She told me to ask Nicole when I got there if she could do my brow wax in addition to my Brazilian so I did and Nicole said no and that she would not have time. She told me to get undressed, I told her I'm fast yet, she took what seemed to be 3-5 mins to come back in. The Brazilian went smoothly, I don't need extra care, and I don't make small talk. I went out to pay and no one was in the lobby waiting. The receptionist bumped my appt from 10:40 to 11:00. Nicole was done and I had paid at 11:03. I sat in my car and handled a few things to see if anyone came in the front doors. Not one client walked in. I left at 11:15. Nicole had PLENTY of time to do my brows. PLENTY. She was just being petty. To top it off, she had the nerve to get offended and drop an attitude on me when I didn't tip here. Was she actually surprised? Unbelievable. There are WAY too many choices for waxing here in San Diego for one of your employees to act like that. As a side note: the woman who answered my call at 10:36 when I was on the road to the store was very kind.

She even offered me a drink, which I thought was a nice touch. Overall, the atmosphere and customer service were pleasant. During my appointment, the lash tech mentioned that my natural lashes were thin and offered to sell me a lash serum. I completely understand that my lashes are thin--that is actually one of the main reasons I get lash extensions in the first place. However, what caught me off guard was when she told me, "Your lashes are very thin, and I don't think I can do lash extensions next time." I have been getting lash extensions for the past 20 years and, in all that time, I have never been told by a lash technician that I would no longer be able to get extensions simply because my natural lashes were thin. I understand that lash health is important and that a technician may have concerns about the condition of someone's natural lashes, but the way this was presented left me feeling discouraged and confused. Perhaps there was a genuine concern about the health of my lashes, and if so, I would have appreciated a more thorough explanation and guidance about what specifically she was seeing and why she felt extensions might not be appropriate going forward. Instead, the comment felt a little surprising, especially after being offered a lash serum because of the thinness of my lashes. Overall, the salon was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and the lash tech was very courteous. I truly wanted this experience to be a great one, which is why I was disappointed that I left feeling uncertain about returning. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, because the salon has many positive qualities--I just think better communication and explanation regarding concerns about a client's natural lashes would make the experience much better.

My experience with Ashley was absolutely exceptional. I called in & told her my main concerns for trying to reduce my acneic scars and she was able to see me that day for a consultation. We discussed various options and planned out a series of treatments. I booked a signature facial during the weekend and came back to get some micro-needling done. Three weeks later, I came in for a chemical peel and she ended up mixing a peel treatment for me (the pumpkin peel was so relaxing and aromatically rich I fell asleep) with the addition of the microdermabrasion facial. Ashley is very pleasant, knowledgeable, and realistic about how to achieve certain results. The only cons I have is parking is very small and limited. Also, there's no website yet and the complete services menu is not posted on IG, so I only found out about the different services and how they can be combined when I talked to her. This review is LONG overdue…read more I had an amazing first time with Miss Kelly mid 2024. Before Miss Kelly's Brazil Appeal Waxing, I had been to several other salons. I had been going to one of these salons for at least 3 years. Her suite is currently located in the plaza across H-Mart and 24 Hour Fitness off of Balboa Ave in a secured building on the second floor. Her suite is cozy for Miss Kelly, her client, and the equipment she needs. I highly recommend Ms. Kelly and her services - both to those who are sensitive to pain, and even the "veterans" who have learned to "tough it out." Before booking, please take the time to read her website. You will notice that her pricing is higher than the regular waxing/sugaring establishments. This is because she takes her time prepping you and doing the wax itself, which is also why your appointment will be longer (this varies, of course). This is why the pain level is much more tolerable, and makes the price worth it. It has been a while since my first appointment with Ms. Kelly, but I have returned several times since. I unfortunately had to pause my appointments with her, but await the day that I can resume my appointments. Ms. Kelly is a gem and I CANNOT recommend her enough!
