I am so happy that I found the Magnolia Cafe in Durant, Oklahoma! This is the best run cafe I have…read morebeen to in a long time! The manager, Chris stays right up front and is a real hands on style manager. He makes sure that the customers are well taken care of by the wait staff( who are all friendly and knowledgeable as well as hard working). The decor is attractive and spotlessly maintained. The kitchen staff gets the food out very promptly and the bacon, eggs, potatoes, biscuits and gravy were all cooked and seasoned to perfection! Everything was so good that I drove through a flooding deluge of rain and lightning to eat there the next morning! Chris remembered me(after only one visit) and greeted me by name! I will definitely be eating here on every trip I make to Durant!

I'll start with Mary cause she was great. Just a really pleasant person that brought an aura of…read morecalm and sweetness to our table. She seems like the type of person that smiles and laughs easy. I really enjoyed her as a server. Next up, coffee. I drink mine black so it has to be good. It was! It tasted like they brewed it fresh just for me in that moment. I suspect they are cleaning their pots regularly so the burnt taste doesn't carry over like in some of the large chain breakfast restaraunts. Breakfast was good, I had the Mexican omelette and the salsa was really good! I forgot to take a picture before I cut it all up, but it was a good size and I got full before I could make it to my hashbrowns and pancake

We visited Salt & Stone for dinner on 3/14/26. Let me explain. Once inside it feels more diner like. The waitress seemed discombobulated and not as polished as you would expect. We ordered two round of drinks and both were very slow to come out. We almost cancelled the second round because we were done eating and still hadn't recieved them. I think the wait staff may have to make their own cocktails so that may be why it's so slow, I'm not sure though. Let's talk food. We ordered the ribeye with brussel sprouts and carrots. It was very mid. It was a $60 steak so we expected more. It came off as a steak from chilis. It also had a peppercorn sauce on top that wasn't the best. Veggies were good and tender. We also ordered the gnocchi. That dish was a success delicious. We absolutely recommend that one but we can't recommend the steak. The ambience was a mix of an attempt at high end and diner. See my pics and you will understand. We won't go back and we usually try a place twice before we make that decision. Food 7/10 - because the gnocchi was delicious Ambience 7/10 - mix of upscale and casual is strange Wait staff- 7/10

Who knew that Durant, Oklahoma, had a upscale restaurant? They just celebrated their 1 year…read moreanniversary. The manager helped us out first, Chandler. He took his time to explain the menu, answer our questions, and made sure that we had our appetizers and drinks. Grace was our waitress, she was attentive, checked on us multiple times and made sure that our table had whatever we needed. I was celebrate my birthday so it was a nice treat to enjoy the ambiance and really enjoyed all of their food for an appetizer. We shared the okra spears. The batter is really good, I do wish they were fried just a little bit longer, but that's just personal preference. I got there espresso martini to drink and it was made very well. For my meal, I tried the savory mushroom and swiss crepes and was even more impressed when I found out that that almost everything that they make in the restaurant is made fresh, including chopping the mushrooms and making the gravy. It was so flavorful and seasoned perfectly. I also got a side of fruit and I really enjoyed the pears and the apples. I also got a side of the truffle fries, and they were some of the best i've ever had. Of course I had to get dessert because it's my birthday. I chose their seasonal tart, which was a bourbon peach tart. The peaches were flavored really well. I added vanilla ice cream, and it took it to another level. The only critique I have is that the crust could have been cooked a little longer. But overall, my meal was exceptional. If I come back to Choctaw casino, I will come back here. Also above the restaurant, they have a boutique hotel. I definitely want to come check out a suite as well. Just so you're aware, they do charge an 18% gratuity. So be mindful when you're tipping, but we gave extra, because Grace did such a good job.

Let me begin by saying that the customer service and overall experience was FIVE STARS!…read more You walk into a space that has an intimate charm to it and a menu that has some creative options. We got seated and Chandler came over to greet us. He made some suggestions and went above and beyond to make sure that our visit was a memorable one. Grace was our server and she made sure that our cups were never empty and plates didn't stack up on the table. We started with the okra spears. Whole pieces of okra that are battered and served with a ranch dipping sauce. Now this is totally about preference but for us, the okra needed to cook a little longer, especially the larger pieces, but the seasoning was on point. I got the meat lovers omelette and it came with potatoes however I was looking for something lighter. I was given options of truffle fries, sweet potato fries or fresh fruit. I opted for the fruit (slices of apples, pears, oranges). They use a thick cut bacon and I personally prefer my bacon cooked harder so there were some pieces that were chewy and not to my liking. I also felt that the eggs were cooked a little too hard. However with that said, everyone else at the table really enjoyed their food and as I mentioned we were checked on numerous times and I was asked if I wanted them to replace it (at this time I was almost done so no need for that). Everything mentioned in this review was also discussed with Chandler and I appreciated that he took constructive criticism as well as positive feedback well. Overall we had a great experience and we would definitely come back. Note that they give a discount for paying in cash and gratuity is added to the check however you have the opportunity to change it.
