This location is probably one of the better Post Office's in the area though. It's about a 5 - 10 minute drive from Layhill Shopping Center and there's a private lot with plenty of empty spaces. I just personally don't appreciate all the pot-holes in the parking area and the employees can be a bit rude here to their customers. Other than that, they get the job done. If customer service was better, they could probably earn a 5-star review in the future.

Today I stopped by twice, once for a money order and then once more for a box. I was able to experience two different types of service. When I first walked in the door a friendly employee waved me over. I had a lot of cash that I needed to trade in for a money order. I had counted the money several times but obviously the employee needed to double check. The employee struggled with counting a large amount of different bills. It took about 15 minutes due to starting over a couple of times. I ended up having to get two money orders since there's a dollar limit and in total it cost me $3- not too bad. The employee thanked me for coming and I was on my way. I actually prefer this post office over the one on Rollins. It's bigger and offers more supplies. The lines typically don't have more than three people at a time as well. About an hour later I stopped back in to purchase a box for an upcoming package. This time I had to wait in line. It was a long wait considering only one person was in front of me. One counter was closed but an employee was present. Another counter had an employee who wasn't calling customers over and finally a counter with the same woman who helped me previously. Eventually another employee called me over and assisted me with my purchase he was friendly and answered the questions I had about shipping and I was again on my way. I would recommend stopping in if you need to mail anything.

She is sort of like a mixture the soup nazi and steven wright. It's so hard to describe. But I suspect if you don't do things exactly like she wants, or if you ask a disallowed question, she places your packages and letters into the trash. I wish I was joking. But, I'm not. And it isn't just her. There are others. There's one nice asian lady but I haven't seen her in ages. Most likely, they kicked her out for being nice. She couldn't scan one of my return items so she had to try harder til she got it. It seems everybody there is nice but everytime i go there she always exhibit good manners and show good work ethics.. I just drop them with the clerk and I am certain of two things: He/She will scan it and it will be on the noon truck to processing center. If a customer says my first class package must be here in Glendale, Arizona on Friday then I use this post office to ship it Monday morning out by noon truck to processing center it is at customer on Thursday afternoon. I am very grateful to the postmaster and the clerks that run this post office. They provide exemplary community service.

About a week ago, I wasn't home when a package needed my signature so I had to come in and sign for it. There were three employees working and only two people in the line, yet it moved soooo slow. I don't get it. I literally stood in the line for 20 minutes and then had to wait at least another 10 minutes for them to locate the package. I can't! If you ever have to go here, pack your patience and don't be in a hurry to get anywhere after because you will be waiting awhile. The worst possible experience every time we have problems with our mail delivery. We live about a…read morequarter mile from this office and receive other people's mail at least three days a week and god knows how much of our mail has never been delivered for the same reason. When you complain, everyone shrugs and apologizes and says "it's a contracted route." They literally do zero to be helpful when we've had hundreds of dollars of merchandise delivered to the wrong house, delivered damaged, or not delivered at all. Whether it's a USPS employee or a contractor, someone has to be able to do something when our mail is so consistently mishandled but they don't even pretend to try.
