I was looking forward to trying my sample pack when it arrived today. However when it arrived every jar had leaked creating a huge mess. I tried calling the phone number on the enclosed material (their site says 24 hour customer service) but it's not answered. Contrary to what the recorded message says, there is also no chat feature on the site. I'm glad I paid for the route protection so I was able to make a claim through them and have received a refund. This all said, had I really read the website and the tone of the information I would never have made this order. When your site has to demand that customers be nice and make demands about how you make a complaint for an issue that's a red flag that you're company is not nice to customers. One or two rude customers is one thing but if you get so many you have to talk about it over and over on your site, you're the problem. Add to that the poor quality reviews I'm now seeing and I'm almost glad that this is all going in the trash. I'm not risking eating a food product that has to be refrigerated (that is shipped without any cooling packs by the way) that was not sealed properly and leaked everywhere. Poor quality control and poor customer service means that you're one chance to make a first impression is a failure. I ordered on January 5th and my order has been in "preshipment" since. I emailed asking what was going on and got a snarky remark back. I emailed again saying to cancel my order and refund. If I do not get my refund, my next step is the BBB. Update: Finally got my order. 2 of the packages were leaking. I had to clean them off. I let them sit in the fridge for a couple hours and just took my first bite. 10/10 would NOT recommend. They taste just like protein bars. They were not appealing in looks as well. read more

I was really looking forward to this. I researched it, I viewed the photos it sounds wonderful. I ordered two 8oz jars....one Salted Caramel & one Double Choc Chip. They took a while to arrive. I followed the instructions exactly, they went into the refrigerator immediately And we did not touch them for 24 hrs. We had a family gathering With adults and children So I opened them both. I noticed immediately That it didn't look like the photos. It was exactly like slime. It poured out of the jars. Children spit it out immediately. Adults grabbed their drinks. It is horrible. Any flavor. It is very bitter. We could not find the toppings they were on the very bottom. The texture was absolutely repulsive And the bitter aftertaste You just couldn't stand to have it in your mouth. I did not read the fine print in their FAQ section. I wish I had. They do not stand behind their product. If you don't like it You are just out your money. And that is what happened to me. We threw them away immediately. Nobody could stand to take another taste. I messaged the company And what did they do? They offered to give me a discount if I wanted to purchase more ! As if! Do not order this product it is disgusting Absolutely gross. I have been on a protein change with my diet to lose weight and have been trying a bunch of new protein foods, so when I found Twisted Dough it looked like the perfect sweet thing to help with my sweet tooth. I ordered the birthday cake as it seemed like the most popular option when checking reviews and really wanted to love this, however it tasted like there was so much sugar alcohol in it that it was affecting the taste to me personally. The sprinkles made it better, however, I couldn't get over the alcohol-y taste of the dough itself. I'd consider trying another flavor but after looking at the ingredients, I'm afraid I might run into the same problem with all their doughs. read more

I really wanted to like Twisted Dough. I spent $51 for the 6-sample pack. Unfortunately Twisted Dough is simply a soft protein bar. The taste is exactly like a melted spoonable protein bar. And unfortunately it tastes like too much protein, it's a hard flavor to describe but it's just too much protein. The Twisted Dough with chocolate chips or sprinkles, was a nice change to the flavor profile, but that strong protein flavor was consistent once the chips or sprinkles were gone. On top of the issues with the taste, Twisted Dough is TOO DANG EXPENSIVE!!! The price must come down. I decided after finishing 2 little jars, that $51 was way too much to spend on spoonable protein bars!!! I really hope Twisted Dough makes some serious changes because I think it's a good idea, it just needs more flavor, less protein and a lower price point. read more

Placed an order after seeing a TikTok that featured one of their products. When my shipment arrived, the jars were wet. It isn't clear on the package if unopened jars require refrigeration. Anyway, my shipment was supposed to include a mini jar of one flavor, and that was missing. When I emailed them about it I was admonished to follow their standard "protocol"! Your previous emails said to reply with any questions or comments. Anyway they refuse to replace the missing item and want me to place a new order so they can include the missing item with that. I can't speak to the business itself, but I just ordered the Double Chocolate Chip Protein Cookie Dough from the website after watching Gordon Ramsay's Food Stars. I was excited to try it. I absolutely love Doughp Ride or Die chocolate chip cookie dough, but it's a rare indulgence. As I'm presently watching what I'm eating, I was so happy to try Twisted Dough, as it is high protein & low sugar. Unfortunately, Doughp it definitely is not. The Twisted Dough Double Chocolate Chip dough has a very off-putting flavor. I thought maybe it would get better after a few bites, but it didn't. I'm used to eating high protein bars, so I'm used to tolerating that high protein flavor, but after several bites, I just couldn't eat any more. It doesn't taste like regular chocolate chip cookie dough at all. If it was a little sweeter it might be more tolerable, but as it is, I'm just going to throw away the rest of the jar. read more

They turned out fantastic other than one because of a texture preference on my end and definitely worth it for the sweet tooth craving. All flavors I ordered in the 6 sample pack were fantastic. I rated them on a scale from 1 to 10 and none of them were below an 8. Two were 8.5 (hazelnut swirl & brookie) and 2 were 9 out of 10 (red velvet & butter crunch). The only one that wasn't really my cup of tea was the watermelon pudding. It wasn't bad by any means just not something I would order again. Shipping was pretty fast. I ordered this product after seeing it on TV. I was excited to try something sweet that was high in protein and not a protein bar. After receiving I couldn't wait to dig in so I opened one and tried it right away. My first thought was how much it tasted like artificial sweetener and it was overpowering the taste of the dough actual dough. I tried the other flavors hoping it was just that one but it was all of them. Tried it with the toppings and it was the same. It tasted like there was Sweet and Low or something in it and I hate that artificial sweetener taste. That is why I don't drink diet soda or anything the says "Zero" on it. I'd bought some flavored water once and as soon as I took a drink it was like a mouthful of artificial sweetener. Why would anyone sell flavored WATER with sweetener in it. Anyway, I tried to eat it over time and could only take about 1/2 teaspoon before I put it away. It upset me that I paid so much for something I couldn't eat. Even my daughter said it tasted like sweetener. It's a shame. I was really pumped to order as soon as I saw it on TV and I was truly let down when. A friend and I went in on buying four jars and splitting them. I really, really wanted to like this dough, but I just couldn't get past the texture. I could deal with the taste in small amounts, but the texture is something else and is nothing like actual dough (protein or not). From what I understand the formula has been changed since we bought our jars and hopefully they've improved the texture but if you're averse to certain textured foods (and artificial sweetener) I would avoid these. I also want to mention that the way they were shipped wasn't good either. None of the jars come sealed (!!!!) so 3 out of the 4 jars leaked, which wasn't pleasant to deal with. With these jars oil separates at the top so you can only imagine how much of a mess it was to clean up. I won't speak for my friend, but I wouldn't recommend buying these. read more

I placed an order for a 5 pack and it arrive warm and wet, despite all product saying right on it that it requires refrigeration. The product is nothing like "dough" or "cookie dough", they will get defensive and say "well it's a protein dough", whatever that means. The texture is that of old glue - very goopey, pastey, stretchy and yet thin. It's texture alone is concerning. The "add ins" become a soggy mess because they are sitting in this gloopey mess. The taste is SO chemical and artificial in nature, again, it is concerning what exactly is used in the ingredients. I tried every flavor and they were all so awful tasting. I also had my family members try them to make sure it wasn't just me, and they all agreed. I contacted customer service asking for a refund, and that I was even willing to ship the product back but otherwise it was going to end up in the trash. Rather than an email back, the customer service rep insisted on calling me. During the call she first asked "Did you stir the product because that can affect the taste"; I told her yes I had. Then she claimed they were just getting ready to launch all new packaging and even product ingredients to "improve the taste and texture" and asked if she could send me new product to try. I agreed, and while the packaging for the new product is cuter, the product still arrived very warm, same awful texture, same terrible taste. When I reached out again to customer service asking again for a refund, I was told "We do not refund based on taste and of course we are not "cookie dough" we are protein cookie dough. We wanted to make sure you had our new formula for sure and we do appreciate you trying it but know our product is not for you." When I stated that this was highly dissapointing and that I have never experienced a company unwilling to refund a product that did not live up to expectations, she stated "We stand by our service and the product arrived how it is supposed to. But as this email was previously sent it now requires a phone call. I am happy to take a phone call and go over things with you but at this time per my protocol a phone call is required." I'm sorry what?? Because an email was sent previously "protocol" requires a phone call?? A phone call for what exactly? And what "protocol" are we following exactly that is never mentioned to the customer? I am quite confused and honestly taken back at this process this company has in place. I had already gone back and forth with them numerous times via email, text and phone calls. This process feels very put in place because this company gets a lot of unhappy customers, I know from doing heavy research already online. My experience is the same as many others as well. Warm product that has the texture of glue, with customer service unwilling to refund the product. A company that cannot stand by their product enough to offer a refund just shows how often this is happening and how little confidence they have in their own product. I am looking forward to continuing to spread and share my review and experience everywhere I can. I am clearly not the first, and this company will not survive functioning like this. Literally the WORST customer service experience, and the most suspicious and confusing experience, I have ever encountered. read more

Initially my first order arrived and we really enjoyed it! like anything else if a product is good, you order it again and refer your friends. Fast forward to our second order we endured inclement weather and our product arrived over a week and some days later hot and melted. The weather delay wasn't the issue and YES we read their FAQs on product detail ... it was the response to our concern about the product once we received it that was a deterrent moving forward with future orders. Again, being a small business owner myself where things can get overwhelming and customers can be hard to deal with I gave the benefit of the doubt placing another order. Here we are AGAIN with one of the products leaking through being hot and melted with no safety seal under the lid. I am not one to write a poor review, but humility and good customer rapport goes a long way with a little integrity to make it right. So, with all of this being said maybe a better approach with your delivery & tone , concerns for your customers ( even if you don't agree) may salvage some business. read more
