My fiance and I had a color scheme for our wedding that we both thought was going to be a pretty big hassle to obtain. We pretty much knew exactly what we wanted, but didn't have much luck finding it online. We needed 3 different colored vests in a linen material with pockets. I've always disliked the look of a stiff vest. We work in the Morristown area and always saw "Cozy Tuxedos" around South St. We decided to give them a try. From the second we walked in, we were met with attitude. The guy who helped us (who we later found out owned the place) was basically telling us that we would never find what we were looking for. We should settle with what he had. He had a lot of different colored vests, but none had pockets. The more I asked questions about what he had in stock, the more he seemed to talk down to us and basically insult us by scoffing at what we wanted. We finally had enough and walked out. I regret saying "thank you" before leaving. My fiance said that she had heard of this place called Tuxton that was next to the back entrance of Century 21. We found a space, walked in, and were met by a guy named Scott. We told him what we were looking for, but held back details so we wouldn't get shot down again. The more we described our vision, the more he offered suggestions. He had every color we were looking for, with matching pocket squares. We were having such a shockingly amazing experience that I decided to go for broke. I needed a full suit in a chocolate brown color. I haven't been able to find it in any store I went to. I barely had a chance to finish my sentence before he had one in his hand. It was perfect, but it was his floor model and would have to be ordered from his warehouse. When I heard that, I thought to myself "Oh man, here comes the catch," He made a call, and told me to come back tomorrow and he'll have everything I wanted. I honestly couldn't believe the experience I was having. Not only did Scott know his stuff like a pro, but he was so polite and fun to work with as we tossed ideas back and forth. There was a moment when the woman at the warehouse was asking Scott what my pants size was. He looked at me, thought for 2 seconds and told her a size. It was like a guy at a carnival that who guessed my pants size exactly right. This... guy... knows... his... stuff! I still haven't told you the best part. The stuff he sells is some high quality material. After arranging to pick up 3 colored vests, 4 pocket squares, and a chocolate brown suit, we started talking about price. He gave me a number that was about $300 less than what I expected to pay. I was able to use the money I didn't spend there on other wedding projects. There's no other place you need to go if you're looking for a great suit store. Whether you have an idea of what you want to buy or if you are confused and don't know what to get, go there. Scott knows his stuff, won't put you down for your ideas (like other places), and is so friendly that you'll forget he's selling you something. I hate wearing formal suits. I've never written a review for a business before, but felt compelled to share my experiences with Scott and Tuxton over the past ten years. Let me start off by saying Scott, the owner, is genuine, professional, accommodating, and makes you feel like you are dealing with a friend/family member. His prices are comparable to other business chains, like Men's Warehouse, but with a small business, personal feel. Scott truly cares about you and understand you are visiting his shop for some of the most important days of your life. My experience with Tuxton started as a senior in high school where Scott fit me for a tuxedo that I rented for prom. A few years later, a friend of mine decided to go to Tuxton for his wedding tux's. During this process, I was able to talk to Scott more and see him as a professional. I shared with him that I wanted to do suits for my wedding, at this point I was not engaged, and he told me to come see him when it was time to look at suits and he would take care of me. When the day came, the suits that I picked out were incredible. I have about 10 groomsman (big family) and the majority of us received compliments by our separate tailors about the quality of fabric/material. Aside from the quality and how sharp all of the guys looked, he continued to give suggestions and offer guidance while we were trying to make decisions. He made the whole process so easy, which was great because I have groomsman all over the country. I honestly could not say enough about Scott and Tuxton. For those of you who made the decision to read this whole post, you will not be disappointed. He is a small business owner who cares about his customers because he understands you are going to him for some of the biggest days of your life. We were referred to work with Tuxton (and Scott, the owner) by a good friend who had a wedding a few months before ours. For our wedding, we had roughly 50 people traveling in from out of town including all 5 groomsmen. We were originally looking at the big box retailers like Jos A Bank and Men's Warehouse but felt that the suit quality and service was too poor - felt like something you'd wear to high school prom. We went with Scott and Tuxton because of the quality of his suits - they are far better than what you'd find from a big box store. On top of that, Scott is very passionate about making sure that your suits look and fit correctly which we very much appreciated. When you spend the kind of money we were spending on photography and videography, you want the pictures to look good and Scott was extremely helpful in ensuring that. I will mention (as I've read other comments here) that Scott is very passionate about his work and some folks may not necessarily appreciate his approach especially those who are not particularly concerned with the little details that go into looking right. Scott is also a one-man operation so it's important to understand that he may not always be immediately available however he always made it a point to call us back and resolve any questions or issues that we had. Lastly, Scott made the suit rental return very easy on our group by allowing us to leave our suits at the front desk of the hotel we stayed in and he later went and picked them up for us. This was extremely helpful since a few of my groomsmen had to catch early flights out and would not have been able to return the suit to Tuxton during their normal store hours. I had an outstanding experience with Tuxton Formalwear in Morristown, thanks to Scott's professionalism and expertise. He made sure my tuxedo fit perfectly and looked fantastic for my wedding. Scott even allowed my groomsmen to be measured at different locations, which was incredibly convenient since not everyone could make it to Morristown. We had a last-minute issue with my dad's vest, which he was measured for at Men's Wearhouse, and Scott immediately arranged for a replacement to be delivered to his store. I needed a Tuxedo for a 1920's themed wedding on New Year Eve. Yes, I know, crazy, who does that! Apparently my friends! Before we went to Tuxton, we did the typical visit to Men's Warehouse and other similar places for our wedding party and grooms tuxes. In each, we found a limited selection of tuxes to see and none to fully try on - how can you be expected to order your tux without ever seeing it?! After that, a friend told us about Tuxton and we couldn't be happier we went there. Scott, the owner, gives a personal experience to each and every customer. He brought in styles and sizes that he thought we would like and my husband was able to try everything on, including vests in all colors and patterns. Scott gives the royal treatment and doesn't let you do anything - he adjusts your tie and buttons as you try on each suit. I was getting married at a hotel nearby and I used their services for tuxedos for myself as well as the two fathers and the groomsmen. Pretty much everyone in the wedding party was from out of town so it wasn't really possible to get fittings or adjustments in-store, so they got measured in their respective hometowns and then called the measurements in to the Tuxton owner, Scott. 2 days before the big day, we came to pick up the tuxedos and realized there were some fitting problems. Scott immediately rectified the situation and had everyone refitted and the replacements delivered within a matter of hours. Met Scott at a bridal show at our venue, we were impressed from our first meeting. We have so far used him for our wedding, and referred at least 4 other weddings to him and counting. Took very good care of us, keeping us up to date with timelines (my tuxedo style was not available yet when I first chose it). We will continue to refer people to him, can't imagine having a better experience anywhere else. I had an issue with my vest at final fitting and he had one the next day ready for me. We needed last minute help at out high school to find a tuxedo for a student the day of the senior prom. Within 30 minutes Scott had the student in his store and he was able to get him fitted with a tuxedo from top to bottom. He looked great and mom was in tears. Too many experiences like this go unnoticed and it would have been easy and understandable for Scott to say he had nothing available but he worked his "magic" and made this event a special and memorable one and for this young man and his family at 1:00 pm on the day of the prom. I've lived in Morristown for most of my life and never know this place was here. We started out calling Scott to see if he had tan suits for adults and kids, the age range was 45 to 6 years old, and we needed 6 of them. Scott said come in, and I'll show you what I've got. And two days later he had a sample for us to look at. It was exactly what we were looking for. We came in about 3 weeks before the wedding for measurements. My husband needed a last minute tux rental for a Saturday night event. We thought there would be no way that we could do a "same day" tux rental, but gave Scott a call to see. He was amazing. I was the best man for a wedding nearby, but the rental tux that another groomsman picked up for me didn't fit at all. Tuxton came to the rescue by letting us rent one from them the morning of the wedding (at a much cheaper cost than the other place too). They even agreed to pick up the tux at the wedding venue (an inn) afterwards on Monday since they're closed on Sunday and I would be leaving town before the end of the weekend.
