He over charged us by $1,000 which he acknowledged and although he repeatedly said he would issue a new check (check was from Tuscany Marble and Granite, 779 Middle Country Rd., St. James, NY) and drop it off he stood us up four times. We asked if we could pick up the check and he said yes but was closed at the time he asked us to come to his office. We are out $1,000 for work that was not done.

In the mean time I'm without a counter or a sink in my bathroom. 3 weeks seems a bit excessive. When we call they blame consumer kitchen and bath for the delays as well as the contractor. When we call consumer and the contractor they blame this company. Meanwhile I'm stuck with an unfinished bathroom and this counter top isn't cheap. Guess you pay a lot these days to get very slow service.

Ex: G2 poly sand bags I understand no returns on pavers, bricks, dirt, things like that. But for things that still have an actual price tag, that's a bit much! Never the less, if I was aware of this with an obvious sign or a comment from the cashier before purchasing, then I wouldn't of purchased extra material. The sad part is when I asked if they take returns, they said "no, its on the receipt." BUT this is literally after making the purchase Im aware of this. It would be smarter to mention this before purchasing, not after the facts! I thought that bit was a little distasteful from a business point of view. I still recommend this place. But be sure to only order what you need. Don't order the "extras" for the just incase event in your projects. (That is only for whatever they sell inside the store.) Bottom line: Project is done! Was left with 3 extra bags of poly sand (no return/my complaint) and a few pavers and bricks (also no return, but this part was expected).

We finally made the decision to redo our old and outdated patio. Our next step was to choose "the…read moreright company" to work with us. After doing our homework, it was clear that Hewlynn's Basics Landscaping was the company of choice. We called Hewlynn on Deer Park Avenue to set up an appointment to have someone come to our home, see our patio, hear our thoughts and give us some ideas/suggestions ... Jay did just that. He listened to our ideas about the color, the size and the texture of the pavers, and gave us his recommendations. Between all of us, we came up with a plan, date and time that fit both our schedules. Jay told us the crew would start the project on Monday and it would be done by Friday., depending on weather. I (being the skeptic) planned for a minimum of two weeks from start to finish. I am thrilled to say the patio was completed on time, within Jay's time frame. In a few words, our 'new" patio is incredibly beautiful. Jay was at our home every day making sure the demolition of the patio and installation of the new pavers was done the way we had decided. Even after the patio was installed, the professionalism continued. His crew, led by the foreman Henry, washed down all the plants around the new patio that had been covered with dust from cutting pavers. They cleaned the fence around our Koi Pond. Their attention to detail and assurance of "customer satisfaction" could be seen each day. They put new soil around the perimeter of the patio and then seeded it. Jay even sent someone the day after the patio was completed to make sure our irrigation was not damaged. That is what I call above and beyond attention to detail. You will need to have a name of a fabrication company to obtain pricing as they are wholesale. But you can go in and browse or make an appointment if you need some assistance. You can ask your fabricator to give you a standing percentage rate over cost so you can obtain and compare pricing. Natural stone such as marble, granite snd quartzite are beautiful but Quartz - a composite has been trending.

I love home and yard decor, even though my pocket doesn't allow me everything that I would love to have. It doesn't stop me from looking at it and that's what I found here. Yes, there were options I did not even know existed. I went in looking for quartz slabs because I heard they were the most durable, and I'm a rough handling kind of person. But while looking at everything they had to offer. There was ceramic, porcelain, quartz, granite, limestone, slate, etc. In the most beautiful colors. I ended up wandering into the granite, and when I walked past, I saw something I had never seen before. A granite with flecks of purple in it unlike anything I've ever seen. It was more than I wanted to spend, but I couldn't stop thinking about it when I left the warehouse. You are able to take samples as many as you want of any of the stones that you see so I went home with like a bucket of stone samples. The Staff that worked there were very friendly, kind and patient. They answered any questions I had and told me to tell them, which ones I was interested in they would work up a price and send it to my stone installer. I tried to talk myself out of it. But that River White granite with its low variations of white and gray veining with small deep burgundy flecks stole my heart.
