Really liked Twisted Carrot that we opted to come 2 times back to back for an early dinner. Best restaurant we tried in Plattsburgh! Farm to table energy going on, so food tastes very fresh and delicious !! Staff is also friendly and welcoming. Ambience is nice as it has an environmental feel to it. Highlight food was the chocolate crème Brûlée as it's unique and is really good (dark chocolate kind of taste profile). Overall highly recommend stoping by on your next trip!

Very good food place with lots of fresh bold flavors and combinations for items. My suggestion is the Not Your Philly sandwich - SO GOOD. Service was great and the decor of the place was very aesthetic. Unfortunately, this resturaunt is a smaller venue which provided a short wait for us, but ended up giving over patrons a long wait time or eventually ended up chosing other places. We were lucky to get in!

Twisted Carrot's charm is instant and unmistakable. Quaint without pretentious and friendly without fuss. The "Is Your Name Rubin?" is crisp, golden grilled sourdough perfection. The housemade corned beef is robust and flavorful. Perfectly complemented and paired with the tangy remoulade and crunchy slaw. Fries are always fresh. Crispy exterior with a pillowy center. Everyone is friendly and everything is delicious. A small cozy space in a quintessentially charming upstate NY township.

Good service. Potatoes were good, the ribeye was pretty good. Friendly vibes and welcoming

We stopped here last night to try dinner for the first time and WOW! Best chicken and biscuits I've ever had in my life!!! Cheddar soup was delicious too and their cocktails! My husband enjoyed the deviled eggs they were good but again Chicken and biscuits WOW! Service was great and only had a small wait. So good! You should go there TONIGHT!

The Twisted Carrot is a very popular spot and very cozy. Maybe 10 tables and a small bar area so I've always had to wait for a table. We ordered the Mango-Rita mock tail and the Spiced Chai Bees Knees. The spiced chai appealed to me but I did not enjoy the cocktail. We ordered the deviled eggs which were flavored with barbecue and Bleu cheese. I would have preferred plain so make sure you ask how they are prepared. Next we ordered Not your Philly cheese steak which was an open faced sandwich on sourdough bread and we opted to add fries. This was awesome sandwich and the fries were amazing. I would order different appetizer and cocktail and would try them again.

I came back into town for a few days and stopped by to get some food for my trip and noticed they had a cafe serving sammie's and smoothies and had to try one. They were all dedicated GF which was so amazing since I have celiac disease and it's really hard to find good freshly prepared food without risking cross contact & getting sick. I got the avocado toast sandwich and it was AMAZING! Also grabbed a matcha latte & pumpkin pie on my way out which both hit the spot. Hailey the owner (I hope i spelled that correctly) was the sweetest and I had a great conversation with her about nutrition. The co-op itself has so many gluten free, vegan, organic and locally sourced food options to buy in bulk or by the package. I love the environment they create here and the workers are always so friendly and helpful. They also have a section of pre-made food (most of which is vegan) and it all looks freshly made and delightful! The co-op is definitely one of the only places around here that i miss on the daily basis :,) Definitely recommend stopping by!

Nestled in the…read moreeveryday hum of the city, this spot slings food with a level of care and soul that punches way above its weight class. The loaded fries? A decadent, gluttonous, unapologetic mess of everything good in this world. Crispy, golden spuds acting as a stage for a heaping, chaotic mound of tender, spiced gyro meat, drizzled in a symphony of sauces--tangy, creamy, and just the right amount of heat to remind you you're alive. This isn't just bar food or late-night munchies. It's a masterclass in controlled indulgence. Each bite, a reminder that sometimes, the best meals aren't plated with tweezers but piled high with reckless abandon. You eat with your hands, sauce dripping down your wrist, and you don't care--because in this moment, nothing else matters. Gyro Hub doesn't need to be fancy. It just needs to be exactly what it is: damn good.

Flavorful, tender, and not at all dry like gyro meat can sometimes be. The samosas were also very flavorful and just a bit spicy. Was surprised by the decor, in a good way. From the outside, it's a bland store front in a mostly dead strip mall, but inside was bright and welcoming with enough tables for a family or small group. A delightful addition to the Plattsburgh restaurant scene!

We ordered a large salad that came with bread and butter. Very soft fluffy Italian bread. The spaghetti with meat sauce ease was quite a lot of meat sauce. Very generous with meat and sausage meat. One of us ordered a side of meatballs and those were quite large. The chicken parmigiana was tender. And also smoke. Everything was reasonably priced and we all needed a doggy gag. I was excited to try this place with the reviews but was a little apprehensive when we pulled up - small strip mall that has seen better days but we were hungry and figured we would give it a shot. The interior is cute -- but small. Not many tables but thankfully we were on the early side for dinner so only one other table was occupied when we arrived. We quickly decided what we wanted to eat and placed our order. Our salads came out fast and they were very delicious. I am a sucker for black olives so was thrilled to see them on the salad. I noticed that the other table (a couple) were still waiting for their meal and it showed up a short time later. A few more tables were seated and we were still waiting for our meal. It became evident that there was one server and one cook. When our meal showed up, we were not disappointed. The sauce on my chicken parm was savory with just a hint of sweetness. And it had chunks of tomatoes in it - huge plus for this tomato loving gal! I don't know where they got this chicken breast but it was huge! It was very well seasoned and probably one of the best chicken parms I've ever had in my life! For dessert, my hubby decided to get the cannoli dip. I'm bummed that I cannot eat dairy cuz that dessert was massive! My husband barely put a dent in it and took the rest home for a snack later on that evening. We would definitely come back again if we are in the area!
