With so much good food in the surrounding area it's hard to give this place higher rating. Adding one star for convenience. Service could be improved. Employees are efficient but not friendly. A $17 small salad that filled half a bowl really wasn't worth the price. The lettuce appeared to come out of a Costco bag, tomatoes a little soft and sour, chicken tasted like cold shake and bake. Nothing stood out as good. Just mediocre. I just could not believe the high stars. Possibly coming in the evening we were left with cold leftovers that had seen better days. Maybe it was late and the two staff really just wanted to go home. And we did ask for a cup of water which they said we need to buy a bottle...that really was annoying. I love myself a meal wrapped in a flour tortilla. Thats probably why I find myself at twentyonegrains pretty frequently after work when the hangry starts to creep in. I've probably been here over fifteen times and every time I get the same spicy chicken caesar wrap. It's just the perfect food when you want fresh, but filling, saucy but not greasy. I wish I could get myself to try something else but this is one of the few times where I really have no interest in scoping out the rest of the offerings. read more

I visited the Urbanspace location which I never knew it was located there, so many good restaurants that will meet your desire with enough seating inside and outside. Twentyonegrains was a top notch choice, and Im glad i got to try it for the first time. The freshness of the ingredients were amazing, the serving size was great. One of my *favorite* gluten-free quickeats in the city! It's conveniently located in the center of midtown, within a food hall with a ton of other dining options. Ordering was very easy - they have a clear menu and I love how everything, the wraps, salads, and bowls, can all be customizable. I honestly feel a bit overwhelmed by the sheer amount of choices and usually stick to the preset flavor combinations, which I've always enjoyed so I don't think you can go wrong. My favorite by far is the grimewrap, which contains brown rice as a base, bbq chicken, romaine, avocado, bacon, and this amazing mango ranch sauce that I can never get enough of! The wrap portions are quite large - I usually am full after just eating half, so I think this meal is very worth its price. After getting your food, there's so much ample seating on the second floor of the food hall (though as a heads up, at super peak lunch rush hours, it may be a bit harder to find available spots). Whenever I'm in the area, I know I can always fall back on Twentyonegrains for a quick, simple, healthy, and above everything else, tasty meal! read more

I had the hungry bowl which consisted of rice, chicken, beans, corn, tortilla chips, avocado, and mango chutney. It was a good clean lunch but nothing out of this world. HUGE fan. This was my favorite meal in NYC of the weekend. Why? High quality, large quantity, inexpensive, and fast! It's in a little area with several other restaurants so it's perfect if you have people with different dietary desires/needs. Built my own with arugula/quinoa, edamame, pickled onions, cauliflower, tomatoes, eggplant. Loved the dill tahini dressing and eggplant. Would come here all the time if I lived in the area. Love that it's all gluten free with lots of vegan options! Employee was so nice - he threw in an extra topping since it was my first time there. They should change the name of this place to just "grains" because they charge over $10 for essentially just a bowl of rice with a few stingy toppings. Ordered the grain bowl with eggplant, sundried tomatoes (no protein). At other places these no protein places come with a lot of sauce and veggies so you are not making as much of a sacrifice by going meatless. But here there just wasn't much sauce so many of the bites were quite flavorless. Also due to the stingy toppings, I ended up having to break the veggies into very small pieces to eat with the rice. I had specifically chosen this place for a meat free meal. Maybe its better with the protein. Keep in mind adding chicken is $4, and others are more. On the plus side service here is quicker than the other restaurants in the food court, probably because there didn't seem to be many customers versus the other places. read more

Delivery was timely (I work not far from the restaurant) and everything was packaged well. But that's where the praise ends. I got the buffalo chicken wrap...with no buffalo sauce. How that makes sense is beyond me. Still ate it and the chicken was at least tasty and not dry, so that was a bright side. Tried the potato salad, not terrible flavor wise, but the description definitely implied more seasoning than was actually used and the potatoes were undercooked. Wouldn't order again. read more

I am celiac and this is near my office, so I was so excited about it and figured it would be my new every day lunch, but I'm so confused by all the gf influencers saying they love this place. I've ordered from here twice now (to give it a second chance) and both times what I got was basically inedible and I ended up throwing it out. I got the sweet chilibliss wrap with the chicken cutlet one time and the chicken breast was so bizarre, super thin but extremely rubbery and didn't even really look like chicken, so I got freaked out and tossed it. The second time I got the Skinny Coconut with Tofu because I didn't want to risk chicken again and it was just so sad looking and entirely tasteless, and it's not like it was cheap! I'm willing to pay for something to be reliably GF and good, and GF lunch options are limited so I am desperate to love this place, but I cannot figure out what the deal is. read more

Really disappointed to be honest! I work in the area and finally tried it out. For $20, I was really unimpressed. The bowl was mostly rice (like an alarming amount), the mangos were not fresh, and the food was overall under seasoned.
