Made a reservation for 6, was waiting until 6:20 when someone was finally ready to take me. The pedicure was reasonably priced, and felt nice until the nail trimming when she seemed to be trying to get something out of my big toe nail, snipping at it for a couple of minutes, leaving a red mark and some pain for the next few days. I'm only writing this to talk about the manicurist named Hanna. I had my appointment scheduled for 9:00 a.m., but she didn't show up until 9:20. On top of that, she was chatting with other people, and I had to remind the staff that my appointment was for nine o'clock -- otherwise, she probably wouldn't have even started with me until 9:30. She finally began at 9:30, and honestly, she was extremely rude and unprofessional. To make things worse, the work she did was terrible. I really don't like speaking badly about anyone, but this was my first time at this salon, and I left feeling very frustrated and upset. The service wasn't cheap -- I paid $60 -- and it was honestly awful. I pointed out several times that one nail was way shorter than the others and needed to be fixed, but she just ignored me. At the end of the appointment, Hanna tried to start a friendly conversation with me, probably hoping for a tip, but I just wanted to get out of there. I didn't tip her at all, which I've never done before, but I made a point of it this time -- she didn't respect my appointment time, and her service was terrible. I'm definitely not going back to that salon, all because of her. Honestly, I have no idea how someone like that even works with the public -- and I truly don't understand how she's a manicurist in the first place. read more

Amazing service. The staff is soooo friendly! Elaine who works up front is so sweet and is very welcoming with my first time being here. Brian was also great and a character. 0/10 worst acrylic nail fill and worst nail salon experience I've ever had. Got cut twice and was bleeding on my toe. I asked for a design ahead of time that they should have been transparent about if they couldn't do it, but they did it anyway, and tried to fix it. Three hours go by, I'm late for my plans, and they look embarrassing. I had two people attempting my nails, there is 0 artistry here. On top of that, it was dirty. My hands were placed on a mat that had previous nail bits, that gave me a full body cringe to have to sit with for those three hours. Paint was left all over my fingers, with a gritty feeling from such a sloppy job. It took him one hour to do two nails...Not sure why there were such high reviews. I've gotten my nails done all throughout San Diego for years this is by far the worst place I've ever been to. This is quite literally the best pedicure I have ever had. I don't know what they used but it's been a month since I went and my nails still look insanely fresh no chipping or anything. Immediately after my skin felt baby soft and so fresh. Genuinely I have not received such a high quality service from anywhere EVER. I gave Twinkle 2 a chance after they opened and this kid barely out of school took nearly 4 hours to do a back-to-back mani-pedi. At my last service I was charged extra for filing down and shaping my nail?! Where's that on their menu of services? I overheard them speaking in a different language something in regards of how I decided against getting an enhancement, so I suspect they made up a charge to get extra money out of me. Ironically after all his "extra work," less than a week later, one of my acrylic nails has popped off and at least two more are loose. The lady who did my pedicure just walked away after fanning my toes with her hand and didn't help me put on my flip flops...didn't even come over to help when she saw me struggling to gently put them on. While on vacation with a friend, we came here for pedicures. The employees were great. Very sweet and had good communication. Unfortunately, they were super busy when we arrived and I was not able to get the manicure I was hoping for. The owner was very nice and offered for me to come back to receive the service, but our schedule was jam-packed and we weren't able to make it back in. My only complaint is I wish they had taken the time to dig out the ingrowns. Shop was very clean and decorated nicely. I would definitely come back here if I was in the area. They do not prioritize appointments...Had an appointment for 2:00 and started at 2:45..10 minutes in my nail tech was asked if she's almost done because there are people waiting. I showed a picture of the nails i wanted and gave detail and said "exactly like the picture" but she rushed so much it was completely wrong. No air flow, very hot and stuffy in there. read more

I forget the woman's name that did my pedicure but she did such a good job making sure my toes are cute for summer. I love my nail set and the service provided. The only thing is I made an appointment at 12:15 and didn't leave until 3:55pm so it was a long time being at the salon. Edit: I just wanted to insert a picture of my nails after getting the acrylics removed. During the process my nails were burning really bad when they were in the lamp. I have a high pain tolerance but I almost had to tell her to stop because it was hurting so much. As you can see my nail is indented with a paper thin piece of nail left. When I was younger I had gone to some really bad nail salons because they were cheap but I have never had my natural nails be this damaged and burn and sting like this. Also in response to me leaving with a smile. Of course I left with smile, I had just spent about 7 hours of my life in this salon and was extremely happy to leave. On top of that I haven't gotten my nails done at a salon in over 2 years and was just trying to enjoy the experience as much as I could although it wasn't good. I still tipped again because I have integrity and chose to see the value in others time, and I was promised a refund so I felt that you the owner were genuinely trying to make things right and also saw the value in all the time I've wasted at my own expense. All I had wanted was a refund and removal especially after the horrible experience I had but you (the owner) had convinced me you could rectify the situation which, you left me waiting an hour for you to get to our appointment and then began saying excuse after excuse why you were late. Couldn't do the nails you promised you could do, then told me we can't do those nails because your acrylics are too short. They were short because the previous nail tech made an oval square shape which then had to be filed down to correct the shape, again not my fault but I still had to pay for someone else's mistake. I had mentioned to you I'd like these removed and to be redone as the base was done horribly. But you want to cut corners and make sure you didn't have to actually give me a refund. Not only this but your dog was barking in the store and you thought it was appropriate to hit him with a nail file to make him stop??? This has been an insane experience and I hope no one else has to go through an experience like this. read more
