I have been using Tuyana for over 10 years and I wouldn't use anyone else. She does the best facials. My skin has never looked or felt as nice since I started using Tuya. She includes absolutely everything in your facials And takes her time to examine your skin prior and after treatment. I also use Tuya for my micro needling and microdermabrasion. Absolutely loved coming here for a microdermabrasion, vitamin c mask, and facial massage package. Tuyana has such a kind personality with gentle hands. She does a consultation beforehand to ask about your skin type, allergic reactions, rx products used, etc. I have some dark spots from a major breakout, so she was kind enough to include some things such as a special light treatment and extractions to address that. The ambience of the spa is very relaxing and chic. She's very attentive and makes sure that you aren't feeling any pain. She even made sure to apply sunscreen at the end to protect my skin after the microdermabrasion. I ended up loving the service, so I purchased a package of 3 so I can go once a month. I loved how she wasn't pushy at all about buying her products, because that's happened to me several times at other spas. Instead, she gives specific direction of what kinds of products to use and avoid (in my case I had lots of clogged pores so she taught me to stay away from heavy oils - which I currently use often). I love this spa! I was looking for a place to get a facial on Groupon and I found Tuya Spa. I was hooked from my first appointment. Left the spa feeling like a million bucks after my facial. She will do a short consultation before your visit to determine what you are looking for. The extractions are really great to keep my face clear, and the micro makes my skin smooth and soft. To finalize, the mark and face massage really help with the glow and moisture of my skin, and you also get a massage while the mask is working it's magic. I received a gift certificate to get an essential facial for my birthday. I've only done maybe three facials in my life. I have oily acne prone skin, and I always feel a bit uncomfortable having to be bare skin and have someone "work on" me. Tuyana started with a microdermabrasion, which didn't hurt at all, a mask with steam along with a neck and arm massage, extraction, then a vitamin C mask. Oh and the facial massage. What a great gift! I sincerely needed this. I never thought of being someone to get facials regularly, but now that I've been to this little gem, I will be making a point to treat myself like it's my birthday every month! When a friend asked me how it went, my simple response was, "absolutely lovely." Tuyana is amazing! She is professional, personable and gentle. She has the hands of an angel. My goodness! I get that they would be soft doing the line of work that she does, I mean maybe it was the oil she used, but it's not just that, it's the pressure she applies and the movement; it seems intentional and healing. That facial massage was...PURE. HEAVEN. Above all, I'm so happy that my face feels so soft! What a difference to have all the dead skin removed. Facial: It was ok facial, not great and not bad. if you are looking for someone who is an expert in skin, this might not be the place. I can't say extractions were that good, rather ok on a borderline with mediocre. I asked for "high frequency" and instead i was treated with ultrasonic machine. when i asked her, she didn't know what high frequency is and was pretty sure that what she did "ultrasonic" that is - was that. That was a shocker, as it means she isn't very well educated in facial/spa industry. I wasn't upset that much, as ultrasonic was good for my skin anyway, but i am cautious trusting my face to someone who doesn't know the difference. I also got a chemical peel, a light one, once again - she didn't know much about chemical peels, except for the training that was given to her by the brand. Which once again, a red flag for me - i won't trust someone who doesn't take an interest in what they do. Space: tiny, right next to (or rather a room inside of) pilates studio. so it's a little noisy, as you can hear people working out, so it's like you're in the studio itself. Service: lady was nice, polite. it seems like she runs this business as a hobby, rather than a passion for skincare. Prices? they are ok, i would say even a little higher than they should be. If you live nearby and want a quick regular facial to re-fresh, sure go in. If you are seeking to treat your skin, i suggest to find a more experienced person. read more

I bought a groupon a few months ago for a facial and a peel OR microdermabration. This is definitely not a spa (it's a room inside a pilates studio) BUT her working space is CLEAN and very RELAXING. At least it was for me at the time I got my facial done. I believe she did very thoroughly extractions on my face considering my skin's conditions. She explained that because I had some acne at that time, I was not a candidate for a microdermabration and that I would benefit from a peel. She offered me two types of peels: A light one and a stronger one (of course she mentioned the names, but I can't remember them now.) The light peel was included in my groupon, the stronger one would be an extra fee. I've had never gotten a peel before, so I was very skeptical and maybe even scared about getting one. So I decided to go for the light one just to see how it goes and take it from there for the future. I felt that she didn't take it very well because she seemed uncomfortable/ not happy (I don't want to say upset) and reinforced the fact that I would benefit from the stronger one. I understand she knows what she is talking about, but I think she should also understand that I was new to that experience. This made me uncomfortable and it's the reason I'm taking off a star. Other than that, I think she's knowledgeable and the results are on point. I wanted to come back but she mentioned she'll be out of town and then I was out of town and blah blah blah, but I will be coming back since I was happy with the results. read more

I've been getting facials from the owner for a number of years now. She is great with extractions, as well as peels. I usually get microderm and an alpha beta peel which she has ready. I think the location could be bigger but Id rather go to someone who knows what they are doing in a small face than get a bad facial at a huge spa. I treated myself to a facial and microdermabrasion today, and it was more than worth it. First off, the location is very convenient since there is parking. During my facial there was relaxing music on, and I felt transported away from my everyday stress. The massage during the facial was perfect. I didn't find the microdermabrasion painful at all, like a gentle vacuuming of my face. And my skin felt amazingly soft and smooth afterwards. All the products used are high quality.
