Great and efficient service…read more I came by during non-busy hours (around 3:00pm) and parked in front of the driveway. The tire shop is an open area with no doors but the service counter section is closed off by plexiglass so you have to knock on it. The staff member saw me right away so he opened the side door before I got to the plexiglass. I told him I had a nail in the right passenger tire. He pulled off the tire and noticed it right away. I requested that the patch should be patched from the inside rather than outside (these were special instructions from the Sears guy). So the staff let me know it would be 13 bucks to patch. I was like "cool". They have a very small waiting room off to your right; it's very secluded and closed off by door. I guess so the room can retain the heat since it was cold. He fixed the tire literally in ten minutes. And also, it wasn't that busy so maybe that's why he was able to finish so fast. I also tipped as well; the staff was very easy to work with and very nice too. I plan not to have any more tire problems but if I do, I would definitely come back here.

That guy told me to wait a few minutes for inspections guy to arrive. Minutes before 8:30 AM, the mechanic (inspector/owner?) opened the garage door, ignored my running car with my hazards on, perpendicular to the street, angled toward the garage, partly on the sidewalk and walked away to sit on a nearby bench down, smoke and use his phone. After a few minutes, I went back into the garage to ask about getting an inspection. I was told "the guy" was here and "to call." When I called the shop that I was already at, I saw the guy on the bench pick up the phone. He told me I came "too early," despite the fact that they claim to open at 8 AM. He also said that I needed to make an appointment for an inspection, but because I was already here, I could wait 10 minutes and have it done instead of having to go somewhere else.. At 8:39 AM, my registration was scanned to start my inspection. Three minutes later, he opened my car door and didn't say a word to me. I silently got out and out of the way. I said my key was in the cup holder. He didn't respond. Another customer parked next to my car, greeted and man-hugged my mechanic and they stood around started chatting and also looking at his car instead of finishing my inspection first. My inspection finished at 8:58 AM! This was the longest inspection of my life, and this includes when I lived in NJ and waited in the long lines at the DMV for them. I'm sure if I was one of his buddies (he was very chatty and smiley with some guys that came in), my service would have been a 5-star experience. I'll never go back to this place.

OMG. A true series of unfortunate events…read more I have been driving around with my tire indicator shining bright on my dashboard and kept stalling, telling myself I would deal with it later. Bad idea. I just got off the Hugh Tunnel on my way to Jersey for work, heading toward the Lincoln, when I suddenly heard the weirdest noises. Next thing I know, my tire completely busted. Of course, being in the city makes everything harder. Finding a tire shop out here is nothing like Brooklyn, where there are ten shops within five miles. I looked up a place, drove all the way there, only to find out they were closed. At that point, I crossed my fingers and hoped Carlos Tires would still be open and thank God they were. They were quick, professional, and had me back on the road in no time. Truly a lifesaver. If you ever need tire help while you're in the city, I definitely recommend them
