After taking the GRE for the first time and not scoring to the level that I was looking for, I was recommended by a close friend to seek a private tutor through Twainstein. This could not have been a better choice, as working with Avi Lidgi proved to be what I needed to take the next step in improving my score. After working with Avi for three sessions (three weeks), I was able to improve my GRE score by 13 points (V158 Q159 to V166 Q164) into the 90th%s. While the resources and study materials were certainly useful, Avi's expertise on GRE-style questions and strategy for approaching these questions were invaluable in improving my score beyond what I could have done myself in this short period of time. Many of the questions that I considered highly difficult became simplified and approachable under his tutelage. During the test, this saved me many precious minutes to check my logical reasoning in both the verbal and quantitative sections. As such, I highly recommend Twainstein to any individuals or groups seeking improvement in their GRE test scores. The test is an excellent opportunity to anyone seeking to advance their education, and this test preparation organization offers an exciting way to achieve even greater success. read more

TLDR; Twainstein was quite possibly one of my greatest finds on Yelp. Highly recommend for GRE tutor services. Money well spent. Over the past year I decided to pursue a career change that would require taking the GRE (/ hiring a tutor) and getting accepted to grad school. Being budget conscious, the first thing I noticed was that Twainstein's services weren't cheap, in fact they were wayyy out of my price range. However after doing some research, reading some reviews, having a pressure-free consult with Avi, and deciding that the best investment I could make was in my education, I made the leap. Best. Decision. Ever. Over the course of a month and half, Avi and I worked together to improve my confidence and test-taking strategy/abilities (Dare I say i'm no longer afraid of fractions?). He was patient, observant and tailored our sessions to my needs. I put in a lot of effort inside and outside of our sessions, and he did the same for me. I also really appreciated his routine checkins, his availability, speedy email responses, and his comprehensive approach to the exam. If you are slow to learn, have a LD like myself, or just lack the confidence, please don't let that deter you from taking the exam! You can achieve your goal score like I did with hard work and proper guidance, which is why I highly recommend Avi and his team. read more

If you need a tutor, a coach, and a strategist, choose Avi. In our first phone call, I told him about my work and school history, and my dream MBA programs. Avi put together a plan covering everything from GMAT tutoring, application prep, and interview practice, all the way to getting admission and a scholarship. He is professional and always quick to respond. Importantly, he provides great emotional support when things get tough, especially when trying to balance work, study, and applications. Avi's positive attitude and strategy-focused approach can really boost your confidence. Thanks to his help, I achieved my dream - I was accepted into both UCLA and USC. I know, without a doubt, that I couldn't have achieved this without him. Avi comes with my highest recommendation - if you want success, he's your guy! read more

I began working with Twainstein January of last year. I took the 8-week GRE class with Andrew and scored in the 92% percentile in writing and 88% percentile in reading thanks to Twainstein's curriculum and test strategies. Afterwards, I purchased the 8-school admissions counseling package with Avi at an incredibly reasonable price. Thanks to Avi's help I got accepted into all but one of my top programs including NYU, Cornell, and my top choice Columbia which I will be attending this summer. I believe Avi's holistic admissions counseling approach is the best out there. He genuinely makes an effort to understand you and your goals and bring out the best in what you have to showcase to the programs you are applying for. His expert guidance through every step of the process from recommendations, essays, and program selection have been one of the single best investments I have made in positively shaping the trajectory of my life. I highly recommend Twainstein for anyone looking to apply to graduate school and fortunate enough to come across this company. read more

I can definitely vouch for all of the other great reviews for Twainstein. I decided to do the self-paced 8-sessions for the GRE. The sessions will take you through verbal and quant sections, essay sections, as well as give insight into how the tests are crafted and scored. They know these tests inside and out! Avi was in touch with me frequently to monitor my progress and to coach me through the process of studying for the GRE's. The support was very personal, customized, and they will stay with you until you achieve whatever it is you want to achieve. After each of the practice exams I took, I was able to get customized feedback on my scores, including the essay portion. I was also given recommendations on what to watch out for and areas to focus on for subsequent tests. Taking standardized exams can be a extremely stressful process. Definitely glad I had the support of Twainstein to get me through! read more

Ah Avi! Although things did not go exactly to plan when it came to graduate school, he was still able to help me achieve a stellar GRE score. Truth be told I went through many different types of prep services and Avi was an exceptional individual when it came to knowing the 'workings' of the GRE and how to to answer the 'unknown'. His course is long, intensive but VERY educational. Highly recommend him if you wish to improve your GRE and obtain confidence when entering the test! read more

A big thank you to Avi for helping make GRE studying as painless as possible and still ensure an amazing score. Remembering his strategies, practicing them, and implementing the tips and tricks on test day goes a long way to success. I'm so glad to have gotten a great score and thank Avi for all his help in getting there! read more

This review is way overdue. After a 10yr absence from school, I felt uneasy about taking the quant portion of the GRE. I knew from my first phone consultation with Avi that he was the real deal. I took his GRE prep course and had a noticeable improvement in my scores. While I was taking the course, Avi would make himself available before or after classes to go over any questions that I had. Once I completed the course, he provided me feedback on which topics to focus my study in order to achieve optimal scoring results. On top of test prep information, he was incredibly knowledgeable about the MBA programs that I was interested in and what scores would allow me to be competitive. I would highly recommend Twainstein to anyone who needs help with their test prep. read more

Twainstein was highly recommended to me by a friend and I'm glad I called. After three months of studying with the approach Avi taught me, I was able to increase my score from a 590 to a 680. Previous to Twainstein, I had taken a small course and did months of self studying to no resolve. Even though I studied all of the right topics, I didn't have the knowledge of how to approach the test. Avi's tips and tricks allowed me to study in a way that best resembled the testing environment. Also, Avi understood my strengths and weaknesses and therefore was able to curate a study plan specific to my abilities and learning needs. Thanks Avi for all the help! read more

Update: After my superb experience with Twainstein/Avi for GRE prep, I decided to use Twainstein again for Admissions Consulting. (Discount offered for former students!) The application process is time consuming and daunting so having Avi in your corner is an absolute game changer. Avi takes the time to immerse himself in your story so he can help craft an authentic and distinguishing narrative for your applications. I wholeheartedly trust Avi's guidance and I am positive that he helped propel my applications from overlooked to in the consideration set. read more

If you are trying to decide on a test prep tutor, look no further. I myself was in the same position you are now and something about Twainstein seemed right to me; it seemed like they cared, that there was more attention and commitment to students' success than at a Brand Name test prep company. I initially reached out to see about enrolling in Twainstein's GMAT prep class. When I heard back, I was asked to do a few practice tests to determine my baseline. Based on my results, Avi recommended that I work with him one-on-one instead of enrolling in the class; it would cost less and be more effective. I so appreciated this honesty and knew right then and there that I was making the right decision. My sessions with Avi were incredible. He was always prepared and knew exactly what I needed to work on. We would review and work on problems. He'd help me see the patterns in my mistakes and the types of problems I was struggling the most with. In between sessions, Avi told me exactly what to do. This was the best part about the experience for me: not having to figure out what to study. All I had to do was put all my trust in Avi, do what he said, and the result came. Whenever I was struggling, Avi assured me that it was normal for where I was at and it would start to come together in the following weeks; it sure did! In my initial research for the GMAT, I figured I would need to study for about 12 weeks or so. Avi got me ready in just SEVEN weeks! Once our sessions were over and I underperformed on my first real test (I psyched myself out!), Avi continued to provide me with council and advice; again, I cannot stress how incredible it was to never feel unsure about what/how I was studying. My second time walking into that test center, I was so confident, relaxed and focused. When I clicked that "End Exam" button and it immediately showed my score on the next screen, my jaw nearly hit the floor. Avi was the first person I let know that I crushed the GMAT; there's no way I would have been able to score that high in that amount time without him. Seriously, you can stop your research right now. Contact Twainstein today. You won't regret it. read more

After trudging along using Magoosh for 3 months before I discovered Avi and Twainstein, I was only able to manage a 590 on my mock GMAT. After signing up for GMAT tutoring with Avi, I was able to identify and hone in on my weaknesses and develop a structured and tailored study plan according to my needs. After 5 sessions of 2 hours each with Avi, I was able to increase my score to a 710!!! I was able to save a lot of time and potentially wasted energy, and I have Avi and Twainstein to thank! HIGHLY RECOMMEND. read more

I found Twainstein and Avi through yelp and google search because I very anxious about taking the GMAT exam. Avi spent hours going over all the aspects of the GMAT with me, even giving me homework and other assignments to prepare me for the test. Thanks to Avi and Twainstein I felt confident enough to take the exam and reach a high enough score to apply to an MBA program that I have been eyeing for a long time. Avi additionally helped me with the application process in strategizing and checking the answers and essays I was submitting with the application. I strongly recommend Twainstein and Avi if you are looking to take the GMAT or other exam and applying for masters programs like the MBA. If it would be possible, I would add on more than 5 stars. read more

I reviewed here for GRE Prep (5 stars), and this is review is regarding Avi's MBA Admissions consulting and/or waitlist consulting. He eliminated all of the uncertainty and pain out of the process. After being wait listed from my #1 school, I reached out to Avi for guidance. If it wasn't for him, I would have threw in the towel and gone to my second choice school. My #1-school's recommendation to get off the wait-list was overtly laborious yet opaque with little guarantees. It could be a deflating and confidence crushing process. But thanks to Avi's consulting and strategy, I gained admittance! If I did not consult Avi for his expertise with the process and the school, I would have gone about the process the absolute wrong way. You don't know what you don't know. While it is important to represent your best authentic self (as grad schools will see through BS), there is a roadmap to follow and decorum of communication expected which is not published or conveyed. And each school is truly different in their expectations and culture! ****** In addition, he consults many other current prospective students going through the exact admissions and/or wait-list process at the exact same school. Having access to that un-biased inside information is very valuable. You're paying for research and experience. Avi cared so much about my personal goals, and was extremely responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. In hindsight, he went above and beyond the fee I paid, considering how much time we spent communicating and strategizing (via phone calls and in-person mock interviews and email chains). There are certainly no guarantees for the admissions process. But if you want to pay for a consultant - for a peace of mind to come out of the application process as painless as possible, with your confidence in tact and little regret, you cannot go wrong to use Twainstein! read more

If you're in search of a good GRE course - look no further! Twainstein provides the best GRE course hands down! They are experts who understand exactly what you need to know and focus on in order to do well on the test. They provide simple yet crucial strategies that help you to better identify the question and increase the speed of which it can be answered. Andrew taught the class and his enthusiasm for the content made it much more fun. He was also incredibly patient and nonjudgemental in terms of not understanding a basic concept. Even though i have finished the class, Andrew, Ari and Kasey are still willing to help answer any questions i have or review my essays from practice tests. They truly care about their students. read more

I'm so happy I discovered Twainstein! Avi is one of the only tutors/consultants who actually dedicates time to evaluating your candidacy before you even 'sign up'. Based on my undergraduate school and major along with my current career path, he was able to confidently recommend the GRE over the GMAT. Avi developed a tailored GRE study plan for me based on my strengths and weaknesses, particularly within the quant section. He adjusted my study plan each week in order to plug any holes in my foundation. Our 1-to-1 study sessions were always very productive and I left each session feeling confident rather than defeated. He was very dedicated to ensuring I succeed. Additionally, Avi was a fantastic resource during the Business School application process as well. His method of extracting the personal statement is unique and he was able to help me craft a truly genuine narrative based on my profile. However, what I found most valuable was the mock-interview prep. Each experience really felt like true business school interviews and instilled confidence in me prior to the real deal. Thanks to Avi, I'm beginning to see acceptance letters come through. Thank you Avi for your continued support and guidance as I pursue my academic endeavors! read more

I worked with Avi at Twainstein to improve my GRE score and re-write my resume for MBA programs. I could not have asked for a better experience! Avi was very well acquainted with what business schools are looking for in terms of resumes/essays and he knew all the tricks of the trade for the GRE. In just a 3 hr session (which he actually extended to more like 4 hrs because time is not his priority, YOU are his priority), I was able to boost my GRE from a 322 to a 329. I would highly recommend Avi to anyone that needs advice on how to create an A+ application to business schools or needs a little help with their GRE/GMAT. read more

I have plenty of great things to say, but the big takeaway here is that Avi helped me nail the test scores that ultimately got me into Columbia, probably the proudest achievement of my life. A little background: I graduated from college about 5 years ago and have been making a career transition for the last year or two. I knew that I wanted to attend a well-respected program in the field of politics and international affairs, but was skeptical that it was possible since I didn't have much relevant educational experience in the field. With that in mind, I knew that it all ultimately going to come down to my resume, recommendations, strong essays, and -- most relevant to this review ---- killer GRE scores. Thanks to Avi, I was able to make that last bit happen. I showed him the results of my first solo practice exam, and he drew me a road map of how to make it happen. And while he easily could have had me coming in and paying for months on months of instruction, he assured me I could do it in 6 weeks. My major subject of concern was quantitative reason (i.e. math, a subject that I hardly touched during college outside of a couple core classes), but Avi helped make sense of the concepts that never seemed to stick and, what's more, he understood strategic test-taking: how to maximize your score even if you weren't going to nail every single question. Avi was patient, highly supportive, and really just a cool guy overall. I actually enjoyed learning fro him, and he gave me the confidence to believe that the Ivy League was within my reach, even when it sounded like a total pipe dream. I would highly recommend his services to anybody. Thanks Avi. read more

I am planning to enroll in a masters program at USC but I have been out of undergrad for 11 years and haven't taken a standardized test in 15! I definitely knew I needed to enroll in a prep class, and after a conversation with Avi, I knew this was the right one. I had tons of questions and concerns about the test and the schedule of classes, and Avi was incredibly patient, helpful, and responsive to all of them. His emails to me were both informative and hilarious and the same goes for our phone chats. As it turns out, a few things have come to light about my application process and I didn't need to enroll in the prep class anymore. Even though I had already enrolled and prepaid, Avi was incredibly understanding and offered to refund the full amount. He even offered for me to come to a few classes to check it out, and if I still didn't need to enroll, he would have refunded me in full. This is top notch and very rare customer service. He is not only a good businessman but a good person. If it turns out I do need to re-enroll, there is no doubt I would select Twainstein. Thank you so much for you help and advice Avi, even though I never actually became your student. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it! read more

Twainstein is the BEST. Hands down. Avi is an expert at what he does! I am blown away by level of expertise, support, and patience I received working with Twainstein. Not only did I achieve my targeted GRE score but even greater, Avi helped me realize my full potential. Andrew was my dedicated tutor. He walked me through the study process step-by-step with the upmost patience and clarity. In 3 short months, I was ready and confident to take the GRE. Do not waste anymore time looking elsewhere. Avi is the best there is. I have taken other graduate school exam preparatory courses, and there is absolutely no comparison; Twainstein is far above the competition. I would even say that you would be doing yoruself a disservice by not soliciting Avi's help. Avi's dedication and honesty with me during my preparation for the GMAT was exactly what I needed to feel prepared and confident mentally. Our one-on-one sessions were structured and thorough, and he really took the time to diagnose the things I was doing wrong. With Twainstein, you are getting professionals that truly care about your success. You are not simply another student, nor are you getting a company that is concerned with making money off of you. After preparing for the GMAT for several weeks, I wanted to sign up for a few additional tutoring sessions with Avi to go over a particular area that I had historically been very successful in....just be sure I was maximizing my potential. After spending about an hour or two working through some examples, Avi recommended that I not pursue additional tutoring with him because he believed it was unnecessary based on my performance in this particular section. How many companies would actually turn down additional money because they truly took the time to evaluate your performance and make a recommendation with your best interest in mind? None. I can truly say an investment in Twainstein is an investment in yourself and your future. I would recommend Avi to any student looking to improve a graduate school exam or needing assistance with a graduate school application. Thank you Avi for guidance and support. read more

Working with Twainstein for GMAT prep was one of the more academically satisfactory experiences of my life. I had been out of school for three years before deciding that I was interested in going back to get my MBA, and I had begun prepping on my own. Talk about culture shock. I bought the books, I was taking tests and it was going alright. I figured it was going to be a looooong journey. Luckily, though, my brother was finishing up his undergrad at Pepperdine and Twainstein was working through his school for GMAT Prep. When he ACED his GMAT (seriously, he aced it,) I realized that in favor of "working smart," I needed to amp up my prep. Through my brother's referral, I began working with Twainstein. Avi, my tutor, was able to work with me & my schedule as I was working full time. Twainstein is two things: 1) training for the three sections of the GMAT and 2) most importantly, strategizing with your specific skill set. The strategy I learned was one of the contributing factors to my ultimate "acing" of the GMAT. The practice tests were truly relevant (I had taken so many before that were either way too easy or way too hard) and Avi made me feel at ease with the content. He helped me strategize and identify the questions to power through, the questions to skip, and the questions I previously had overlooked that were "in the bag." My practice test scores increased steadily after every session. I ended up taking the test twice, but the second time was to qualify for a scholarship. I am about to start my third term at my dream school (yay!!) and Avi at Twainstein was a HUGE help. Helpful side note regarding paying for GMAT prep, also: For anyone who is interested in getting a MBA while being fully employed, the cost of tutoring for the GMAT can be deducted entirely on your taxes. Fun fact. :) Now sign up with Twainstein, and go get 'em! read more

I took Avi's GRE class and it was a very comprehensive and engaging course. As the other commentators stated, I have struggled with math so the GRE's quant session seemed daunting. However, Avi's strategy-oriented sessions helped me score very well on the exam. I ended up with a 17 point increase from my first diagnostic score to my actual exam. It is understated how important it is that the person teaching the course is personable. I'm a tutor myself and have taken test prep classes for the ACT so I know crucial it is for a student to have a teacher that is interested in helping his/her students learn. Avi deeply cares about his students and is quick to respond through email. I very rarely write reviews for anything but I know that the product that I received from Avi and Twainstein will forever change my life. read more

This is probably one of the most amazing and honest tutors. I researched many tutors and programs for GRE/GMAT support. When I spoke to Avi he was very honest and supportive with what my goals were. I drove from Santa Clarita to Culver City and every class was well worth it. It's amazing how Avi's strategies and ways of teaching make exams like the GRE less frightening. I highly recommend Avi to anyone that is interested in GRE/GMAT tutoring. There are a lot of programs out there give Twainstein a try before spending countless dollars on other programs! You will definitely see positive results! Thanks Again Avi!! read more

Unlike most of the other reviewers, I have actually never worked with Avi on my GMAT prep. While I am certain it is quite stellar, my review is actually for the Admission Consulting Twainstein offers. After the submission of my application for round 3 of USC Marshall School of Business fulltime MBA program, I had realized a shocking truth! My actual GPA was nowhere as high as I thought! As a matter of fact it was even much lower than the school's median admission GPA (the fact I only took one math class in college didn't help either). While prepping to improve my GMAT score one more time (which I proceeded in scoring my career low), I was pleasantly surprised to receive an interview invitation, but also nervous as hell at the same time. You can probably tell why. "what if they ask me about my low gpa?", "what if they ask about my decent but below median GMAT score?" "what if they ask me about the last GMAT I just took" "what if..." I really wanted to not fail this interview and was in hyper-stress mode. After seeing all the positive reviews, I decided to hit up Twainstein to see if they would offer something that is just Interview Prep, which they did. Honestly, at the time when Avi told me he had a lot of experience working with Marshall admissions, part of me just thought "this guy is bullshitting me with all the marketing schemes"... But after spending 20 min on the phone giving me lots of useful tips and insights on the interviews, I felt immediately this guy knows what he's talking about, and couldn't hurt to give him a try. And I am more than happy with that decision! Avi really does know these interviews inside out! What they may or may not ask based on your background was all as he predicted. However, he does over prepare you since you never know what could happen, so his mock interviews will be quite tough (thats a good thing!). I met with Avi everyday doing either mock interviews or analysis sessions. The feedback and strategies were on point, and by doing the homework he assigns, you can really see your own transformation and confidence boost. More importantly, he really takes the time to make sure that you ARE ready for that big day! When I did the actual interview, it felt so easy to the point I started doubting whether I even needed this interview prep. Don't get me wrong, looking back I would most definitely been a lot more nervous if it had not been Avi's help, hell I would have probably bombed the interview in the process. I have to mention here that what I am most impressed with this prep is the fact that Avi taught me to really understand the interview not as just answering a bunch of questions, but more like a way to utilize every questions fired at you as an opportunity to deliver your centralized stories and talking points. And this gives me a mentality that is not only useful for this admission interview, but for all future interviews in my career (and I know I ll do a lot of that in B School). I just received my admission to Marshall last week, and I really have Avi to thank for that! Highly recommend! Last note: When I found out my interview was scheduled a day later than the original expected date, Avi gave me the extra session without charge so I could be better prepared. You can be sure he is certainly NOT one of those that "do the job, get the money and get out" type! read more

I applied to Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism USC. If it wasn't to Twainstein, I wouldn't go through the process of application, and especially passing GRE. I am a working professional, English is not my first language. When I looked at the test, I thought I will never pass it. But with the help of Twainstein team, Avi and Andrew especially, I reached the desired result on the test and sent out all the papers on time. To say I would not have succeeded taking my GRE without Twainstein would be quite the understatement. Their emphasis on strategy is rather extraordinary. Their curriculum has been crafted by professionals with years of experience and practice. I was scared that the strategy emphasis would take away from content but this was not the case at all. They cover everything you will need to answer any questions found on the GRE both for Verbal and Quantitative (the scarier part), but also for the essays. It is an absolutely AMAZING course and would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone considering taking the GRE for grad school applications. There are tons of materials and courses out there and I'll admit this is the only one I took but as far as I'm concerned, it is the only one you'll need, hands down, without a doubt. Don't think twice. Just go with Twainstein. You won't regret it. read more

Personally, my plan was to raise my quantitative score from 152 to 157 in three weeks (I was not sure if I can do it) and then continue to raise the score to 161 one month later. But, what happened was very helpful for me; I got 159 after the first three weeks instead of 157, and I got my acceptance from USC, and I didn't have to wait for one more semester to apply again. So, you don't have to study more to hit your GRE goal, but you do have to study 'smart.' By having experts (Twainstein) guiding you what to study and how to think about GRE's tricks, you are studying smartly. Even if you think you know what to study, you will need someone who got perfect score and know how to teach and deliver ideas - and this is Avi - :) Twainstein is highly recommended for all who are looking for higher scores in short terms, and you can rely on them; they are trustworthy (based on my personal experience) read more

WOW! WOW! WOW! Avi is absolutely unbelievable in the way he runs the course. From the second you walk into the room, you are greeted with a warm, witty smile that makes you feel comfortable. Avi makes studying for the GRE less stressful and fun because of the methods and tactics that he teaches you. He genuinely cares for each and every one of his students and wants them to succeed to the best of their abilities. Anytime I had a question or was having trouble with the course work, Avi was always available through email and would get back very quickly. Other than being there for his students and being welcoming, the course is set up for you to tackle the GRE in the best way possible. He dissects the information and teaches his students to not worry too much about what the test is necessarily asking for. For me, personally, this was huge and helped me calm my nerves. There are not enough positive things I can say about Avi and Twainstein, and if you are on the fence on whether or not to join this program, do it. When I started the course, my goal was to achieve a GRE score high enough for a top 20 MBA program. At the time, that felt like a stretch goal for me. With Avi's extremely effective course and expert guidance, I was able to blow that goal away and achieved a score high enough for a top 10 program (something that seemed very out of reach for me). Over the eight week course, my GRE score increased by 20 points, and I can genuinely say I could not have done it without Twainstein. Thank you Avi! read more

More than just a clever name! After hearing horror stories about other test prep companies, I decided to check these guys out. Right out of the gate I felt different and lowered my guard and increased my vivacity. No guilting me to sign up for packages or making me feel like if I don't get tutoring I will FAIL the GRE (and my life). Everyone I spoke to on the phone was supportive and helpful, offering me resources to assess where I'm at and diagnostic tools for self-assessment before they spoke about their own courses and tutoring. Smooth operators! I opted for the private tutoring since I am a good one-on-one learner and crave the individual attention(?) Word of caution: this company ain't cheap. In fact, they are pricey but it is just that test prep tutoring is expensive across the board. Trust me, I did the research. No regrets, no complaints. My tutor, Andrew was an absolute master, plus I felt like he cared too, which is so huge because I am starving for friendship. Final result was a huge improvement from where I started and I can look my mother in the eye again! read more

Avi is an amazing teacher and an awesome person with endless patience and kindness towards his students and goes above and beyond (even after the class was done) to make sure I achieved the score I was looking for. Entering Avi's class I was very insecure and embarrassed about my math (even about very basic stuff). Never did Avi ever embarrass, call me out, or laugh at me like other teachers had. Rather, he sought to get to know me and my learning style the best to see how best he could help me improve. This comfort in asking questions and requesting help was one of the biggest a reasons that my scores continuously improved leaps and bounds weekly. I cannot sing his praises enough and I STRONGLY encourage anyone debating between prep courses to GO WITH AVI. This is the sign you've been looking for!! The GRE obviously isn't fun but Avi is fully aware of that (and agrees) and does everything in his power to get you prepared as best as possible (while also staying realistic with his students and being accommodating and flexible of their needs and study schedules). Additionally, after having several years of experience in the trade, Avi knew and was very clear and focused on what will be on the test and what we need to know, always making sure that we weren't learning things for no reason but rather learning how to finish the test successfully and not learning random math just for the sake of it. Avi keeps the class sizes small and gave us each very individualized attention and help. He was also kind enough to always stay after class and answer questions and also to email me to check-in on how my studies were progressing even after the class had ended. As another plus, Avi's office is really centrally located, clean, and comfortable and there's always a lot of free parking right outside the office. I was lucky to work with Avi who is teacher who consistently showed me so much care, flexibility, and kindness and did truly everything in his power (and more) to accommodate and help me especially when I needed extra help or had a difficult study schedule. There's really no reason to ever study with anyone else. Avi and the whole Twainstein company are truly the best and I'm so grateful to have had to chance to work with Avi on my GRE!! I'm a HUGE fan of Avi and his whole team and recommend them strongly for anyone who is looking to prep for the GRE!!! This isn't just some fake review these were my true experiences! The key to success isn't being innately good at math or English, it's about working with Avi!!!! Thank you, Avi. I couldn't have done it without you!!! -N read more

I signed up for private one-on-one tutoring for my GRE. Avi was extremely receptive and responsive to my needs. He followed up multiple times and made sure I was satisfied with my services. Andrew was my tutor. I highly recommend him! He was extremely efficient and knowledgeable. He set a plan for us and we accomplished it every week. The key to getting the most out of your sessions is to come prepared with questions. I did this and felt like we really got through everything I needed to take my GRE. Andrew explains concepts very fluidly and was always patient with my questions (there were a lot)! With Andrews help, I was able to clarify concepts that were always daunting for me. Thank you Avi and Andrew! read more

These services are as good as it gets. Twainstein will not waste your time and when it comes to studying you will get the most out of every minute you pay for. I took the GRE once before trying to fill my head with vocabulary words and relearn mathematical concepts from high school which had marginal results. I was taught me how to strategically take the test and achieve a high score by working on and strengthening my weaknesses while being given insights on how the test would be administered, how the test will try and 'trick' you, how to tackle tough questions in a time-efficient manner, etc. Avi keeps it completely professional from introduction to test day and follow-up. I would recommend This service to anyone taking the GRE. read more
