This post office branch needs to be CLOSED IMMEDIATELY. I have to agree with everyones one star review posted on this website regarding the colesville office. The post master needs to be FIRED. I am sure everyone that rated them one star would give them no star if the system would allow.

About a week ago, I wasn't home when a package needed my signature so I had to come in and sign for it. There were three employees working and only two people in the line, yet it moved soooo slow. I don't get it. I literally stood in the line for 20 minutes and then had to wait at least another 10 minutes for them to locate the package. I can't! If you ever have to go here, pack your patience and don't be in a hurry to get anywhere after because you will be waiting awhile. Oh well...Hopefully I don't need to come back here for anything anytime soon.

But what if, instead of those pleas echoing from the vocal chords of an island castaway, they were delivered matter-of-factly from one of the many soon-to-be-satisfied patrons of the U.S. Post Office located at 10901 Rhode Island Ave. in Beltsville, Maryland? First, we would lose all manner of suspense in the lyrics credited to Sting; and, second, the narrator's devastating visual discovery of "a hundred billion bottles washed up on the shore," signifying that he's "not alone in being alone," would never have happened, because the bottle, carefully sent via USPS, would have reached its intended destination within the relayed projected time.

I spoke with a staff member who was Asian, I'm sorry I didn't get his name but he was so helpful in answering my questions and explaining the process. I was impressed and appreciative. I went back today with my documents and a young lady named Shawnte assisted me. OMG, she was so pleasant and helpful, she patiently took care of my documents and gave clear instructions, at the same time assisted other customers just as efficiently and friendly as she did me. It is refreshing to receive this type of service AGAIN! I have gone to several USPS locations in Rockville, Bethesda, Kensington, College Park and now Beltsville. I have to say the service and tone of this Beltsville location is superior than the others. I say it's refreshing because in today's world the type of service we receive is horrible. It's absolutely horrible to call any business for assistance and receive appropriate service. We're lucky to get a person on the phone and one who can actually resolve the issue. Thank You Beltsville USPS!! You're doing something right !!

When you complain, everyone shrugs and apologizes and says "it's a contracted route." They do not accept credit card as payment, but like I said it clearly states that on website, and reminder appointment email. The also take passport photos here, BUT go to Costco and save money!
