Where do I start! 15 years at my residence. Asking for ANYTHING is a task! Illegal cars "squatting" in the parking areas with loud exhaust and bad inspections with out of town plates. Do you think that they would tow or notify the owners of these cars - NO! Their answer, after numerous attempts, the cars belong to college kids...we are more lenient with them. WHAT??????? They follow the same rules that we all do!!!! Patch work on my condo building was reported 2 years ago...the damage still remains. The board meetings are a joke! Ghosting is typical of TWC, they do not want to hear about it at all! Dues go up each and every year, mainly because of snow removal. I think they shoveled ONCE last winter and we still saw a huge increase! Don't be late on your condo dues people or they will have their rat attorney go after you! Not sure what the bad reviews are from, we've had excellent service from Amanda and the team. Even had a recent plumbing crisis, while I was 200 miles away, and they did an excellent job responding (off hours), getting it quickly resolved, and confirming the plumber re-winterized or system before he left. I've lived here for 30 years. We've had them for about 20. There responsiveness was not great in the early days, but things usually got done. Over the past 10-12 years, the only way you can get an answer on anything is by copying the President of the Board, and even sometimes the entire board just to get a response. It's her responsibility to advise on how to solve the problems, and what to plan for. But, over the past years she is more resistant to spending money. If something costs, it's her decision as to whether the cost is worth it, not the board's, including moving costs from expenses to reserves. For example, landscaping and tree canopy management has become abominable. They stopped doing full tree trimming to keep branches away from the units. As a result, the trees are so thick that the grass is dying. They refuse to address the issue. We have roots tearing up sidewalks, patios, and apparently going under the units.... Because of that tree overgrowth. Getting them to repair the sidewalks, patios, etc. is a fight, every time. The landscaping is being overseen by a board member, who does not have the authority to direct the landscaping team to correct what they do. Foundation issues were reported to her but not addressed. A contractor reported the problem to her and the report was sat on for 2 years until another unit was having problems. The board had never been made aware of the problem. There's always an excuse. I will say that it is partly the Board's fault because even if they ask the right questions, they accept confidently stated non-responsive answers as valid. However, I believe that is partly because the Board has been around so long, and they are "comfortable". read more

We were trying to be above board with an issue related to helping out a neighbor, we simply wanted to let the association know that we were allowing the neighbor to use our parking spot and we would use hers. After reaching out to me on the 6th and never saying how this would work, I finally get an email on the 29th telling me they are going to repaint the spaces to move my number to her spot and then her number to my spot. This was not communicated to us in advance. I was asked if we wanted to continue, I said no, we just want you all to know that she can use it while she's there. I replied at 4pm. Well, at 7PM I was sent pictures of my parking spot, they had gone ahead and painted. When I emailed that this had happened, I was told that we had agreed to this and we were told this is how they would address it. No, we weren't prior to the 29th. When I asked for the manager's email today, I wrote an email explaining the situation and I got this email back. "Let's make this easy so we don't have to keep arguing about it with them. Let's get the space numbers switched back. Lesson learned here for me is that we are never making another switch without a notarized statement from both homeowners involved. Emails are not sufficient. I know what they said and we followed their lead and tried to accommodate them." I am pretty confident she meant to send it to the point person I had the original exchange with. But instead she sent it to me and my husband. When I pointed it out I got no apology or explanation except for a terse response to my question on when they would be addressing a different issue. This is hands down the most unprofessional response I have ever seen and I think it's telling I can't leave a Google Review. I think they must pay to have themselves unlisted from it. This company for years has dodged responsibility for ensuring that residents do not impact each other's enjoyment of common areas. We have brought to their attention an issue that impacts the entire building multiple times and we are often ghosted or get excuses. I have had to buy work arounds to keep my condo how I want it because of their refusal to handle an issue. I really do not know why I am paying $348 in dues a month for a pool that isn't open every day, for a random recycling bin in the far back of the development, and to constantly have to re-email or re-contact about the same issue because the manager always needs to be followed up with. I also feel awful for my other residents who are paid for them to needlessly paint and repaint a parking spot instead of simply documenting we were switching. read more

The management is horrible here they don't answer the phone. The office is closed to the public and they make impossible hours but also they don't address any of your concerns or call you back or answer emails I want to know who their bosses are so I can call them. read more

From the first communication with the receptionist to the assistant property manager the service was excellent. They were honest that it might take a day or two to get the issue resolved and true to their word they got back to me with a resolution. I would highly recommend this management company to any HOA. read more

The company has a long pattern of committing administrative and accounting errors. They repeatedly sent erroneous late notices, fail to follow up and issue timely corrections, and are very unpleasant to deal with. My husband and I just bought a house and moved into one of the properties they manage in Bentana Woods. I am listed as the primary owner and my husband is the Co owner. Since moving in, twc has communicated with my household but only by addressing my husband. All letters and payment forms have been placed in his name, as if he were the only option. I communicated this mistake to them, hoping for some accountability, an explanation and a pathway forward but they chose to respond by offering to resend the coupon booklet for payments in my name. This is one of the worst companies I have ever done business with. And unfortunately this is for a long list of reasons. Unless your conversation with them involves money, you probably won't have a conversation with them at all. They are very good at taking your money on point, in fact sometimes they have tried to take more than they we're supposed to. Their emergency system sucks. They have an emergency phone line but trust me when I say it's not monitored. As of one month ago to this post, I have still not received a callback from three voicemails I left on their emergency phone line, when the whole building power went out. Dominion VA Power technician ended up going out of their way to fix TWC's problem. And let's not get started on the countless amount of times I have had email conversations about their lack of groundskeeping with pictures attached, and despite them saying they would take care of it, they never did But the best story is when they gave me a brand new parking pass and didn't bother to notify the towing company, surprise my car got towed. And then they REFUSED to reimburse the towing fee, until I threatened them legally. Do yourselves a favor and stay away from this company. read more

Like others, I have tried to get in touch with these people about their website and billing issues. I always have to create a new log-in. When the phone is actually answered, I am never greeted with a friendly voice, nor are they helpful. But they certainly didn't hesitate trying to collect my money when I recently made an error ONCE - mind you -and put my savings account in instead of my checking I indeed sent them the payment again correctly, and now they decided to send it to a lawyer. They should check their records. Really? Where was the communication from them - letters, emails a phone call. Horrible, horrible association management. I have owned in one of the buildings that they manage less than 2 months and in that time I have dealt with complete lack of response at times, being provided incorrect information, rude staff on the phone including interrupting every sentence I was trying to say, lack of response to an emergent problem, and other concerns. So far they've been unresponsive, incompetent, uncaring, and nearly complete lack of customer service skills. read more

We have been living in the neighborhood for over ten years, and by now everything is pretty much falling apart, there is little landscaping done, litter is on the streets as none cares to monitor or follow up with homeowners who just put trash out for a night in white trade bags for the animals to tear apart. The neighborhood looks and feels run down. The emails or phone calls are left unanswered for the most part. TWC is a headache to deal with. Unless they're collecting money or need something from you, good luck getting ahold of anyone or a response. They never respond to emails and don't know how to return phone calls. I'm pretty sure they screen phone calls because anytime I've called they either don't answer at all during their normal business hours, or someone answers and says the person you need is busy/away from their desk and will just transfer you to their voicemail...which they never return. read more

My wife is disabled with a head injury, we have always found their bill the hardest to pay with their arguing to make things worse for us., took me awhile to get calls back to know how to pay the bill through a fourth party, I have left many polite messages to TWC's Rep never calls back about paying him to replace a building key. Some of can not get to Herndon, and from what I'm reading here, with their receptionist, that doesn't work either. When deciding to purchase a condo, ASK your realtor who the management company is. The volunteer Condo Association Board does all it can to choose the best management company, but may have hoodwinked with this one, with their service. We have lived here since 2004, and have never been held back from getting a building key to our own house. read more

This association is the worst they don't care about their home owners. They aren't compassionate in any sense towards them. They just take their month fees and don't even do much for the condo owner with those fees. There staff is unfriendly and short with you. One should definitely look into their condo association b4 agreeing to purchase a condo in their hands. read more

My husband & I newly purchased a home in the subdivision they manage for our Homeowner's Association. Contacted their office to inquire if I could receive updated copy of the updated bylaws, when the next community meeting was, and questions about services that were being completed on behalf of association. Was told that the property manager was not in the office and that there was no one to assist me. When I asked if there was anyone who could answer some general information I was again told the same the exact same information to me as if she was a recording three times. The young lady who answered the phone started raising her voice and having a poor attitude with me. After telling her that she needed to take a step back and to adjust her attitude a bit since i was just asking some general questions her voice increased till she was yelling at me. At that time I ended the phone call. I called back three times and was able to access their dial by name directory and left an additional message for the Vice President, Kim Hendon since the President of the company was out of the office. He called me back and did his best to resolve the issues, gave me contact information for our property manager, and told me that there is always someone available for the property. I appreciate his call back, and it made a huge difference in my perception of the management company. read more

I wish I could give them -1 star. People, please stay away from them. My life is ruined pretty much. We have figured out that they don`t give a s*it about anything what they have to do when we were trying to get our parking passes. My husband had to go there !3! times just because Sarah Helander would not be able to ever give him correct list of papers he should have brought (swear!). When we got cockroaches - we have let our property manager know that we need a cockroach guy so he was scheduled for certain time frame - he didn`t show up. We have never heard from him after...disappeared.Then Our neighbors`s AC got broken so some people came; made a hole in our ceiling, took off our blinds and left. That process took about a month and it is not done yet. So this is how we live now. We also got bed bugs recently from our neighbors (I suppose; we didn`t travel and that`s what the bed bug guy said). Right now I am crying non stop because nobody would help us even with a hole in the ceiling. Of course we talked to our property manager numerous times but she just repeat what we said to TWC as I suppose. So yes- TWC don`t really want to do something about it. I called them-had to leave a vm (because it was a lunch break 12.30am. But it was 3.30pm when I called). Then I had to email them; and she did respond me hours later-yelling and screaming in a very not professional form. WOW. I feel like back home with this kinda attitude! Today I found out that they also complained; "poor little babies" about Anastasia calling them. So Ridiculous. I am sorry for everybody who has to deal with them. read more

TWC Management/Kim Hendon are the most unprofessional company I have ever had to deal with. On June 7th it will be 2 months since I had water damage to my condo due to the neglect own in the unit above mine. On May 7th a was awoken by the sound of running water that was coming out of the light fixture in the entry way. A few hours later my dining/living room ceiling collapsed and I've been living in a nightmare ever since. To spare most of the details (and your boredom) I had to use my insurance to cover the cost of my furniture, hotel expenses, food, etc because TWC took the word of the owner upstairs when she said she had no clue that it needed to be replaced; even though she told me that she was trying to "bandaid" the problem to avoid cost. Took them 2 1/2 weeks to have their insurance adjuster come out to look at the damage...TWO AND A HALF WEEKS!!! It took them over a week to have Servpro come out to dry the unit out...which by the way me and my kids were still living in the unit. According to Kim at TWC, he had no idea that he needed to file a claim with their insurance and have one of their adjusters come out...ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!? This is the VP of the company too btw. Once my insurance money ran out, me and my kids had to move back in. Still with no floor and no kitchen (this is June 28th now, over a month and a half since the damage). Just today, July 5th, the lower cabinets and sink have been put back in (thank you Jesus!). The dining/living room and kitchen floor was finished July 1st. I have a 3 & 12 year old who they clearly didn't care if they had to live in that type of environment and risk stepping on something from the floor being ripped out. Kim never response to my messages, because of course, he's NEVER available. They are unprofessional and unsympathetic. They should have a much quicker response and kindness when dealing with people...we are THEY'RE CUSTOMER and WE pay their bills!! read more

TWC is HORRIBLE! They do not even deserve one star! The little receptionist has a bad attitude and actually hung up on me several times and then would not answer the phone! They hire landscapers for the HOA who deliver mulch and they delivered mulch full of termites! When I called to have this addressed is when I was hung up on because I was told since the PM for my community wasn't there nobody could help me. Then nothing was resolved- I had to pay for the treatment and nothing was ever addressed. They are the worst management company around and I would reconsider ever moving to a community managed by them! Thankfully we moved far away from anywhere they manage! read more

Without a doubt the most unprofessional property management service I have ever dealt with in my life. They look for every opportunity to avoid repairing items that are their responsibility according to the condo association's by laws on common area items. They rarely return calls, are nasty, lie, and try to undermine the owners of individual condos. read more

First, I would like to say that if giving no stars was an option, I would be giving TWC management zero stars. Unfortunately, one star will have to be the amount given. TWC Management is an embarrassment in the property management industry and I highly recommend the company principals and HR department re-evaluate their hiring criteria. The employees and property managers are extremely unprofessional in the way they conduct business with their customers/home owners. From the way they speak to their homeowners who have questions, to not being in the office on a consistent basis when you need them, it's amazing that they find time to manage their properties in a manner that would be worthy of being considered a relevant property management company. Visitor parking is extremely inconvenient and non-existent due lack of space and absurd parking policies. They consistently send letters to homeowners about items that have need to be corrected/have been corrected and do not conduct home inspections in the way their policies and procedures state. The homes themselves are great, with open concept floor plans and convenient locations. It's a shame that the company who is managing great properties lacks everything that should be expected by a property management company who states that "After 30 years of serving associations, clients, and Board members our company's name has become synonymous with... Reliability, Integrity, and Excellence of Service. " There is nothing about this management company that is reliable, excellent service or has integrity. read more
