They did a perfect job installing carpeting on a large staircase. Was not a easy job, some was an open staircase and some was a closed. From choosing the the carpet through installation everything was easy. The 3 installers could not have been nicer, they stayed till after 6pm to finish the job - they came first thing in the morning. A reliable friend recommended Allen Carpet in New Rochelle. I am an interior designer so I went to see for myself. I was looking to carpet two bedrooms. I walked into the store, asked for Kenny, and within 5 minutes found the perfect, beautiful, in stock wool blend carpet at a great price. The prices are fair, matches home depot. But one of the salespeople is awful. I will not give names here. I went in for carpet and the guy couldn't hear me, and if I spoke too fast for him, he got annoyed and overspoke me. That is fine, but if you cannot hear me, then explain this and don't speak over me when YOU have something to say. Mustaf was great when I needed to make a change, I wish I spoke with him during my 1st interaction. I had too much trouble asking for a quote for a custom order because the guy was impatient with listening to me explain what I wanted, so they ended up not getting my business for a 2nd order. I will go elsewhere or at least seek out Mustaf next time I have to order carpet from this location. I gave them a lot of money, they did me no favors. They should offer patience to me as the customer if I am explaining my needs. Or, they should offer assistance to a sales person if he has a hard time communicating with customers. 3 stars because of inventory and they worked with my time frame. This New Rochelle location already has lousy reviews, but I'm not even sounding off about their carpeting. Their driver parked in my private, paid for spot because he didn't feel like finding street parking. When he came out I told him not to park there again because I could have him towed. His reply... "Do what the f@ck you have to do...". I called the store to complain and got the owner Kenny, who was actually worse if that's even possible. Instead of apologizing he spoke to the driver and called back to let me know the driver denied using the F word and say he was only parking in my paid, reserved parking spot for a short time as if to say, what's the big deal? He even asked me how much I pay for that parking spot and if there's a sign with my name on it so I let the bozo know there actually is. DO NOT GIVE THE NEW ROCHELLE LOCATION A PENNY OF YOUR MONEY!! They're rude, nasty lowlifes and God help you if you let that driver into your home. read more

This review is for Allen Carpet Floor and Beyond of 40 Nardozzi Pl, New Rochelle, NY 10805New Rochelle. Deplorable. Just deplorable. I chose Alan Carpet of New Rochelle to install a stair runner because they made a professional impression. They were way more pricey than other options in the area, but I chose them because Mustafa sounded very knowledgeable when he explained to me how they would staple the carpet to the risers ONLY without touching the treads.  Goodness gracious!!!! What a mistake! they stapled each stair tread and the landings more than fifteen times! (a hazard as women's heel caps can get caught in them!!!). They also left air bubbles and many gaps at the end of the risers and missed the last riser!!!. The installers they sent were incredibly inexperienced, careless, and their craftsmanship was very questionable. I complained to Mustafa, and he came to see the work. His solution to the air bubbles and gaps? MORE staples!!! Amazing! rude, rude, rude RUDE as can be. Horrible experience!They sent a second person to fix the mishaps, but there was little to do. They pretty much damaged the wood of the stairs. Really poor, expensive, and careles work. On top of disrespectful treatment. Would not recommend these people to anyone. I bought carpet here which was installed poorly and sloppy and when it started to come up, we called to them come and take care of the issue and they wanted to charge me by the hour instead of taking care of the issue and providing customer service. And then they were giving some lame excuse about all carpet does this. The carpet itself is wearing out after less than 3 years. Don't buy anything from here, this place sucks, the quality sucks and the people who work there sucks and don't have any clue about customer service. Marc the salesman was extremely knowledgeable and helped guide my decision. Due to the many angles and steps it was not an easy job and the installation was fantastic. I had priced out the same carpet at a local carpet store in Rye and Allen Carpet's price was much less expensive. Very poor service..poor customer service..the managers don't know anything on who is coming to install the wood floors/carpet. They don't know when or what time the workers are coming..Very unprofessional. They come in one day and do some of the job then leave. The workers still haven't come to finish the job.The managers keep saying the workers are coming tomorrow,tomorrow but the workers don't show up.Also I ordered some curtains/blinds 2 months ago and it still has not come in..They are not honest when the orders will be ready and making up lame excuses.They probably put that money in their pocket. We recently about 2 months ago renovated our entire home ( Kitchen , 3 Bath"s and New Flooring ) using The Origina Allen Carpet Floors in New Rochelle Location . We had bough carpet from them 25 years ago but this time we shopped around first and were frustrated with other allen carpet locations ( not affiliated ) and other carpet stores and then went back to original Allen carpet location in New Rochelle and oh boy so glad we did. Not only we were able to buy all the products we need for our home project in this one location but they helped us with the entire project and mad it very easy and seamless for us . I must say honestly these people are the only ones to be trusted . they are very knowlegable and honest and frindly and helpfull and have good installers too and do a real nice job. We were very happy with their service and highly recomend them. Any negetive coments are coming from their compatitors are just not true !. You should checked them and find out for yourself . They don't advertise much since they have many repeat customers . They have been in the business for more than 30 years. I found out other carpet stores branched out from them and opened up new location and are indepened operations and claim to be what they are not! read more

Just had carpet installed from this store today and so far no complaints. Three attendants patiently helped me select the carpet, they held it for three weeks until I was ready for installation, the installers worked for ten hours straight and did an excellent job! I'm in love with my newly "dressed" staircase and will keep my fingers crossed that the wonderful stretch lasts. They were fully $1500 less than a neighboring store for the identical job!
