Sammy, who used the last name of Bellagio's and company name of Venetian by Bellagio did our Quartz job at our house, excellent work, however embezzled $1,000 of our deposit by returning a check which bounced. He over charged us by $1,000 which he acknowledged and although he repeatedly said he would issue a new check (check was from Tuscany Marble and Granite, 779 Middle Country Rd., St. James, NY) and drop it off he stood us up four times. We asked if we could pick up the check and he said yes but was closed at the time he asked us to come to his office. We are out $1,000 for work that was not done. read more

This company came and measured for a counter top on September 10th and won't be able to complete the job until at least September 30th. In the mean time I'm without a counter or a sink in my bathroom. 3 weeks seems a bit excessive. When we call they blame consumer kitchen and bath for the delays as well as the contractor. When we call consumer and the contractor they blame this company. Meanwhile I'm stuck with an unfinished bathroom and this counter top isn't cheap. Guess you pay a lot these days to get very slow service. read more

All the reviews you read here are accurate. Consumer Kitchen & Bath contracted Tuscany to install my quartz countertop. I also paid Consumers $100 to have Tuscany come and measure the vanity after it was installed to make sure the opening for the sink was accurate. The guy that measured it said he had to take the sink with him back to the factory. I was never given an opportunity to check the measurement but was told Tuscany had to fax it to Consumers for their approval. After a month-long delay (supposedly because I decided not to add a backsplash) they finally installed the countertop. Needless to say, the sink is not centered in the opening and the opening is 1/4" off center of the cabinet. I think they even had to cut one side of the cabinet to get the sink in which would not have been necessary if the opening was cut accurately in the first place. I don't know what the industry standard is for centering the sink in the cabinet but I wasn't happy. Tuscany sent a condescending jerk to check out my complaint. Instead of measuring the sink with the cabinet, he measured from the doors of the cabinet (which are adjustable). He did say the hole was cut 3/16" off but that was considered acceptable. I disagreed with the way he measured but he claimed to be the professional and dismissed me. I've called the company 5 times since, only to have the very nice receptionist tell me she'll have the boss call me back. She apologized each time I called which is what I assume she's told to do until I give up calling. in conclusion I don't know who to blame but I'm not sure why I paid $100 for a useless measurement. Not only did Tuscany not return my calls but I left several detailed messages on Consumers Customer Service Line (they never answer directly) only to have them not return my calls either. Obviously, this must be a reoccurring problem between the two companies and neither one wants to take responsibility. read more

We were connected with Tuscany through our kitchen design contractor, and they were a pleasure to work with. Our Cambria quartz countertops look great. Josh was very helpful in showing us our quartz slabs and helping us decide where various sections and seams would go. Kevin and the other installers were very professional and created seams so tight they are barely visible. Measurements were precise and work was done on time. read more

Tuscany just finished installing my countertops and hey did a great job. Originally I had shopped at a much bigger name marble & granite place and found everything I wanted. My kitchen cabinet & appliance person recommended Tuscaby to me, and I'm so glad. On our initial meeting Josh stayed late to let me view the slabs. They were exactly what the other place had. I was shocked when I heard the price $25-30 per square foot cheaper! They came out, and measured, then called to have us come in and view the layout on the actual slab. Once we did that they said it would be 10 days and they called on the 10th day to schedule install. On install day they had gotten stuck at another job, and didn't make it within the time window they had set, but the guys stayed till 7pm to make sure the job got done that day. They did a great job at a good price. I will say, when I saw the great price I decided to check out if they were legit and I saw these Yelp reviews. Got a little scared, but really glad I went with them. With food reviews it's easier to sort out good from bad, but my guess here is the many happy customers for countertops are not coming back to write reviews, while the few angry ones do. Don't walk but run away! By far the worse contractors I have ever dealt with. Had a kitchen counter and backsplash installed, could have had a house built in same time frame. 2 1/2 months. Once they get your money good luck, customer service disappears. Multiple wrong measurements and days taken off of work for no reason. Never any apologies and god forbid they try to work with you for installations. I implore you to stay away. Would never have had the install had I known. One star is too generous. read more

Given these guys 1 star is a compliment. Do yourself a favor and run away. Look up scam artist in the dictionary if you want to see a picture of the owner. Unreliable, unprofessional, and poor craftsmanship perfectly describe this outfit... They will not stand behind their work and good luck getting a call back, unless of course you owe them money. DO NOT USE THEM!!!! Please please please go elsewhere. We gutted our entire house, worked with many contractors, they were by far and away the worst. They installed a marble countertop in our bathroom and it has a clear crack, through and through, in it. After months of run around, ignoring our calls, we finally spoke with the owner, Jon, and he refuses to do anything about it. He completely doesn't care and basically told us it's our problem. We plan to sue them. Trust me, you don't want anything to do with these people. Terrible workmanship and terrible people. Wish I had listened to all the bad reviews. Stay away!!!! read more

Businesses depend on customers to stay in business. No customers, no business. I cannot take time off from my new job and wait for them to come to measure. They gave me a window of 2pm-7pm. (I've already had to cancel two appointments with them because I could not get off work). (They also suggested that my contractor come here and sit and wait for them.) I've requested if I could be the last appointment of the day to no avail. I'm only 15 minutes away from their warehouse. Why can't I be the last stop. I feel because they have my money already, they are in no way trying to work with me. read more

I recently built a house and dealt with dozens of suppliers and contractors. Far and away, Tuscany Marble and the owner Jon are the most frustrating people I worked with on this 2 year project. Missed dates that were promised, no-shows on install appointments and unreturned calls were the norm. Finally, their dismissing responsibility for a defective very expensive piece of marble that cracked shortly after installation was the final straw. A small claims law suit might be the only way to get any attention and resolution. There's plenty of marble guys out there so I would go elsewhere even if you just need a paperweight. read more
