If I could give zero stars, you know I would. This is the rudest post office I've ever been to…read more Quite literally these women have not one F to give, and are treating customers like they hate them. Manuela helps us. She asked us to prounce out last name. My husband does. She laughs , and says, "That's too long." This is not a comment that is acceptable in any setting, but abhorrent when it's said in front of a child who has the same last name. It represents our family, our culture, our heritage. If you are trying to provide culturally competent care, (which any agency that represents the government should be trying to provide), this is not the comment you make. My husband simply responds, "It's not too long." She looks visibly upset, and proceeds to be rude and abrasive in her tone and dismissive hand-waving for the duration of the appointment. All of this with our child present who is confused as to why this lady is "being mean." Read their reviews. This is not an isolated incident. It's what they're known for. Disgraceful experience. Never going back.

After 2 weeks I started calling daily and got all sorts of excuses. Neighbor finally found a key to the mailbox, so I called and cancelled the order. (Didn't expect $$ back, of course.) Three weeks later got a call that the lock was changed and come pick up my keys. Picked them up and guess what? Of course, THEY DON'T WORK!! And of course now they're saying it will be several weeks again. And let's not talk about the lines. Everyone who works there is very nice. Just ineffective.

The people that work there are very nice and attentive, especially the postmaster at this branch. However, at least once a week and sometimes more, I get someone else's mail. It's usually for the house after mine. No idea why this keeps happening. I see them reaching into a tray and grabbing what appears to be a pre-bundled pack of mail and putting in my box. When I go through it, yup, my neighbor's mail mixed with mine. I used to deliver it to them myself but started putting it back in my box with the flag up. Sometimes I leave a note ("Wrong house") and sometimes I just put it back in my box and the next day's carrier hopefully understands why. But even that doesn't work. Next day, wrong mail, again! Of course it makes me wonder who is getting my mail.

This post office needs to be investigated. My mother regularly sends out holiday and birthday cards…read moreto kids and grandkids from the Olney Post Office and countless numbers of envelopes have arrived at their destination after having been opened and cash removed. These cards are being mailed to addresses in MD, VA, SC, NC, FL, and AZ, and the same thing has happened...all with one common denominator. They were mailed from the Olney Post office. Yes, I know, I know...you are not supposed to send cash in the mail. But that does not excuse the absolute disgusting behavior of the thieves or the felony that is being committed by clearly someone who works for the United States Postal Service. It cannot be a coincidence that it has happened over and over again with all mailings initiated at this post office. Despicable.
