A friend of mine hosted an event a few weeks ago. Normally everything is to perfection but this time, while we would never hold it against her, we have to own the fact that the cake from Bliss tasted like something... horrible. We are trying to determine whether the bakery used their dense (fondant) frosting and coated it with another layer of frosting to make it look like a cake specific for the event. My friend called around to various bakeries and knew, because it was only a few days' notice, she might have to bake her own cake. Instead of saying no, this business said sure, and charged her a $20 Rush fee. That didn't seem like a big deal because she understood the fact that it was, indeed, a Rush job. When the party's guest of honor cut the cake, we all thought it was a cheesecake because of the density. It was a horrible tasting "not- cake." It weighed what felt like several pounds which causes me to wonder if they did, indeed, use fondant for the inside or perhaps baked the cake and froze it too quickly. No idea why they felt it was a good representation of their bakery's work but it was not a decent--or sort of decent--cake, especially not one worth $65! What was even more disturbing was when my friend--the party's host-- shared that the response by the bakery was ridiculous! When the host called this morning, the first Monday after the event, she brought up honesty and integrity in her conversation. The staff person told her that the business did not make those ideas their priorities. Whaaaaa? I certainly will never consider buying from there and I have purchased my share of cupcakes from them. Update: after an alleged promise to refund all the money, the owner of the location allegedly still has not allegedly refunded the entire alleged amount. Allegedly. Additionally, to even be considered for a refund, my review needed to come down...allegedly. I reported the issue to Yelp. Unimpressed. Small businesses need to be supported--100%. However, when the reviews don't appear to be current (within a few months old) it causes me to wonder how many others were told to take down their alleged bad reviews so people could get a refund...? Just sayin'...allegedly. Thank you to the owner for telling me of the great quality products made from scratch. Bliss is the best cupcake cafe that I've ever eaten at! The red velvet with cream cheese frosting was so good that I could have eaten another! The staff was very friendly and willing to explain what was in each flavor of cupcake. They have a punch card reward system where if you get so many punches you get a free cupcake! Isn't that cool? I will definitely be trying all of the different flavors they have to offer! read more

I was so hesitant when my husband suggested going here for the cookie dough. I was incredibly surprised when I was allowed to try the cookie dough flavors. I was blown away at how smooth the dough was. I have had another places' and it was gritty and didn't taste good. All of my reservations were lifted as I tried that first flavor. I went with classic cookie dough because it was amazing! Not only was the cookie dough out of this world good but the girl behind the counter was so incredibly sweet with my children and patient as they thought about and changed their minds a few times. As other customers cane in she was just as sweet and helpful. I loved every minute of our visit. It was an incredibly tasty treat to end our day with. read more

I tried to give Bliss the benefit of the doubt. I didn't want to leave a bad review, but after all of this I feel that I need to. We had a horrible experience with a cake we ordered and it ruined my sister's birthday party. - The cake looked horrible. - It looked nothing like the picture of the cake we gave them to model after. - It was smudged, the design was uneven, decorative features were sunken in, and icing was unevenly coated. - It was embarrassing to show the cake to our guests. - We payed $100 for a small, 3 layer cake that could have been purchased at Walmart for $30. They made us aware they do not use fondant, but that did not account for all the other flaws on the cake and failure to copy the design we provided them with. I had to buy supplies last minute and fix the cake myself. After calling the owner to politely explain what had happened, she offered a gift card (we are not interested in doing business with them again - a gift card is useless) instead of a full reimbursement for the embarrassment of the cake that we received. The business of cake decorating is the business of memory making. The memory of something as special as a girl's 18th birthday party was ruined thanks to Bliss, and they were unwilling to account for their errors and reimburse us. If you're reading this, take your money to professional cake decorators who care about customer satisfaction. read more

My husband had to be in Jonesboro, AR. on business for his birthday. I was planning on sending a cookie bouquet but instead decided to Yelp bakeries in Jonesboro. I came across Bliss Bakery and after reading reviews I emailed to inquire if they offer delivery service. My email was responded to immediately. I immediately called and placed my order to be delivered today on his birthday. He couldn't stop talking about all the varieties and how delicious they were. The best place (if only) to get edible cookie dough in Jonesboro. It has eager staff that helps with any questions you may have. My review is only 4 stars as I have only been here once and only tried the cookie dough. Will update in the future when I have the opportunity to try more items. read more

I recently called in for delivery of four cupcakes and 4 cake balls and told them to surprise me. I was surprised alright. The balls were just thrown in a box. Every which way. The cupcakes were mediocre at best. The chocolate one was burnt and stuck the wrapper. I only liked one thing out of all of it and it definitely wasn't a game changer. Will never order from this place again. I don't know how to respond back to the owner's response to my comment. I do know the difference from a brownie and burnt. So whatever this was was so hard you could not even eat it and it was stuck or melded to the wrapper. I used a delivery service but it came to my home very fast. I feel you're shifting blame on them. Once again I'll never get anything from there and would not recommend this place to anybody. Honestly Wal Mart bakery is better. read more

They are awful! They delivered my cupcakes to wrong place and then went and picked them up from the place they were at and then brought them to me. I have no idea if someone tampered with them or spit in them. I am very disgusted and will never eat there again. Beware people, that you might be eating cupcakes that were delivered somewhere and then brought back to the store to be sold to you! read more
