anything that has truly wow'd me. While the sandwiches were decent and pretty to look at, I haven't found one that stands out enough for me to order on a regular basis. While the cheese pulls are fun and the mac and cheese bites are comatose, they're average execution at best. Service hasn't been the most attentive either. They've really got a great concept, nice branding, and clearly enough buzz to warrant multiple locations around the city. I hate to have to do this, but I had a horrible experience at their Washington Ave location a few years ago (that I did not write a review about nor have I ever returned), and Thursday night I gave this new location a chance which had an equally bad experience... So now I feel compelled to say something. My husband and I came to POST HTX for an impromptu date night, unaware that they were having some kind of Cinco De Mayo event outside in the parking lot. Thankfully, we were still able to enter POST HTX but it was pretty dead inside due to the excitement occurring outdoors. Although we had previously had a bad experience at the Washington Ave location, we decided to give this new location a try as grilled cheeses are a good comfort food and we'd both had a long week. When we approached the food stall, the employee on duty was sitting at a table and just side-eyed us as we were reviewing the menu. Eventually, she got up and went behind the counter to take our order. I chose the Spinach & Artichoke sandwich and he went with the 5 Cheese Classic. We got a text that our order was ready so I left our nearby table to go retrieve it. When I returned, I opened up both sandwiches to figure out which was mine and which was my husband's. They both looked exactly the same, which was a problem because I ordered the Spinach & Artichoke. I immediately took the entire tray containing both sandwiches back to the counter so she could fix it. First of all, when I told her that we were missing the Spinach & Artichoke sandwich, she let out a very loud exasperated sigh and rolled her eyes at me. I was stunned. I wasn't being rude, I was asking her to provide me with the sandwich that wanted and which I paid for, which also happened to be slightly more expensive than the sandwich she actually gave me. She rudely turned and walked away, so I set the wrong sandwich on the table and returned to the table with the other sandwich so my husband could begin eating. I went back about 5 or so minutes later and she had a new sandwich for me, but when I got to the table and opened it, there was spinach but no artichokes. What's more, it appeared that she just took the sandwich that I left on the counter, opened it up, reheated it and added spinach. Customer service at BOTH locations was absolutely terrible, and I've only been to each location one time each. That says a lot about the quality of service this chain provides... Which sucks because the food is actually pretty good, despite my sandwich being wrong both times this time. I will not be returning to any location of Twisted Grilled Cheese ever again. Advice to the owners/management: train your employees to treat customers better. Your businesses won't survive if they keep scaring people off with their bad attitudes. read more

The service was good. The atmosphere was clean and open. It was not crowded when we went. I tried the cheesesteak grilled cheese and it was great. I also tried the twisted pig and it was tasty and meaty. Their fries were hot and fresh and taste so good. I am not a fan of their tomato soup because it taste like marinara sauce to me but there were others in my group who loved the soup. Their iced tea is really delicious and has a subtle hint of mint. I would recommend others and I plan to return. read more

I went yesterday and whoever they have working the front is rude af , seems miserable ,appears to hate her job . I went once around 1pm because my boyfriend wanted it and the food looked great on the screen . Stood there for around 10-15 minutes was giving her time to get what she needed settled in (she seemed to be doing random side quest to not take our order )We didn't get acknowledged once (just looked annoyed that we were even standing there in the first place ) so we left and gave the benefit of the doubt that maybe she just needs to set up (we went a little after 1pm not sure when yall open exactly ) . After a couple hours around 6 pm my bf wanted to go back to see if maybe things would be different and if she was ready to take our order . We walked up (it wasn't busy or a line ) I asked her "are yall open" as she was sitting off to the side on her phone she looks up with a attitude and says "yup"and continued to text on her phone for a minute or two (That already threw me off again but still trying to give it a chance) she walks to the computer to take our order as I was trying to place the order she has the rudest tone and mean mug on her face. it made us feel uncomfortable and not welcome and I'd never want to spend my money there nor have her handling or making my food after I see the way she is even taking our order . I actually stopped by because i saw someone with a grilled cheese sandwich that looked amazing, in the dining area at the Post. This preview is based off the customer service and quality of food I received. When I ordered my food at the register I was greeted by a rude, inattentive cashier. When placing my order their attitude towards me was as I was bothering them. They were conversing with someone working in the kitchen window, laughing back and forth. It took the cashier being nodded by the person in the kitchen that I was at the register. Poor attitude, they were literally laughing and smiling and when they spoke with me, I got the blank, " what do want look". My gut said to walk away, because I was telling my self, if the customer service is like this, the food is going to be bad. I gave them my phone so I could the message that my food was ready, and this is where it went south fast, or should I say slow. I waited in the open area to get the messGe that my food was ready, and it never came, I waited over 20 minutes and no message. My daughter said" are you sure you gave them the right number ?" I went back to the restaurant and the same cashier was talking to the person in the kitchen, laughing back and forth. And once again the person in the kitchen gave them the nod that someone was at the register. And guess what my order was sitting at the window. The cashier gave it to me with no hesitation, it was warm at best. The cheese was cold and the bread was warm, the fries were also basically cold, from sitting at the window. When i asked the cashier why didn't I get the message my food was done, he mumbled something about how he must have forgotten to update his screen. The person in the window looked uncomfortable and dipped away from the window. I asked them to tell me the number I gave them, and they asked me for my number again, and then said " oh yeah, i guess I have to update my screen" I ended paying $15 for a cold grilled cheese and fries. Never again will I go back, Horrible customer service. Shame on that cashier, messing with people during the holidays. I made the best of a bad situation and shared that cold sandwich with my kiddo. After this poor young kid working hard for Pennie's pays over $20 for grilled cheese just for it to get knocked to the ground upside down. All of our friend la encouraged him to just go back and ask. If it's a no, it would be okay but this skinny braided head girl was the ultimate rude asking why would she replace food she didn't drop. Never had the chance to try the grilled cheese sandwiches here--and I had been looking forward to it since we grilled cheese is one of my favorite comfort foods. Still shocked how we were treated by the one employee working on a busy Thursday night when the Post food hall was packed with people. Twisted Cheese looked fully open, all lights on, NO signs indicating they were closed. We walked in along with several other people. A single employee was sitting at one of the tables eating, showing zero reaction as a line formed at the counter. Finally one potential customer asked the guy if we could order and the employee very rudely scoffed, saying he would be closed for another 45 MINUTES. No apology, nothing. Really came across as "how dare you bother me." If that is how this location treats potential customers, I don't think they will last long. We will never be back. So disappointing. read more

I am going to go ahead and start my review as 1 star as there is 1 person working in this establishment and we've been waiting g for 30 minutes for food and she keeps taking more orders instead of filling the already long waiting customers.
