Ultimately, though, I find "Michigan sauce" underwhelming: it's just a loose, unseasoned ground beef. ("Hot sauce" in Rochester is a lot better.) The normal hot dog wasn't anything special, nor was the coleslaw--the Glazier hot dog did have a nice snap, though.

We got corned beef hash/eggs and home made toast for the Mrs and sausage patty eggs home fries along with side of sausage gravy for me. Get the home bread, it's worth it for 50 cents. Coffee was decent. Asked for extra crispy home fries along with onions and peppers, and it came out hot and crispy. Prices were good, we got a lot of food for our money. This is just the type of real food for local customers place that I love to find and frequent. Support your local small businesses!

They serve all day homestyle breakfast and lunch. The breakfast menu offerings include egg dishes, bennies, omelets, pancakes French toast, Belgian waffles, hash, and breakfast sides. The lunch offerings include sandwich plates, burgers, fish & chips, quesadilla, and big salads. The prices here seem reasonable. I stopped by Rove Cafe just after 1pm when the busy period was slowing down. I walk in and I could sit at anywhere I wanted to. I sat at a table near the counter and the server promptly arrived with a menu and took my drink order (ice water). I was trying to decide between the fish & chips, mixed berries French toast (a popular item) or the country fried steak with 2 eggs. I went with the latter and it was served to me in about 12 minutes. The big plate of food had soft scrambled eggs, grilled country potatoes, a buttery toasted English muffin (Smuckers jams at table), and a Large homemade lightly breaded & pounded thin grilled beefsteak smothered with a thick sausage gravy. This breakfast was so good and very filling. As I was finishing my food, the check was presented which was $14.58 with tax and before tip. Overall, a wonderful big breakfast plate and prompt service. I would definitely recommend if you happening to be passing through the Plattsburgh area.

Service is fast and friendly; 3 servers can take care of all the tables quite nicely, with time for fun conversation as you go. The cocktail list is small, and the drinks are simply garnished, but everything we tried was quite flavorful and reasonably priced. As an appetizer, the Moo Moo Dippers, filled with shaved ribeye and corned beef and combined with the remoulade sauce for dipping. were addicting. My salmon filet came atop a bed of roasted sweet potato and corn hash and a sauce on top to give it more interesting presentation and flavor. The pork medallions were similarly appealing. We passed on dessert, because most of the offerings had some form of caffeine in them (e.g., boozy affogato), but I'm certain they would have been equally delicious. I was surprised the restaurant closed so early on days they're actually open, i.e., 8pm. So if you want convenient dining, get there early for dinner, because it does fill up.

We felt like we would like to break up our drive from Lake George to Montreal, so we stopped here for brunch and would do it again. Evelyne was so welcome and kind. Making sure we always had everything we needed and ensuring we enjoyed our food and drinks. I had a coffee and Croque Monsieur and it was as good as if I was in a small cafe off a side street in Paris.
