I had my first experience with Twigzz this morning but it definitely won't be my last! I was helped by Dean Zamani who completely exceeded my expectations and went above and beyond for me. First off, he was able to accommodate a same day delivery and had the flowers delivered within a couple hours. Secondly, he took the time to ask me about the recipient of the flowers to create a personalized arrangement (which he nailed BTW)! Thirdly, he was very communicative throughout the entire process by sending me photos of the completed arrangement and texting me when they were delivered. Overall, Dean was so nice and accommodating and really delivered on creating a beautiful, exotic, and special arrangement for my special person. I was surprised to find a florist who answered the phone at 6:30 a.m. I woke up that morning with the idea of sending a bouquet of flowers to my friend who had told me she was depressed. COVID is wearing us all out. I told the Twigzz florist that my friend loved beauty and walked at the Huntington Gardens every day. We have had four interactions with Twigzz over the past year or so, and the first two involved our sending simple orchids which worked out fine. This review, however, is based on two recent transactions one each sending and receiving. Based on the orchid purchases and the fact that we were dining nearby, we walked in to Twigzz and ordered a moderately expensive arrangement to be delivered by a colleague florist (we were assured they had one) in Seattle for a relative's Milestone birthday. The "thank you" text we received included a photo of what appeared to be a small and hastily created arrangement ordered online for about $40....far below the $150 (plus delivery, etc) that we spent. One or both of the florists gouged us on that deal big time and we vowed to never use Twigzz again. Then, just last Friday, an arrangement sent by our out-of-state business partner was delivered by Twigzz. Though it looked nice, it consisted of seven common flowers and mostly greens and was sloppily arranged with a heavy reliance on clear tape to hold the material in place which, apparently, was to be leaning to one side of the vase. Because the sender defaults to the more expensive, we knew he overpaid but refocused on the nature of his kind gesture. However, within two days the flowers began to quickly decline. Although kept in an air conditioned home with the water in the vase monitored, by Monday morning, the hydrangeas had wilted and the roses browned. We sent an email with pictures to Twigzz, but after no response at all we then contacted our partner's assistant who ordered the flowers and she did same. She has contacted her credit card company and filed a dispute. Four days later, we have received no response or other communication from Twigzz. Yes, arrangements can go wrong, but the reputable florists will always replace or resolve the matter promptly. In this case, Twigzz did not. read more

I had an arrangement ordered for a client of ours as a get well. The arrangement was absolutely gorgeous. The only thing I would like to point out is the delivery fee. The charge for delivery from Pasadena to Arcadia was $46.98! Pretty exorbitant for an 8 mile drive (16 miles round trip) But, flowers were beautiful and customer service was A+++. read more

It was AMAZING! They transformed our home and created an unforgettable experience for our guest. Succulents. Not so much flowers. There are so many good things about this tiny boutique shop, but, the bad thing is it's 99% succulents with very few floral arrangements on display. If you want gorgeous succulent arrangements, these will knock you out, but, Christmas wreaths? Christmas anything? Don't go. Not often do you have the opportunity as a Yelper to provide tough feedback to a shop and get an actual response from them. In my years doing this I have not seen this until now. After having an opportunistic experience on my first purchase I posted some feedback on the situation and my disappointment from it. In a matter of days I received a message from the owner who personally wanted to talk about my experience. After our phone conversation he was very receptive to my concerns and invited me back to meet and find a new solution. Once we met in person he was very cordial, and had his employee who helped me before know that it is some important to help their customers. I was extremely flattered but also humbled by this owners passion for his work and business. The owner then handed me a bigger arrangement than what I purchased prior and then took the time to show me how to effectively treat the plant going forward. This has been a long over due review... But during my friend's dad's wake, we we're very devastated to find out that the mortuary who provided the services was not able to supply the flowers. Guess it was one of those things that you forget to mention as it didn't sound like a top priority subject at the time. We've tried to call a number of flower shops but unfortunately noone was able to help on a short notice. But Twigzz, went above and beyond to help us out and put my friend's family at ease. * flowers not there when I came to pick them up * employee offered me roses so I showed up with something and then later owner called me back to say they were $85 * owner then wanted to charge me delivery for his late arrangement * flowers were nothing like what the owner and I had discussed. I ordered a $125 flower arrangement to be picked up at 9 AM on Valentine's Day. My brothers and I were meeting up with my mom for lunch at her office and wanted to surprise her with flowers. On the morning of, I arrived at 10:30am and there was no record of my flowers. One of the employees called Dean, the owner, and apparently my flowers were not ready. They said they were really busy and it seemed quite chaotic as they tried to reach him and figure out the status on my flowers. I was frustrated and didn't have time to wait around because I needed to get to my mom's lunch. One employee ran out holding a handful of roses and asked if that was my order. I told him it wasn't and I asked if I could have these flowers since now I am showing up with NO flowers. He spoke on the phone with Dean and said it was ok for me to take them. The employee said I could call back so we could figure out the delivery of the arrangement. I appreciated the gesture of the roses (but wait...). I called back and spoke to Dean and he said there was nothing they could do. He said they left a voicemail in the morning saying the flowers would not be ready until 10:30 but I came at 10:30 and the flowers were not there. He said there was nothing they could do except deliver it but there was no guarantee when the flowers would arrive, but at least by the end of the day at 8pm. That wasn't satisfactory as my mom works at her office only until 3pm. I suggested to Uber the flowers and he agreed. So I arrive at lunch with the roses. A little bit into lunch, Dean calls me and says they will be charging me $85 for the roses. I told him I was under the impression the employee agreed to give me the flowers because of a mistake they made so I wasn't arriving empty handed to my mom's lunch. He never once mentioned a price and that I would have to pay for them. I'm attaching pictures; these roses are not worth $85. They are not thick stemmed and are already wilting on the edges. They do not cost much wholesale and they should have eaten this cost for their mistake. He now says I have to return them. To avoid him charging my credit card $85 , I now have to drive 40 minutes out of the way to return the flowers. I had to ask my mom for the flowers back! How embarrassing! A bit later Dean calls me back and says he will be charging me for the Uber because it is a delivery. I was shocked and said he expected me to pay for the Uber when this was supposed to be a pick up and I went there to pick it up and the flowers weren't ready?! He agreed to waive the Uber fee. This by the way is all happening during lunch and each call is interrupting and ruining our lunch. After lunch I drove 40 minutes out of the way to return the flowers. Dean didn't offer an apology for any inconvenience and just told me the flowers had been delivered. The flowers arrived, my mom sent me photos, and they weren't as expected. I had spoken to Dean directly about the arrangement. We discussed peaches, purples, yellows, and eucalyptus. The arrangement had no eucalyptus and was pink. I'm deeply disappointed in my experience. They made what would have been an enjoyable morning and lunch a chaotic affair and made me ask for flowers back after giving them to my mom already. 1) I think they overbooked/overpromised and I hope they will learn from this. 2) They need more delivery people especially on a holiday. To promise flowers by 8pm is not satisfactory. How many employees are at work until 8pm? 3). They need to take notes of what they've discussed with their customers so they deliver the correct arrangement. Otherwise state ahead of time that they can't promise certain colors or flowers. 4. Their new location in Old Pasadena is not convenient; at their old location you used to be able to park right outside the shop. You have to park in a structure and walk a block over. Don't buy more than one item or it will be a hassle getting everything to your car. I was going to give them 3 stars for trying to make it right by agreeing to Uber the flowers and offering me the roses beforehand so I arrived to lunch with something. But I'm taking away one star because Dean called me and wanted me to pay $85 for them or else I had to return them, which was a complete inconvenience, and even more so with a 2 year old in the backseat. read more
