Take out only with a small area for outdoor seating in a slightly sketchy plaza. But the pizza is SO worth it. Really thin crust yet not soggy and stays intact. The pepperoni pizza was the best, margharita a close second. Highly recommend for the most authentic pizza we've had in Nashville!

We were disappointed, I must say after reading the prior reviews. First thing, I don't like sitting outside in a parking lot (under canopy), and in the rain. Seats were all wet and wind blowing the sides into us. Pizza was good, and you can tell the ingredients were good quality. The chew in the crust was great but too much cornmeal I guess? Also it was too thin for me and floppy. Every first bite of each slice, the cheese slid off and all I had was dough after that. Didn't like this at all. Ragu tagliatelle pasta was good but the Ragu was a little sweet. Business was good here, give it a try, it just wasn't for us. As for being one of Yelp's top 100 places to eat, I disagree.

This place is absolutely FANTASTIC! I went to both locations- equally delicious. I love the Hermitage location because it is there that I had the pleased meeting the family- Giovanna, her mamma and her brother. They stopped cooking and chatted with me until I felt like la familia. Must try: the eggplant parm is some of the best we ever had! The arancini balls are to die for ! We loved it so much, that we came back the next day! It was pizza time: the Parma(arugula, and prosciutto) and the potato pie was exceptional. The pesto on the gnocchi was plate licking! Just go - and go again! Thank you for some downright awesome eats!! And for the kindness.

Pizza is hands down 5 s! Authentic and flavorful, classic and simple, this pizza stands up. We had the soppressata pie, and the pesto gnocchi dish. The gnocchi is gummy. I think it suffered from sitting on the counter while our pizza was being made. The sauce was very tasty, but I will think twice about ordering pasta there since this is primarily take out with a few tables outside. It was too chilly to eat there the night we visited. We also had the cannoli. Good, but the shell suffers from being prefilled. A thin layer of chocolate on the inside of the shell would fix that right up. I hear they are moving, so we gotta get it while it is close. But, I truly hope they will keep just a pizza place here and maybe serve the pastas from a sit down location.

First heard of this restaurant three years ago. Because of the long distance drive from our house south of Nashville we hadn't made it out to visit. Finally decided to make the truck and it was worth it. We went with the expectation that we would have to order to go and sit outside in their picnic tables. Thankfully, the rain had stopped by time we sat down to eat. The menu had a great variety of pasta's pizzas and salads. We ordered several pizzas and two different pastas. The cream gnocchi was delicious. The pizzas were great too. The crust is especially tasty. The staff making the food are from Italy and are speaking Italian while they're making it. I we are ever in northeast Nashville again we will definitely stop by and order some Italian food. The neighborhood this is located in isn't especially inviting and it's next-door to a sports bar, but it is still worth the visit.

I really enjoyed this pizza! It reminded me of the pizza I had while I was in southern Italy. One signature piece is how light and fluffy the crust is. It's not too dense and has a good amount of bubbles. This was something I really appreciated about the pizza in Italy. We ordered two pizzas, the Diavolo and Norma which were pepperoni and eggplant respectively. The pepperoni tasted like salami and were extremely flavorful. The eggplant was perfectly cooked and crispy. My only complaint was they listed ricotta as an ingredient in the Norma pizza and I didn't taste it as much as I would have liked. Lastly I appreciated their heated out door seating area and that they allow dogs, but I was a bit confused by the service. They operate as a takeout place which is totally cool, but the fact they had tables made me feel like they'd offer beverages or water to customers. Also bring out plates and napkins as well, but none of this happened. Service was a bit lacking but if you are in the area! I'd recommend checking this place out.

Though unassuming from its exterior, there is some serious culinary excellence taking place at Tutti Da Gio. We kept it simple & ordered two Margherita pizzas over the phone, and they were ready within 15 minutes. Directly beside the take-out only restaurant they've set up several picnic tables, some even tented; a nice effort considering there is no indoor seating. Then we dug in ! Between three people, we polished off two entire pizzas with ease. Every aspect of the pie was perfectly executed, but the crust was the shining star - some of the most flavorful I've ever had. The simplicity of the pizza is what I really admire. The light application of sauce and cheese allows every ingredient to sing: a note a basil here, a note of acid there, all supported by the strong backing vocals of the crust. It's worth the trip off the beaten path to try this place. Tutti Da Gio is a triumph!

Great little pizza place. It's pretty much to-go only. They do have an outside eating area if you wish. I ordered the Vulcano salad, side of Burrata, and a Capricciosa pizza. The salad was basic with a few added ingredients. Red onions, cucumbers, Kalamata olives, and capers. I had them hold the tomatoes. But the real hero of this salad is their house dressing. It was AMAZING!!! I ordered the large which was the size of a standard take out box. Probably big enough for 2 people. But I ate it all anyway LOL. The side of Burrata was delicious! Burrata is one of my favorite cheeses. It was simply just the ball of cheese and I ate it like that. I should have added it to my salad. Next time I'll do that for sure. For my pizza I ordered the Capricciosa. It was a little different than I am used to. The prosciutto had more of a ham taste and texture. But overall the pizza was very good and I would certainly order it again. The crust was perfect for me. A little chewy while crisp and burnt flakes here and there. Absolutely how I think a pizza should be cooked. Wood-fired oven as well. Pizza shouldn't be cooked any other way!!! The staff was friendly and worked fast. They told me it would be about 30 min for my order and it was ready in just under 15 min. Great job, guys! Much appreciated since I was starving and was taking my food back to my hotel to eat it. Next time I might try the Diavola pizza as they said it was their most popular. Or I might try the pastas as they all sounded good. Guess I'll need to make a few more visits to try it all.

I very rarely find a place where the ambiance is so bad it takes away from the food. Unfortunately this is it. I write this not with joy but with hopes that this business will change. You have a lot of strange processes that are not welcoming nor or they peaceful or inviting. You say order your food then go outside out of the store we will bring it. Your servers/order takers are not welcoming, warm, and offensive. I suggest you put a Togo window. On the building and build a place on the Side where patrons can rest or eat.

This place really is a take out order establishment. There is no indoor seating. They do have an outdoor seating area with canopies and tables dogs are welcome. It's a small store front with a very attentive staff and tasty food. I ordered a caprese salad; a margarita pizza and asked for a slight substitution on the gnocchi pesto. I subbed in spaghetti noodles. The food was fantastic. The pesto was very creamy and the noodles al dente. The caprese was enough for 4 (2 of us split it as our main course). I was visiting my daughter who will definitely go again I will go the next time I'm in town!! read more

Stopped in for dinner tonight and shared the 4 cheese gnocchi and Parma pizza (prosciutto and arugula) and really enjoyed it. The pizza was fresh and tasty with a crisp crust that we really enjoyed dipping in the gnocchi sauce. The staff was very friendly and the prices were reasonable. Wow. If you're looking for authentic Italian food. This. Is. It. No indoor seating but they have outdoor tables and I believe are mostly known for doing take out at the moment. I got the margarita pizza and my boyfriend got the pepperoni. This pizza was extremely fresh, had the perfect amount of grease, and you could tell they know how to make a fantastic pizza. Will gladly be back and I'm intrigued to try their spaghetti and meatballs which I hear is also amazing. The staff I assume were all speaking Italian which also made me feel like I was transported to Italy when I walked in! 10/10! read more

Yep, it's as good as everyone says it is. You order inside at a counter, but sit outside to eat or take it to go. They cook what you order so it took 20ish minutes. Everything we tried was excellent, even the salad. Way too full to try the dessert, but they looked good. Very friendly service too. read more

Normally I don't review a restaurant till I've had it more than once. But today was an exception. As I've been wanting to try this place out since opening. The owner and Chef Giovanna was an absolute light of the establishment with a warm welcomes and amazing authentic Italian cuisine. The food is some of the best Italian food I've had since my trip to Rome Italy. It's one of the most authentic places in Nashville. Although currently it's Take-Out only, and they do have outdoor patio seating. It's worth it for the made fresh dishes. The food is prepared to order so service might be a bit slow when they're busy. But when I tell you it's worth the wait. It's worth the wait. Don't be dumbfounded on the outside of the restaurant it doesn't look like much. But once you try this place. You'll understand why. So next time your craving Italian food. Search Tutti da gio and come try some amazing food that will sure to beat. Until next time!Arrivederci! read more

Little hole in the wall authentic Sicilian. Absolutely worth the drive if you aren't close. The best Margherita pizza I've ever had. The sauce is phenomenal, I've never had anything like it. The dough is so fresh and cooked perfectly. Also tried the meatball pasta and a few desserts. The tiramisu was so good and the meatballs with fresh pasta were also delightful. Highly recommend. Being from NYC and seeing a small hole in the wall sicilian eatery I wasn't expecting much but boy was I wrong. This is absolutely some of the best food I have ever had period. Everything is homemade and fresh and you can taste the quality in their ingredients. The owner is super nice, the chefs are talkative and friendly and is just an all around great experience. Hidden gem. Never been to Sicily but feel like I've eaten there now after just one trip to Gio's. Easily the best lasagna and margarita pizza I've ever had. And I'm a picky foodie. Can't wait to try the rest. Real wood-fired pizza oven tended by a real Italian pizza chef, while his mamma works in the back and creates some of the best pasta dishes you'll ever have, judging by the lasagna. It's a true family affair. Love that! Can't wait for my next trip to Nashville Shores just to be back in the neighborhood. That said, worth the trip for any date night even at current gas prices. Can only sit outside though as the pizza oven and kitchen takes up the whole of the restaurant. Fun to eat in the car 'cause it's all about the taste. Eccezionale! read more

Grabbed a meatball sandwich, some arancini, and a pepperoni pizza for takeout last Saturday. Everything was excellent, super fresh and made with very high quality ingredients. The pepperoni in particular was special, definitely not the run of the mill Sysco frozen stuff everyone else has. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu. read more

Doesn't look like much, but omfg!!!!! This place is amazing!!! All homemade, down to the bread baked daily by her son. I had the Margarita pizza AND the Gnocchi Al Pesto because well, why not both? Neither disappointed. Cannot express in mere words how delicious the food is. No table side service. Everything is prepared to go, although they do have a few very clean tables outside. Every employee had a smile on their face. Support your local Sicilian start up restaurant. And go soon. I predict this place will have a line out the door in the coming days. read more

I've been wanting to try this place after seeing many good reviews, and they did not disappoint! I ordered gnocchi al pesto, caprese, and pasta ai gamberi e rucola. Their curbside pickup service is efficient and there's plenty of spots in the parking lot. Will return for sure! read more

I generally do not write reviews but I have to for Tutti Da Gio. I wanted to try this place for the first time so i ordered online the night before, i got a call way ahead of my order and the young lady was very apologetic because the young man that makes the pizza dough was stuck on a flight so they were unable to make my pizza, i happily changed my order because i ordered extra just incase i didnt like something.....that was not an issue. I ordered the spaghetti & meat balls, four cheese gnocchi, shrimp and cream puffs. When i picked up my order they also gave me the pizza i ordered at no cost (the flight finally came in).....first of all the atmosphere in that tiny place is amazing its like being at home with a big Sicilian family, second the food was amazing (everything), and third the customer service was also amazing. Seriously the best Sicilian/Italian food in Tennessee. read more

This is authentic Italian cuisine. I travel to Italy every few months with my boyfriend who is from Italy. We've tried other Italian restaurants in the Nashville area that were supposed to be authentic but they had Italian-American cuisine. While I do love a good fettuccine alfredo like many Americans and can appreciate the differences between Italian-American and authentic Italian cuisine, Tutti Da Gio is the real deal. They were even speaking Italian in the restaurant. The pasta was fresh and delicious and the service was friendly. Looking forward to seeing more! (Btw, some granita would really hit the spot on these hot summer days. : ) )I'll be back to try the pizza. : ) read more

I said that was fine so we got room temperature water. We saw they had a gluten free crust which was great because gluten causes my husband's mouth to break out in HUGE ulcers. We decided to order a 10" gluten free Classic Italian Pizza but we asked could we substitute the ham on it with hamburger. That's when we knew we were in trouble. It was very clear at that point that they didn't speak very good English. We also ordered two house salads with NO OLIVES. Mine came out with no olives. My husband's had what appeared to be a whole jar full of olives. So many that he just gave up trying to get them out and asked if he could have one without olives. An olive lover would have really enjoyed that salad! One server took the salad back and after a while the other one brought a new one back. Both were very apologetic. I have to say that the lettuce in the salad was a little brown but it tasted fine so we ate it. At this point I was really curious as to what our pizza was going to be. The server brought it out and it looked very good. We asked for plates and it took two servers but they finally brought out some little plastic plates, which were fine. We realized right away that there was no way that crust was gluten free. We just let that go and decided to eat it anyway. It was delicious...but we never saw any hamburger on it. Oh well, like I said, it was delicious. The service would have been perfect if the guys understood English. They were so respectful and polite. There was definitely a language barrier and we had to keep asking for things. I don't think they understood any of the changes we asked for. It wasn't a terrible experience and the food was very good. The place was very clean but I didn't go to the restroom so I can't speak to that.

Not very crowded either with the amazing weather we are having. If you are a brick oven connoisseur this may be the place for you, probably not a restaurant we will frequent in the future.

My experience at Tutti da gio was an unexpected delight. Tucked behind a sketchy gas station in the Hermitage area, this unpretentious Italian eatery turned out to be a hole-in-the-wall gem. The location might raise eyebrows, but as a true Nashville resident, I know that authentic finds often come in unexpected places. I attended a Yelp Elite event, where I first encountered their cheese pizza, and it left an indelible mark on my taste buds. Having traveled extensively, I can confidently say that their cheese pizza is unparalleled - the freshness of the cheese made me feel like I was savoring it straight from an Italian farm. The subtle addition of basil elevated its flavor even further. My curiosity led me to try their most popular dish, the gnocchi in pesto sauce. As a lover of gnocchi, I was excited to dive in, having been spoilt by the likes of Trader Joe's. Regrettably, the experience was not up to par. The gnocchi's texture fell short of the ideal, leaning towards mushiness, and the pesto sauce was drenched in a tad too much olive oil. It left me yearning for the Trader Joe's version. Despite this disappointment, my admiration for the restaurant's hardworking owner, an immigrant from Sicily, prompted me to grant them a 5-star rating. Knowing the challenges of immigration and how it fuels the drive to succeed, I salute her efforts in bringing an authentic Italian experience to Nashville. Tutti Da Gio is take-out only. There are outdoor tables but no table service. The food is authentic, Southern Italian and the portions are large. Last time, I ordered Gnocchi al Pesto. It was so good and too much to finish. My husband had the Pasta al Salmone (smoked salmon with a white sauce over fusilli. I wanted to try their tirmisu, but they were out by the time we ordered (order early). Instead, I had the cannolo and it was amazing. read more

The pizza was soggy and wet. It was a watery tomato sauce without any flavor. It was seeping through the cardboard box. We didn't like it much. We got the margarita pizza without any flavor, sauce, taste or any ingredients. It was a very cheesy wet pizza. There was no where to sit. The customer service was nice. read more
