We had the most wonderful wedding day here. It was absolutely beautiful and everything went smoothly. I couldn't have imagined a more perfect wedding day. The wedding staff is caring and attentive. I wish I could go back and do it all again.

We truly had the best time at Twenty Mile House. Everything was absolutely perfect. So many of our guests told us it was the best wedding they've ever been to, and we couldn't agree more. Thank you to the entire TMH team for making our wedding so special, stress-free, and memorable. You all created an experience we'll never forget.

I cannot say enough good things about the Twenty Mile House! I had the most amazing time on the property, a perfect wedding with outstanding staff that made me, my new husband, and all my guests feel special and at ease all weekend long. I keep getting the most incredible feedback from family and friends about how it was the most enjoyable, warm, elegant yet comfortable weddings they had ever been to that "just flowed." The truth is I cannot take credit for any of it. Everything flows seamlessly when you have fantastic and kind bar tenders keeping the party going (Devin & Jasper), outstanding vendors like Holly and her team at Pangaea and Kim and her team at Grandma Jane's Place (guests wouldn't stop talking about the food and how they normally never like food at weddings), Sonia at Gray's Flower Garden who rocked the beautiful bouquets and lined the aisle with loose white petals and baby's breath, a DJ who can "read the room" flawlessly, keeping the energy and tempo just right at all times- shout out to Will Perkins at 530 Entertainment- Kiana Bohm, Heart Root Yoga, helping my bridesmaids and I slow down and set our intentions for the day with a serene flow the morning of the wedding that recalibrated our getting ready rhythm, and incredibly skilled, professional and FUN friends behind the cameras: Rachelle Elliott (Composing Reality, photographer with TMH) and Jared Wortley (videography) who were with me pretty much all day, helping me stay present and ensuring all the magic was captured... we bonded over Holly's ridiculous meatballs and artichoke chip hors d'oeuvres half way through our couples sunset photos and had a blast working together! Each one of these integral players are fantastic on their own, but for an event like this, to pulled off at such an elevated level of artistry where everything was so well integrated and coordinated - down to every little detail like having the groom's and my favorite drink ready for us post ceremony, bringing us goodies to eat and drink when she noticed us starting to fade during a long family photo sesh, and I'm sure 100 other things I didn't even notice because I was too busy floating and enjoying my wedding (something I hear is not common as a host), could not have happened without being led by the team lead and head wedding coordinator, Chief Amazing Officer: Rachel Mann. Rachel was SO great to work with. She's very kind, extremely responsive, adaptable, intelligent and overall an incredible leader whose only concern is making the bride and groom happy. She really spoiled us. Writing this isn't as fun as I thought it would be because I don't think I'm conveying what I experienced well enough. It was better than words can describe (so please reference the large amount of attached photos lol). Everything from how cute the accommodations were, which had everything we needed like an ironing board and dress steamer, to early morning peaceful walks throughout the property with a cup of coffee and my honey with our two service dogs that of course LOVED the location- and the mini beach down by the beautiful river that flows through the property- to just being greeted by smiles from all staff members. It was an incredible atmosphere overall the whole time and I wish I could go back and relive it all! We will forever be grateful to Rachel and everyone else that at the Twenty Mile House, and others (shout out to Daria DiBitonto who made my bridesmaids and I feel gorgeous and Whitney Whiting who did magic with my hair in record time), who all made this weekend an absolute dream for Jake and I. I cannot recommend the Twenty Mile House and each vendor I mentioned enough. Best decision we made, other than tying the knot itself!

An unreal wedding venue! This place is truly magical and staff made us feel so special and cared for. We loved our wedding weekend and would highly recommend this beautiful venue to anyone looking. The day of the wedding everything ran so smoothly because the vendors at TMH have all worked together before. We were able to chill out and relax the day of because we felt secure knowing TMH had it all handled! Besides the staff being amazing, the venues is truly stunning nestled in the woods of Graeagle. You are surrounded by nature and trees. It feels like it's just you out there! The venue is an amazing getaway for the weekend with homey cabin accommodations onsite.

We had our wedding at Twenty Miles House and it was an amazing, magical experience. We wanted a very intimate wedding with only 30 people max. Twenty Miles House is prepared for bigger guest wedding but they were very patient and understand about our vision/ wish that gave is the price that we can agree on for our intimate wedding. Preparation was very smooth and easy, Rachael and Pennie made everything easy for us with all the planning work sheet that will give idea to each vendor what our vision is. I had twin toddler under 2 years old when I was planning for wedding and I would've never made this happen without Rachael and Pennie's help. In December, we planned a detailed plan meeting with Pennie and it was super helpful to understand what will happen the day of, what still need to be planned on my side etc. I also want to give huge shoutout to Pennie since our van got stuck in the snow and couldn't go up the hill coming out for Twenty mile house (Embarrassing experience lol). Pennie stuck with us and helped us get out of this situation!! Wedding day, everything went smoothly. Our wedding day was magical. On our wedding day, we had 2 year old twins AND 2 month old baby. Twenty miles house staff made everything easy for us. We got to the venue earlier than the check in time since we had toddlers and baby, Twenty mile house staff kindly let us play at the venue while we wait for the lodge to get ready and gave us some sweets, milk and snacks. Since we have kids our wedding was with kids schedule, every staff member understand that and was super nice to us. Photographer who understand the difficulty of having toddlers and yet took the best photo of our special day with our kids, catering vendor Holly has saved us some food from our wedding in a "to go" box so that we were able to enjoy the food later on. ( And would like to mention that food was delicious ). DJ who understand out music choice and played as we requested He also kindly commented that he really enjoyed that we have included kids into our wedding every possible way. Floweriest is AMAZING! I am so in love with her work and the arch flower work was breath taking. I am still in WOW. Venue, Vendor, everything about Twenty Mile House was wonderful and it was impossible for us to have our dream wedding without them.

We had the most incredible experience working with the team at Twenty Mile House! They provide nearly all the vendors for our wedding weekend(photography, coordinator, catering, cake/dessert, DJ, florist, bartenders/service staff, etc.) which made planning streamlined and far less stressful. We loved the option of having the rehearsal dinner and lodging on site the night prior which allowed us to fully settle into the weekend. The venue itself is absolutely MAGICAL! From the historic buildings, sweeping trees, natural creek, and train tracks nearby, guests could not stop commenting on how gorgeous it all was. We are so grateful we found and opted to go with TMH for our wedding!!!

Our sweetheart table on the best night of our lives!

I am still on cloud 9 after getting married at Twenty Mile House! What an unforgettable day it was. Pene the wedding coordinator is truly a master at her craft and was an incredible person to have in my corner during the entire process. The venue itself is absolutely stunning and they made everything so easy. On the morning after, they had everything we brought taken down and packed up ready for us to load in the cars. Anything they can do to help the process be more manageable, they'll do it. I would highly consider getting married here, I wouldn't have changed one thing.

My now wife and I first toured Twenty Mile House in August of 2022, and right away, we knew that the venue, and the people that ran it, were special. Flash forward to our wedding day at Twenty Mile House in September 2023, where we looked back and realized it was truly the best choice we could have ever made!  The wonderful staff of Twenty Mile made everything so easy and seamless, which are frequently not the words that come to mind while you are planning a wedding! They have a bunch of go-to vendors that they work with on a regular basis, who are all extremely talented, professional, and easy to work with! The team really allows you to control as much of the planning process as you want, and are great at adjusting for any accomodations that you or your party needs, allowing for a unique and individualized experience. The staff also went above and beyond to make sure that we, and all of our guests, had the night of our lives. We are so glad to be able to look back and relive our perfect day at such an amazing and beautiful venue. We HIGHLY recommend Twenty Mile House for any perspective couples looking for their dream wedding in the Lost Sierra. You will NOT be disappointed!

From the moment I saw the pictures, I knew Twenty Mile House was where I wanted our forever to begin. Just like I knew my husband was The One, I knew Twenty Mile House was The One. They make the wedding process so simple and painless, and their team of vendors really can customize just about anything for your vision. Our coordinator, Penie, was outstanding! Her creative problem solving and quick responses alleviated all my worries. She went above and beyond to make our dreams a reality with the setup and décor, especially after some of our plans went haywire just weeks before the wedding. She saved the day in so many ways. On our wedding day, I heard from basically everyone that I was the most relaxed and stress-free bride they had ever seen - I owe that ALL to Penie and the TMH team! (My amazing husband gets a little credit, too.) Rachelle, the photographer, was so on top of it with the schedule and capturing the photos we wanted. Our guests raved about the food from Pangaea Catering (and the late night bites were a huge hit!). We had the buffet in the general store and I was particularly impressed when the friendly staff came out to the tables to offer seconds and bring food directly to our guests. That was such a classy touch and our guests really appreciated it. The dessert bar was devoured and a definite showpiece at the reception. The grounds are immaculate and the privacy of the location made everything so intimate. Our guests were in awe of the stunning natural beauty, and we heard from many of them that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. We want to thank the entire team for creating this once-in-a-lifetime experience for us that we get to carry with us forever. There is something so magical about Twenty Mile House - it truly was a fairytale come true!

It was…read moreeverything that we hoped for: a bit off the beaten path with absolutely stunning views highlighting the mountains and trees that we love so much, but close enough to Truckee to make it accessible for all of our guests. And the owners, Fred and Pam, are the kindest, most welcoming people that go above and beyond to make you feel like family and make your day perfect! We cannot thank them or recommend their property enough! We visited Mitchel's Meadows on our first day of wedding venue touring. We had multiple tours and hours of driving planned for the day and set aside about 45 minutes for our stop at Mitchel's Meadows, but ended up staying for close to 2 hours chatting with Fred as he showed us all over the property, before inviting us in for hot chocolate and homemade treats around the fireplace in their home. It was a cold November day and they had put away most things for the winter, but the magic and love for their property showed through and we knew this is where we would celebrate our day. We chose to have our ceremony on a grassy area off the back of the home (which we had access to the entire day and was where the bridal party got ready!) overlooking the meadow. This is the main ceremony area, but the owners also gave us the option to have it anywhere we choose on the property to make the day our own. Our First Look was in an aspen grove a short hike from the house (which the owners had created a path to, complete with wood crossings over marshy areas) by the Little Truckee River. Our reception area was adjacent to another meadow just up from the house. The owners have built out an ideal space with pavers and tent, string lights over an outdoor dance floor, a bar, multiple seating areas (both around the dancefloor and in the meadow!) and permanent restrooms - all included with the venue rental. We loved moving throughout the property as the day progressed and enjoying all of the different spaces. The property is truly magical and words, nor photos, can do it justice. Other amenities to highlight: In addition to access to the main house, there is also a workshop where the groomsmen got ready, multiple firepits and heat lamps to keep warm when it cools down at night, and lots of odds and ends from previous weddings to help fill out decor or save the day if something was missed or forgotten. Additionally, the owners provide a golf cart shuttle service between different points of the venue day of. And as previously stated, the tent is a great bonus. This isn't usually something that comes with a venue and is typically rented separately, but it provides a great "indoor" backup peace of mind for weather. On our wedding day, we lowered the clear flaps of the tent to keep out the wind, but the clear material still allowed us to enjoy the surroundings. Finally, the property is yours for the entire weekend; Fred & Pam only book one wedding per weekend, making coordinating rentals, setups and teardowns super easy and stress free as it does not all need to happen on the wedding day. We are absolutely thrilled with how everything turned out and the memories we made at this magical spot in the forest. Another shout out to Fred and Pam for the HUGE role that they played in it! The care they have for the property and the amount of work they put into it truly makes it special. They are beyond accommodating and immensely helpful. They take the time to get to know you and are genuinely invested in helping you make your day the memory of a lifetime.

Chris and I had the absolute pleasure of getting married at Mitchells Meadows this past weekend…read more The venue is unbelievably special and should be at the top of the list for any couple seeking a gorgeous outdoor wedding in the Tahoe area. Chris and I had looked at most venues in Tahoe and narrowed in on Mitchells Meadows for the following reasons: 1) It offers a rare combination of feeling truly remote while offering infrastructure: The venue is tucked away in the Tahoe National Forest in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, with a property featuring picturesque streams and large meadows with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Our first visit to the property took our breath away -- it offers stunning beauty and feels really off the beaten path (no cell service onsite -- which we LOVED). You have to see it for yourself to really understand. Simultaneously, however, it feels accessible -- It's only a 30 minute drive from the venue to Truckee, where there are many hotels and airbnbs for guest housing. The property itself comes equipped with key infrastructure which would typically make such a location challenging for event planning -- a tent with flooring, a dance floor under the stars, string lighting, bathrooms with a view of the mountains, a gorgeous wooden bar hand-built by the owner. 2) The owners are incredibly special people: Pam and Fred are the heart and soul of the venue. There wasn't a time when we visited the property when Pam didn't invite us up into the house to have iced tea and baked goods. Fred is known to build things custom for weddings on property and is constantly working to ensure that the space is manicured and perfectly maintained. Pam and Fred clearly love their property and work to ensure that every couple getting married there has a perfect, tailored experience. 3) No wedding at Mitchells Meadows is exactly the same: Chris and I did not want a cookie cutter wedding and we visited a number of venues that felt like "wedding mills." Mitchells Meadows is the opposite of this. Each couple can really design their personal vision -- there are a myriad of choices for ceremony location, for first look, for cocktail hour, and the space really becomes a scenic pallet for couples to create the experience of their dreams. With that said, Pam/Fred make it easy, guiding couples with best practices and offering built in infrastructure (For every guest, there will already be a tent, bar, dance floor, fire pits, and stage already available at the venue, for no additional cost). 4) There are no noise ordinances: This was actually huge for us in the decision process, as we wanted guests to be able to dance late into the night without interruption. Almost all of the venues on Lake Tahoe (if not all) have a strict noise ordinance of 10 pm. As it's fully tucked away, Mitchells Meadows allows its patrons to party with amplified music until midnight, giving much more time / flexibility around the celebration. Mitchells Meadows was such a special experience for us and enabled us to throw the most perfect mountain wedding. Our guests danced under the stars, lounged by fire pits late into the night, and marveled at the views. We've heard so much feedback that this was the most amazing venue people had ever seen. We couldn't recommend Mitchells Meadows more strongly for anyone planning a Tahoe wedding. Go and see it for yourself and you'll understand immediately.
