Tom catered so many events for me this past year. He did my bridal shower, rehearsal dinner and even my wedding! He is a great guy and let's you customize nearly anything and add whatever you want to your own menu. The best part is that he is extremely affordable! My husband and I frequently dine here for breakfast, lunch, or dinner and we have NEVER had a bad meal. Along with their fabulous dining food, Chef Tom catered our wedding on 10/14/17 and went ABOVE and BEYOND! We cannot possibly say enough wonderful things about Chef Tom and his crew. I could go on and on and on about how perfect they help make our day. From the first moment we met with Chef Tom, he made us feel comfortable and confident that TW Howell's was the right pick. From a completely customized menu, then a sudden change of heart and total menu change, dealing with rentals, other vendors, set up before the wedding, we are SO appreciative of the love and care that Chef Tom puts into his craft. During our wedding weekend, I was in constant contact with Chef Tom and even during a table crisis, he kept me calm and reassured that everything would work out perfectly, and it did! Chef Tom and his crew helped set up, break down, and of course, serve the best wedding meal. Everything was homemade, fresh, and delicious! People are still telling us how much they enjoyed our wedding food! Chef Tom & his crew made sure that my husband & I were well fed and taken care of throughout the day and it made a HUGE difference! We were served appetizers before the ceremony, during cocktail hour servers made sure to find us, and our dinner was made and kept warm for us! Love this great breakfast/lunch place! The staff is so friendly, you feel like you're part of the family. Their eggs Benedict is always a favorite of mine. Breakfast burritos and soups are wonderful, especially their crab bisque. This is my go to breakfast place and I love trying new dishes. Their specials are always on the wall so you can try something different. It's a small place so I recommend coming earlier for breakfast or just allow time to wait, it's never a long wait. You can sit in your car if need be and not miss your spot. I've brought family and friends here and we will be coming back again together!! read more

This place is fantastic. Pancakes were cooked perfectly. The wait staff was super efficient and attentive. My coffee cup never went empty! In some of the smaller cafe type restaurants, you often find they are short on staff but not at Howell's. Going back again soon to try their famous grilled oatmeal I hear they have a different type every week Update: was there this Saturday and it was awful. Pancakes flatter than a manhole cover and rubbery. My wife's eggs Benedict were cold and the ham was supposed to be Canadian bacon but was a cut up ham steak. Wow! What a delightful place. It has a very homey feel, plenty of locals, clean and the food is awesome. We had corn beef hash skillet and eggs Benedict with Canadian bacon. Delicious. I love my breakfast food, so this place seem like a cool spot to get my breakfast fix. This is a tiny spot, but luckily they have outside seating. My fiance and I decided to sit putside since it was so nice out. Our waitress was extremely nice and willing to chat with us. I decided on the cereal french toast and a side of scrapple. The french toast was great, and I think it was encrusted with Apple Jacks. My scrapple was forgotten about, but got it promptly when I made our waitress aware. This used to be our go to place for a great breakfast, but I'm sad to say we will not be returning. Today the food there was subpar. My BLT sandwich had 2 slices of bacon on the entire sandwich. The service which previously was great, was pathetic. Literally had to get up and go to the counter and get our refills or ask our waitress for anything. Sad to see this place take such a drive. I had heard from others that it gone down hill, I just didn't believe them, they were absolutely right. Looks like we'll be searching for a new place after 6 years of going here. read more

With 2 waitresses in a small place, and off peak 3 tables total ,ran by my ice tea empty multiple times without offering a refill until I asked. At the recommendation of a friend we took some other friends to TW Howells. Not only did we enjoy our breakfast, but the family-like atmosphere was very enjoyable. I took the time to read the story on the back of the menu of how they came to open the restaurant and that made it even better. Although I haven't been here in a while, I used to work right around the corner. Breakfast is phenomenal here. Love the grandpa's hash skillet. awesome, hearty, super filling. just amazing. I get with poached eggs and it is heaven. Also love the crab bisque. so much crab! they are very flexible and will make whatever you want. One day I was in the mood for a shrimp po boy. not on the menu, but they were more than happy to cook one up for me. I used to get them to cater breakfast for my office. If I recall, I would spend about $110 and the amount of food for that $ was amazing. pancakes, bacon, sausage, homefries, toast. Just a ton of food. I had maybe 13 people in the office and all ate their fill, with food left over. I have to get back there, because it is a great place. read more

Gave it a try for breakfast with my wife and wasnt a fan. Pancakes were undercooked and mushy. Price was average certainly not cheap. My wife ordered the "fresh squeezed daily" orange juice, which was very clearly not fresh squeezed but rather a not from concentrate oj like tropicana. Dont get me wrong i love trop. , but thats not from concentrate, not fresh squeezed daily. When i feel deceived as a consumer even if its over a glass of oj it just bugs me. read more

I was really excited for this place because it has great prices and good star rating. When I got there I thought it was super quaint. I loved how small it is! But when I got inside the waitress was too into a conversation with what I thought was a customer and then realized was a coworker to say hello. Love this place! The servers Ann Marie and Debbie are the best. Their specials are to die for and change weekly. They are set to reopen the bar formally know as the Avenue in Egg Harbor City as Howells Pub. I can't wait. Their catering is also amazing. I can't say enough good things about this business. I have eaten breakfast here many times and the food is always fresh and tasty but I did not learn until recently that they also do catering I ordered a tray of chicken parm for an event and it was delicious! Highly recommend and I am looking to trying their lunch and dinners.! read more

I was amazed how expensive this place was? The bathroom is right next to the kitchen and if someone has to do business , the smell goes right toward your table, pretty nasty, The food tastes ok and the chef is cool but for some reason I get diarrhea every time I eat there. blahhh read more
