The best Plattsburgh breakfast this town has to offer. The staff is great and the people are locals. You're going back to a time when the seats are scattered throughout the kitchen and you get really close and know everyone. Great for families and you can't beat the prices. It's a family friendly establishment and I love their daily specials. On Fridays they have great steak and eggs with home fries and on Sundays they have Eggs Benedict! It's a small town, slice of heaven Sesame Street cozy place and it just makes Plattsburgh feel more like home. Love it here! read more

If anyone, for any reason ever finds themselves in Plattsburgh (though I don't know why), you must go to Campus Corner. Food: When I was growing up in Plattsburgh, Campus Corner was a ritual and rite. All of their food is good, great, and while you might occasionally order something different, 9 times out of 10 you'll get what you had the first time you went in it's that good. A recommendation to everyone save the lactose intoleranta, get a chocolate milk. Best I've ever had, and when I was 6, I had a lot. Campus Corner still brings a smile to my face some 20 years later when I think about their chocolate milk. Otherwise let me just say that while they make a good lunch, most of those regulars are there for breakfast, and you should be too! Venue: Jess X nailed it in the description, so I won't even try lest I sound bias, let me point out two things. One, there is a pole that runs through the middle of the restaurant, floor to ceiling, that makes the breakfast bar shaped almost like a B. I used to take the seat right in front of that pole as a child and lean back on it. Don't avoid it, embrace it, it's a great place to sit. And two, make friends. The newspapers are communal, and people will ask to see them when you've put a section down. Talk to them. Not talking will seem more odd, trust me. It's a small places, only sits about 25 or so, but it's a lot of fun, especially the breakfast crowd. Go there twice in a row and they'll remember you, I promise. read more

Very affordable, extremely friendly service - first day I walked in they knew my name, 2nd time I walked in they knew my order - but be warned it's a small hometown gem no booths just a BIG U shaped counter - so if you're heading out for breakfast, brunch or lunch on the weekend be prepared to wait a bit. I love the corned beef hash & sunny side up eggs - she does something magical to that corned beef hash!!! I lived in Plattsburgh for four years of undergrad. Never once had I heard of Campus Corner. I met my boyfriend (and now husband) in Plattsburgh. He is a "local." Never once had I even heard of Campus Corner. My husband's cousin actually works there (she is one of the cute little ladies behind the counter.) Never once had I heard of Campus Corner! Until yesterday. My sister in law (also a Plattsburgh "local") and I were driving around Plattsburgh looking for a place to grab breakfast. As we turned to head downtown, she began directing me where to go. She asked me if I had been to Campus Corner....when I said no she practically fell out of her seat....thankfully she was strapped in with a seatbelt. She was amazed that after all these years I had never been there. The previous reviews are all correct...This place is cuter than cute...totally old school...and serves THE best pancakes I've ever had. No, seriously. So fluffy they soak up all the syrup immediately....I had to reapply syrup more than twice. As I pushed my plate back and patted my belly, I declared I would never eat breakfast anywhere else in Plattsburgh again. Done deal. :) read more

This is a laid-back, hometown greasy spoon. It's a small little place with a wraparound counter and customers all sit on twirly stools. It's the kind of place where some of the waitresses still call you hon and ask if you want a warm up on your coffee. Wood-paneled walls, "regulars" and the whole shebang. My broccoli and cheese omelet was nice and cheesy - great comfort food. I just wish the home fries came with it rather than just toast. A side of home fries was only an extra 80 cents or so though. read more

Greasy spoon breakfast anyone? Campus Corner is artery clogging breakfast deliciousness wrapped up in a cute, if hometown restaurant. They are located near the train station, so in a very picturesque part of town (nowhere near campus ironically), and serve good 'like your momma makes' breakfast items. The interior of Campus Corner is a large U shaped bar, with the kitchen in the center of the eatery. Its a really cool feel to eat this way, and makes you feel like one of the regulars. read more

This place was way better than you'd expect upon first glance. There is NO table or booth seating - counter only, and you can see right into the kitchen, which to be frank I'd rather not. But it's worth it for the food. Their veggie omelet is honestly the best I've ever had. They melt the cheese perfectly so it coats all the vegetables, which are sliced up nice and small so they cook all the way through and get caramelized. Their home fries are nice and browned, and you should definitely get the Texas toast. read more

The food was good and fairly priced. I had the grilled cheese bacon and egg sandwich on a bagel which was very good with tater tots. However I had two complaints. Firstly, the service took forever we waited what felt like forever for our food and then just as long for our check to be split 3 ways. Secondly, they do not take cards only cash or cardinal cash if you are a SUNY Plattsburgh student, so expect to use their ATM in store if you forget to bring cash with you. A staple of the State College at Plattsburgh and the city of Plattsburgh as a whole. Unreal breakfast/lunch at a more than fair price. It's good to see there are restaurant owners out there that still care about the dining experience that they do here. I always leave satisfied and recommend this place to all of my friends (4 people on a good day).
