By the end of our tasting, it truly felt like we had made a friend for life. We tried both the red and white flights, and while both were enjoyable, the white flight was definitely our favorite. The wines offered unique flavor profiles that made the tasting experience fun and different from other wineries we've visited. One of my favorite parts was hearing the stories behind each wine. It added so much character and made every pour feel more meaningful. We also appreciated receiving a map of Livermore's wine country, it was such a thoughtful touch and made us excited to explore even more. With great wines, incredible hospitality, and fun events throughout the year, we'll absolutely be back. Thanks again, Rich, for making our visit so special!

As you drive into the winery you see many wineries and you feel as if you are driving in Napa or Sonoma. We were so happy with our wine tasting host that we signed up as a member. We will come back doing a double date and to bring my in laws in December. If you sign up the membership essentially pays for itself after 2 visits. There is decent parking. Just remember to bring your own snacks or food. On packed weekends they may run low on food. The wine is pretty amazing. We now have 3 bottles of wine to enjoy. Although the experience matches that of Napa the pricing is much more reasonable!

He had the tacos and I had the salad with tri tip. Both tasted great. I recommend that you order a starter if you are hungry. The portions are adequate but may need a little enhancement. Tri tip was diced and hard to find. Our neighbor had the chicken salad and the meat was hard to see. But it all tasted great! I just wanted more. Make sure you ask for dessert well before the kitchen closes at 8. Servers were very nice but hard to flag down when all the seats are full. Luckily they didn't get upset when I would walk to the back to ask for things. Cheerful and fun folks!

We made a reservation to…read morewine taste at this winery and when we got to the winery, were told we missed the window for wine tasting and could only order by the glass or bottle. Was a little bit of bummer bc we saw everyone else who was seated outside still very much enjoying their tastings. Also I don't know if the hostess who greeted us was new or if she actually wasn't even a worker bc she looked very young. But she handed us menus and told us to "pick a table outside". So we started walking thru what looked like a kitchen/clean up area and workers immediately told us we had entered a room we shouldn't have. Kind of weird and kind of frustrating that the hostess or whoever greeted us didn't tell us anything after handing us menus. I will say the gentleman who did help us was 5 stars. I ordered a glass of sparkling rose and while he gave me the last pour of an old bottle (completely flat), he acknowledged it was the last pour of the old bottle and opened a new bottle in front of us- that sparkling rose was crisp and fresh and light. Also- another thing to note- this winery doesn't allow outside food. Their menu is a lot more extensive (and expensive) than other wineries. Not a huge deal for us as this was our second stop and the other two allowed food so we brought and ate our picnic there!

From the very beginning, Diane went above and beyond to help me plan this special day. She answered my many questions, worked through every accommodation with me, and made the entire booking process seamless. Her kindness, patience, and genuine enthusiasm made me feel like she was just as invested in the celebration as I was. By the end of the planning process, I had unofficially promoted her to honorary bridesmaid status. When we arrived, Valeria and Kayla were fantastic. They immediately jumped into "surprise mode," graciously playing along by checking us in at the host stand and escorting us to our table without giving anything away. Their teamwork helped keep the bride-to-be completely unsuspecting until she walked into a room full of family and friends. Valeria also accommodated my request to play a millennial throwback playlist, and every hit had us singing along--it was the perfect soundtrack for the afternoon. Our server, Skylar, was equally wonderful. She made excellent wine recommendations, was attentive without ever making us feel rushed, and truly made us feel at home. Even after our reserved time had ended, she warmly invited us to stay and continue enjoying ourselves. What was supposed to be a two-hour brunch turned into nearly four hours of laughter, wine, and celebrating, and we never once felt like we were inconveniencing anyone. The beautiful winery, delicious brunch, excellent wine, and stunning atmosphere were everything I had hoped for. But what truly made this experience exceptional was the people. Diane, Valeria, Kayla, Skylar, and the entire Murrieta's Well team created an experience that felt warm, personal, and genuinely special. Planning a surprise from start to finish can be stressful, but thanks to this incredible team, all I had to do was enjoy watching my best friend's reaction. Thank you for helping create memories we'll cherish for a lifetime. We can't wait to come back!

We got to try their sparkling wine, their Grenache, and the cab. I ended up sticking to the cab the entire day. We love how the garage door opens up to the outdoor, so both indoor/outdoor seating were available. The staff were also super friendly and welcoming. I loved how they provided a little tasting during the event as well. At the end we helped clean up the venue and the staff also helped as well. This seemed like a super chill and fun ambiance to host any event, while also letting the guests enjoy a bit of wine from the bay. I may have to book this spot for my future events!

Ya girl has been missing out BIG time. It took me waaay too long to get here, but I finally made it. And, what a gem this place is! I do most of my wine tasting in wine country these days. While I enjoy wine country, I've realized that it has made me neglect all of the wonderful local tasting rooms that I have right here at home. Plus, I'm getting older now and the long drives are getting harder for me to make (and more expensive with these ridiculous gas prices). My goal going forward is to start visiting more local tasting rooms and wineries. Visiting Cote West was the perfect way to start this new journey for me. Came here with a friend last year for a tasting after having brunch and we had an absolute blast! Cote West is located in a small warehouse district in the East Oakland area. It's very unassuming, but you'll notice their adorable front patio area as soon as you pull into the parking lot. They really have it set up so nicely! They've got large barrels to taste on with high chairs and large umbrellas to keep you shaded during those warm and sunny days. Their indoor tasting room is cozy but modern and chic with bright and colorful décor. They even have a large barrel room in the back where they host both private events and public parties! It's really a beautiful space. Jill and Pablo were our hosts and they were super friendly and inviting! We both decided to do a tasting but you can also purchase wine by the glass and light bites here as well. A tasting is $20 for 5 wine pours from their current tasting menu (tasting fee is only waived for members). The pours are very generous and they have a pretty diverse wine list. Also to note; they are the only tasting room in the city that produces their own wine on site! So, not only is their barrel room used for events, but it's actually 100% functional. Walk-ins are welcome but you can also make reservations (especially during their busier seasons). As I mentioned before, they have a very diverse wine list that features some very unique and less common wines. In fact, this was the first time that I ever tried Pet Nat (Petillant Naturel) and Orange Wine. Pet Nat is a sparkling wine that has allowed to ferment and finish in the bottle. I'd honestly have to say that this was my absolute favorite wine to taste here. It was so light, tropical, and effervescent. The perfect sipping wine for a warm day. Also really enjoyed their super floral and earthy Pinot Noir. It was definitely a Pinot by total definition and it had all of the wonderful elements that I love in a Pinot. Wasn't the hugest fan of the orange wine, but it was fun to try it for the first time. Jill did an excellent job of explaining the history of the tasting room and the wines. We also enjoyed hearing about the wines from Pablo, but we did feel a bit rushed by his during our tasting. To be fair, we did come about and hour before closing, and he didn't rush us after we paid and lingered for a little while afterward. For the most part, their wines are decently priced but I did feel that their red wines were a bit high. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed most of them and we had a great experience here. Would absolutely recommend to anyone who is looking to wine taste locally.

I had the 2024 Fume Blanc from Lucky 8 Vineyard it was light and slightly sweet, next the 2024 Merlot from Thatcher Bay on Telsa Road in Livermore. This varietal was a barrel sample hints of berries, tannic, and spicy. The 2019 Merlot same vineyard was smooth and not tannic like the barrel sample. Next up the Cabernet Sauvignon 2024 barrel taste was smooth and I noticed it was a smoother texture than the Merlot barrel taste. Finally, the 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon, also from Thatcher Bay Vineyard was smooth, fruit forward, with a spicy kick.
