Came here on 3/2 at approximately 1930 to get my self some food after a long day at work, got seated by an in training individual who had to be told everything two to three times before it registered, stopped to go use the restroom, came back to the table for someone to almost walk up, didn't say boo, eff you, can I get you something to drink, nothing. Almost like I didn't exist in this place yet I saw three servers standing around the podium jawing with each other and not doing a darned thing. So I up and walked out, honestly could get better service from Doordash, and that's saying something. This restaurant used to be peek for great service and great food but I guess when people only show up for the eye candy, no one cares how they perform at their actual job. Oh well, perhaps some retraining for the in training can be done to make your guests experience that much better. read more

I came here Saturday night with a group of friends and family to watch the fight, and we had one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. Our group was respectful the entire night -- not loud, not belligerent -- and included two people who weren't drinking at all. Yet somehow, we were treated like a problem from the moment we sat down. Our waitress gave terrible service, barely checked on us, and eventually cut off our whole table from being served, without any explanation. When we tried to ask what was going on, she acted like we had mistreated her, which couldn't be further from the truth. We weren't rude -- just confused. But the most humiliating part? When we left, a group of the waitresses and hostesses stood near the door clapping as we walked out. It was clearly meant to embarrass us, and it worked. The entire restaurant turned to look, and we were stunned and honestly just hurt. We've enjoyed Twin Peaks in the past, but this experience was uncalled for and completely unprofessional. We will not be coming back to the San Marcos location. read more

I was in the San Marcos area as part of my Texas vacation and popped into Twin Peaks. It was quite convenient because I had a reservation at the Comfort Suites right up the street. I arrived around 8;30pm. The main dining room was slower but the bar was quite full. That looked like where most of the action was. I found a good seat right by the service well and ended up sitting by one of this location's beloved regulars. I was greatly by the beautiful Nathalie whom could not have been sweeter with her warm smile and Southern charm. I was well taken care of and Nathalie and Alma both provided me with excellent service, recommendations and conversation. Nathalie was a pro asking me if I had a beer preference straight off. I opted for sweet tea. I ordered the Italian Flatbread cus it looked so damn good on my last Peaks visited. I'd definitely come back if I was to be in the area and ask for these sweet ladies. I have never experienced such blatant disrespect in any restaurant before. I came in with a party of 3 to meet others, and while 3 members of our group were a bit rowdy, at no point did anyone speak rudely or inappropriately to the staff. Despite that, our server apparently went to the back claiming she was being recorded--outright bullshit. 3 of us arrived and left together and never once acted in a disrespectful manner. What happened next was absolutely unacceptable: as we were leaving, multiple servers stood at the entrance and clapped sarcastically at us. That level of unprofessionalism and mockery is beyond anything I've ever encountered. This was my first visit to your restaurant and will absolutely be my last. I hope management seriously addresses the behavior of their staff. No customer--rowdy or not--deserves to be treated with open hostility and fabricated accusations. read more

Went in for dinner today 6/28 and the two ladies employees.. at the front offering $5 beer were soooo rude to my husband and myself.. they proceeded to roll their eyes when we asked how we needed to pay for the drinks .. let it be known there was an atm next to them so they could have said hey there is atm here .. I SAW IT AND SAID OH OK ILL GET CASH OUT cause one of the beers was already opened .. she proceeded to roll their eyes at us. Okay whatever ... her coworker comes up and they bother start taking about us and NOT IN A GOOD WAY. I asked for the manager and he just sat and listened I give him that much but was not APOLOGETIC at all ! Horrible service will NOT BE GOING BACK! My first time at Twin Peaks, review might be a little biased because I'd just gone to Hooters a couple nights before. I was initially skeptical of coming out given the subpar experience at Hooters, but we had a coupon for a free appetizer with purchase of an entree and after telling the guy working at Tiff's Treats how I was terribly disappointed with my Hooters experience he recommended that I give Twin Peaks a try. There isn't anything like Hooters or Twin Peaks where I'm from, so upon entering it felt like I walked into another universe. After getting seated, our waitress Alessandra was very friendly and attentive. My boyfriend felt a little uncomfortable given the way that the ladies were dressed, and I was surprised myself, but I found it to be the good kind of something different. We got the bacon and cheddar loaded fries and the smoked chicken street tacos. Definitely would recommend the bacon and cheddar loaded fries, they were really delicious. The chicken street tacos were "good." Even if women dressed in barely clothes is not really your vibe, I recommend coming out at least once for the experience. At the very least, the food won't leave you with a brick in your stomach. read more

I visited the restaurant today and when I requested my tab, I showed the bartender my military ID and requested the advertised Military 20% OFF food, she returned to me and said the manager would not allow it because the meal was already a "special". There is no disclaimer on their brochure that says 20% OFF only on certain items. Either reprint your brochure and indicate what is not going to be discounted or honor your ad. This is clearly FALSE ADVERTISING! The food, service and ambiance were fine. read more

I went to twin peaks for the first time ever and it happened to be in San Marcos a week and a half ago, I thought the host was super sweet! There was a small wait time but it felt like nothing. While looking for a restaurant that served a variety of good beers for us to take her brother to while visiting over Thanksgiving, one of my neighbors told my wife to check out the recently opened Twin Peaks. Having lived in Colorado, she was intrigued and looked at their menu. Fast forward a few weeks and we were looking for lunch options so off we went to Twin Peaks on a cold and windy day. As we walked in, we were greeted by friendly, cheerful and scantily clad young ladies with nothing but Daisy Dukes shorts and tight fitting crop shirts (had to look that one up) on. I had to go outside to look at their marquee just to make sure we didn't walk into a Hooters by mistake. The place was quite spacious with TV screens all over. Even had smaller TVs by booths! In looking at the menu, their offerings were more than just bar food...more than just burgers and wings. I ordered the Spicy Chipotle Chicken which came with steamed broccoli and garlic mashed potatoes. My wife ordered the half sandwich (Turkey avocado smash) and soup which came with sweet potato fries. We both thought our meals were yummy although my wife thought her soup could've been hotter/warmer. She thought her sandwich was flavorful but, being borderline OCD, she didn't like how the two pieces of bread didn't "line up"...as in the crusty tops of the slices of bread should be aligned on each side of the meats and not the bottom piece of a slice of bread aligned with the top piece. I know...what a travesty! In any case, we liked the food and the service. Our server, Kendale, was friendly and attentive, maybe even overly attentive (we were her only table until more patrons arrived). If asked to describe Twin Peaks, I would say it's like a Casual Dining Hooters with much better food. read more

Two stars for the COLD beer however my husband and brother said that it was great up until staff change, most the staff members after 5pm shift were all on their phones and my brother had to try to get their attention to get served another Beer. management might want to look at who is working on those shifts to nip this in the bud.. We came in around 730p on a Thursday evening. Not too busy and were seated in a timely manner. Our server, Adri, was sweet as peach pie. Attentative. A solid waitress. I have 2 kids and ordered Mac n cheese for them. I didn't see a kids menu online so I just asked for a couple sides of it. She suggested the kids serving that comes with fries. YES! Awesome. Two of those please. I ordered a turkey avocado smash sandwich with sweet potato fries and the hubs ordered some pulled pork smothered fries. The kids Mac n cheese came out and wasn't overly spicy by any means, but for a kids order it was entirely too spicy. You could see little red chili powder flakes in the sauce. I had to send it back as neither of the kids could eat it. Disappointed that a childs menu item was suggested to us and then served like this. We asked them to bring out chicken tenders instead. The tenders were great, not overdone at all. Very delicious. My 'turkey' sandwich came out with almost no meat on it. The sweet potato fries were so over fried they weren't edible. They crumbled as you touched them, suuuuuuuper crispy if you will. I felt like a jerk sending so much back but they truly were inedible and the sandwich was just bread and lettuce. She later told me they are actually using chicken now, instead of turkey, and maybe that was the issue. I don't think she really heard when we told/showed her the issue (sandwich). When we got the check there were 4 kids meals on it along with my meal and everything else we ordered. Had to ask her to please take off both of the Mac n cheese kids meals and my 'sandwich.' The food issue wasn't awesome, and a couple bad items here and there are understood. Expected even, to an extent and occasionally. Our biggest disappointment was that, at no point during our meal did any member of management come and talk to us. We sent 3 out of 4 meals back. 75% or our food order. I am a U.S. Veteran whose birthday was today & wanted to celebrate at this restaurant. They showed horrible service & did not acknowledge us in no sort of way. Service was slow. Was there on an NFL Sunday and the audio was depressing music instead of any game audio! I was so depressed, I went to 54th Street next door and that had an NFL game audio on. I didn't care what game audio was on, just anything but that depressing music!! So much happier at the neighboring resturant. Normally I do not like these types of restaurants. The ones where they use sex to sell sub par food. But to my surprise the food wasn't bad and I, dare I say, would venture back. They pride their selves as have the "coldest beer" which I thought was just a gimmick but when I received my shiner IT ACTUALLY had little shiner ice cubes in it. What a treat. Now. I think you have to be a little smart with the food you order here. While my girlfriend went with the salmon, which tasted as good as you would think it would taste. Horrible. Tasting as if it was a few days old, the taste of frozen salmon was just to overwhelming. Now, if there was some kind of maple glaze on it to cover the stale taste maybe it would have tasted better. Aimee Lyn was our awesome waitress and took our order perfectly, in her perfect outfit of course! We ordered fish and chips and pot roast (see image). Perfectly cooked! We waited to get a table forever because the hostess put down 10 people instead of seven which the manager said that was gonna take a long time when he looked at our reservation, and if he knew it was only for seven people we could've been set along time ago We then waited over an hour to get our food. I ordered the pulled pork nachos which had been sitting under a heat lamp and was totally dried out. Two people ordered burgers and they were the size of a kiddie burger from McDonald's. One of which had a very long hair with the route attached to it. Nothing that we ordered was hot. Everything was lukewarm. The manager never came over and talked to the person who had the hair in their food, granted she didn't have to pay for it, and we were never asked how the food was because I would've sent the nachos back then that you could barely eat them because the meat was completely dried out. I do understand that they were busy, but they could've maybe came out and asked to bring the food out as it was ready which would've been fine with us cause maybe then we would've had some decent food to eat. For the price that we paid, we should've gotten better food and service. Majority of the tables are high tops so when you're sitting there for two hours, you can't feel your legs by time you're done. Never been at a place where the entire room complained... 8-10 open tables with over an hour wait due to not enough servers! But there were 7 ladies 3 bartenders with a PPV EVENT being shown! Unable to charge the cover fee due to the issues stated before! So the food prep major refused to allow the sound of the fight!
