Scrambled egg white platter

Charming is the best way to describe the ambiance of TW Howell's. From the street it looks like a small home. Tucked inside is maybe 8-10 tables so if you are stopping in on the weekend, prepare for a brief wait but they turn tables quickly and we felt the 15 minutes were well worth our time. The menu is small and offers the standard fare. Even better is the specials board. Make sure you take a gander because there are some real gems written in chalk letters. The grilled oatmeal sounded stellar and looked amazing. A neighboring table ordered it and I was prepared to follow in their footsteps until I learned of the orange marmalade stuffed French toast. It sounded like a winner so I went for it. Upon digging in I really appreciated the creaminess of the mascarpone and crispy grilled edges of the toast. Great textures. Nice flavor but seemed to lack that any strong citrus flavor. It was muted behind all that mascarpone cream. They could definitely adjust the ratio to give off more Orange but I really enjoyed it. It was in good company with the piping hot coffee that our server kept fresh and topped off for me. Definitely an establishment I'd return to again and again.

Breakfast Burrito

Just ok. Have eaten here several times before and was always impressed with the food, Had the breakfast burrito as shown this time and found it very bland. It was supposed to have bacon inside but it was so few and far between it was undetectable. Home fries had little to no seasoning. Coffee and service was the best part of the meal. Won't be back

Hole in the wall but great place

My daughter goes to school in South Jersey so when I come to see her I like to take her to brunch. Each time I do I like to find the little, off the beaten trail places. TW Howell's was just that, & quite the find (thanks to Yelp)! The place is pretty small with about 10 counter seats & a few tables. It looks fairly worn inside but that is all part of the charm. You can tell this is one of those local places where everyone knows each other, however we did not feel out of place at all. We were immediately acknowledged by a very pleasant woman (presumably the owner). They have an impressive menu as well as blackboard specials. I decided on the honey chicken salad sandwich & my daughter, the crabmeat eggs benedict. To say the food was delicious was an understatement. Although the portions are quite huge, we both finished them. Prices are incredibly reasonable, especially considering the portions. I will definitely be returning in the future!

The workers are extremely friendly and the coffee service to go have been quick. They have a wide variety of different coffee and tea selections. I always enjoy an iced coffee or latte. I also like to venture and try one of their specialty drink. This time we tried their strawberry's and cream latte and tiramisu cream top drinks. They were tasty, but they fell slightly short of expectations. I will say the strawberry coffee combination didn't mesh well and the tiramisu drink was mostly ice and cream topping. Nonetheless, my wife and I still enjoyed our beverages. I have yet to try any of their food except for their cookies. The cookies have been delicious, soft with a little crunch on the outside. Tried an oatmeal butter cookie and it was heavenly. I keep looking forward to trying and enjoying the new specials and drinks at this spot!

It has a small‑town, cozy vibe with booths and tables that make you feel right at home. I've been here several times and everything I've tried has been consistently fresh and delicious. Most recently, I ordered a garden salad with grilled chicken, even though I originally asked for a side salad, what came out was a huge, vibrant plate full of fresh veggies and perfectly cooked chicken. It was absolutely amazing. I've also had their tuna & turkey sandwiches, BLT and subs & all excellent. But my absolute favorite is the Souvlaki (Greek) Salad. It's outstanding every single time. I usually add grilled shrimp or chicken and you just can't beat it. It's huge, flavorful and always satisfying. They offer a wide variety of breakfast and lunch options, including vegan choices, and there's plenty of parking since it's in a plaza. Friendly staff, great food and a welcoming atmosphere, definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

The one time we went for the World Cup and they opened early in the morning to catch the games live and provided everyone with a free breakfast buffet. The draft beer selection is great and they have a nice variety of wines and specialty cocktails. The service this time was unfortunately lacking, although the server was very pleasant and efficient as much as he could be. The problem is that he was the only one serving in a very crowded table area. I was going to give four stars for this review because of the service, but I know from past experience that this was not the norm.

From the outside, the place looks like it gave up on glamour some time ago. No chrome spaceship, no neon promises. Just a building that knows what it is. Inside, however, it's 100% Jersey diner. A board announcing pie and pudding as if they were breaking news. Booths to the left. Counter seating for those who wish to face their breakfast directly. A dining room to the right for people who prefer a little distance from their eggs. My wife ordered eggs over easy with corned beef hash. I chose cream chipped beef over toast, a dish that has survived longer than many empires for reasons that become clear when you eat it. Both came with home fries and coffee. Everything tasted exactly as it should. The eggs behaved. The hash was honest. The chipped beef was comforting in the way only something slightly excessive can be. The coffee kept coming. The service was attentive and friendly without hovering like guilty conscience. We paid thirty five dollars with tip, which in this era feels almost like a mathematical error in our favor. Nothing here will astonish you. But it will feed you well, send you back out into the world a little steadier, and sometimes that is the highest calling a diner can have. Four stars feel right. Not because anything here changed my understanding of breakfast, but because it did't try to.
