It's not a cheap place by any means but the ingredients are fresh. I usually get the largest combination portion I can get since most of the bowls are veggies and fish I don't get full from the portion size. With their own parking space and fast in and out service, it's a good place for lunch. But make sure to bring a $20 read more

Omg I love this place. After a particularly, uh, spirited, weekend, this was a god send. My husband and I went here the other night and were in love. It felt so out of place on Broadway, like it should be in Boulder instead, but hey, I'll take it! We got regular size bowls. We're short and athletic and I probably could have easily demolished a large. I got salmon and my hubs decided to be vegan for the eve. He got the tofu and tempeh, which I tried and it was delicious (albeit it was covered in spicy mayo, so naturally it was delic lol). The mix ins and toppings were good and I got the salad base, while my hubs got rice. For the salads, we got the seaweed, the korean glass noodle, spicy green papaya salad, and I the poi'tato salad. Everything was so good and we inhaled it all. Also, insanely reasonably priced! We'll definitely be going back! read more

I love the concept of Turtle Boat. Presumably the owner was there and helped us with our order. I got the regular portion, and my boyfriend got the large portion. The sides need to come in their own container, because some of the more subtle flavors get masked by some of the more aggressive additives. Next time we go, we know what we like and what to order based on our taste. I think having some "pre-created" meals might help first timers, or some kind of amalgamation of the "Chipotle" type poke scenario. The fish was fresh but not very big portions. The spices mix was awesome, as well as the salad. I loved the Yuzu sauce. Everything was really tasty, just a bit skimpy. Overall I will come back and see how this place evolves. read more

The only lost star is because I felt like it was quite expensive. Other than that, it was fantastic! I live in Vegas and was visiting Denver for the weekend. Because I am on a physique competition diet, I had to scout out some particularly 'clean' eating options. Poke always works so found this place and wanted to give it a shot. Really cool concept and spin on the typical poke bowl. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and explained everything very thoroughly. That was very nice and I always appreciate that. The poke salad was awesome. Super fresh, and very tasty. Because of my diet demanding high protein, I went with the large which was 3 protein sources. Another bummer was that out of the 7 or so protein sources, 3 of the top ones I wanted to try were out so I was left with just a few options. For my wife and I to eat (no drinks, just water), it ended up being about $33 which is a little high for my liking. But that being said, it was good and I still recommend it. read more

I'd give this place a 10 star rating if I could! It was not only delicious but I knew where my food was coming from because the gentleman who helped make my food took the time to explain not only where it came from but was careful to only include gluten-free ingredients. I am celiac and this place didn't make me sick. They gave me the best customer service experience I've ever had but I guarantee I will be back I just have to stop myself from eating here every day! This small hidden gem is an amazing find. The healthy (Vegan) alternative for lunch or dinner is awaiting you. One of the Owners was working the counter and gave us recommendations and spoke about how the restaurant came to be and educated us on the various ingredients. The food was fresh and flavorful. Great food here it looks like a very cool place to sit and hang out once COVID restrictions are lifted. I will most definitely recommend this place and will eat here again. I got the double greens, no rice or noodles, with basically all the fixings a few tuna. This was a great bowling a lot of food. I was very happy with the customer service as well. Make sure you give Turtle Boat a try when you are in the area! I loved their Vegan protein option, Alma, mixed in with their fresh MixIn's and their house dressing. I added the Wasab'amole and the Korean Glass Noodle and enjoyed every bite! Also, their customer service was amazing. It was my first time visiting and every single person was very helpful and patient with my questions. read more

So overall I was pretty excited to try this place. Seeing as, I've heard pretty good things about them. I really enjoyed the all black building with chic art painted or framed inside. It felt really hipster. Food: 7/10 I got white rice with ahi tuna and I just went simple and got cucumbers and green onions, spicy mayo, panda seeds, and seaweed salad. I was curious to what their house sauce was, maybe I'll try that next time. The fish was pretty fresh. I was really surprised to find out they didn't serve avocado here. Price: one single protein and one salad is $7.99 Two protein and two salads are $10.99 (I don't remember the third option, sorry!) But yeah! I guess the pricing is fair. Staff: I was kind of disappointed by them honestly. Only because, I like good customer service and I like nice people. They just didn't look happy and didn't smile once :( Parking: 6/10 Parking was a bit confusing because there is a auto dealership right next door, in the same parking lot. So for customer parking, you have to go around the dealership towards the back unfortunately. read more

I must admit when I first dove past the Turtle Boat this week I had no idea what they were about; a new "head shop" on the "Green Mile" or just some new hipster bar. Their brightly painted mural caught my eye and pulled me back to find out what they were up to on S. Broadway. Then came this week's Westword article: http://www.westword.com/restaurants/turtle-boat-brings-colorado-style-poke-to-south-broadway-9054707 which set the hook! So here you go! As I write this I'm actually finishing my first of many poki salads and can tell you without a doubt if you like sushi or poki you need to stop by NOW! I ordered a regular sized portion with Salmon & Ahi Tuna, all of the mix-ins except the pineapple and vegan massage, house dressing, white rice with nori and furikake as my toppings. My side salads were the Wasab'amole(TM) and seaweed salad. The fish portion was fresh and flavorful; maybe not as much as I would have wanted but certainly enough so I had a taste in every bite. The mix-ins were are all fresh, crisp with a robust flavor. Their house dressing is a home run that will go well on anything; thus the "house dressing" label! I especially like the Wasab'amole(TM) and seaweed salad. Don't be shy when speaking Jeremy Song chef/owner. He greeted me at the register and asked how I heard of their opening. Don't make the same mistake I did and casually offer a free business tip. Consumer fail! I made the mistake of pointing out that the 'poke salad' signage is not visible to north/south traffic on Broadway. And that in summer months the tree blocks signage from other directions. The man behind the counter starred at me expressionless. Just staring. I want sure how interpret his expressionless facial expression staring straight at me, so I toke that as a cue to explain. I pointed out that poke is new to Denver and if the word 'salad' was visible to traffic it would likely attract a bunch of future die-hard poke fans. He responded by saying that the sign does not need changing...that I was the only one who "has an issue". Dude, I don't have an issue...? I do however, own thriving businesses with wait lists...a business problem only one of us will have. Quality of food. 5 stars. Ambiance. Well designed for a quick eat. 5 stars. Portion size. 2 stars. I happened upon this place a few weeks ago while driving by. A lucky find, for sure. This was by far the best Poke Salad I've had in the Denver area - hands down. I don't hesitate to call their food "inspired". You can tell they take pride in both their food and service. Every single ingredient was fresh and tasty. I especially enjoyed the "wasabamole" - very unique. The fish is all sustainably-sourced and some is local to CO. I can't wait to go back soon! read more

Dairy Free Paradise!!!! Having a dairy allergy sure does make eating out tough! Thank goodness for awesome and delicious spots like Turtle Boat! Their poke salads are so scrumptious and healthy! If you're like me, then you like food a specific way. You can really go crazy with customizations here, so that's a win! The owner is extremely friendly and explained everything to us. I love that they get as much of their proteins and produce from local sources as possible. I'm all about local businesses helping local businesses thrive! I definitely recommend this place. Came in for the first time today not expecting much since poke isn't really a thing in Colorado yet (we are from California and Hawaii) but this place definitely impressed us and we will be back! The fish is very fresh, the sides are innovative and delicious, and all the toppings and mix ins are great options. They even have a vegetarian option, which I have never ever seen in any other poke place. We got a mix of Kanpachi, salmon, and locally sourced Colorado bass, tossed with the yuzu vinigarette, which is a delightfully bright citrus flavor that made the fish even tastier. This is not an 'authentic' traditional Hawaiian poke by any means, but their take on it is very tasty and well executed. Added bonus, the owner is well informed about the seafood watch list and makes an effort to source sustainable fish and local greens. The utensils and plates they use are compostable, and the inside is very clean and neat. This is the best place in Denver to get poke, we will for sure be back often this summer for the kind service and good eats. read more

Y'ALL. DON'T SLEEP ON TURTLE BOAT. This place is exceptional! First off, the guys running the front counter were incredibly sweet and super knowledgeable. They made it a point to talk about the fact that they source their produce locally and the amount of thought and consideration that went into how they built their menu is amazing. The gentleman who worked there was so kind, it sort of lifted my whole day. After I selected tofu as my protein, he checked with me to see if I wanted to whole dish to be vegan. (I let him know I was vegetarian.) He also explained that I could do half and half for the base (half rice, half salad), which turned out to be a great combo. I ordered the snack size, which I'm putting in the small meal / lunch category. I usually wind up not being able to finish whole meals when I'm at a restaurant, so I appreciate the "snack size" option. I snarfed the whole bowl when I got home (so no photos), and it was delicious! Aside from taste, part of my love of poke is how healthy it is, so I appreciate that they don't douse the bowl with dressing. The place sells tons of local beverages, clearly marks what's veggie and what's gluten free, and great service. Will be a frequent customer for sure! read more

It appears I am in the minority. I really like their commitment to sustainability and locally sourced ingredients, but it just didn't hit the spot for me. They offer a lot of choices and have a beautiful presentation, but I found the flavors to be a little muted from other poke spots. read more

I came in recently with a friend to grab dinner to go. The dining space is fairly small but there is also an outdoor seating area if you want to stay. I ordered a regular size poke bowl with Octopus and Ahi Tuna. I absolutely loved it! The flavors were amazing, the fish was fresh and the wasabamole was to die for. My friend has food allergies and the staff was amazing at letting her know what she could and couldn't have which was really nice. I also loved that they carry rowdy mermaid kombucha. If you want a fresh, absurdly delicious poke bowl, you need to come see the staff at Turtle Boat. I have devoured many of these bowls whenever I am available in the area. It has lowkey ruined all other poke bowls for me! But I'm not mad about it. The two men I usually see are always patient in their explanation of ingredients - impressive feat within it self. They go beyond the description to inform you where the ingredients are sourced from! They also have a case for drinks. My favorite is the coconut water with pieces in it. The shop is small and locally owned. I can't recommend this restaurant enough, they honestly make the best poke bowl outside of California and no other restaurant in Denver can compete! read more

I'm on a solo vacation and I'm vegan. That's always scary cause I'm afraid there won't be any place to eat. I've had no trouble finding healthy plant based options in Denver and this one was one of the best so far! You get to build your own plate and 90% of the options were vegan. And you get to pick as many toppings as you want for the same price.. such a great dish. Super healthy and veggies were fresh and delicious. Loved it! "Eat food. Not too much. This is review is brought to you by a person who is allergic to fish and shellfish so therefore poke is usually OFF LIMITS. But, let me tell you I loved this place. It was so nice to come out of a place not feeling sluggish and disgusting. The employee were beyond helpful explaining everything to this non fish eater. I loved how you can put as many toppings on as you would like. Additionally, the little side salads were awesome. I was sad they were out of their famous wasabamole, but I'll just have to get it next time. Everything was so fresh and you can tell they care about the food they are serving. The alma was a delicious ancient gains mix that was so much better than tofu or tempeh that places usually offer. The place itself is very small so I can only imagine what it is like during the lunch rush. I would recommend being prepared to take out. Can't wait to go back read more

Today, I was at Chop Shop the minute my order was ready, as I got a notification on my phone. I got the chicken with polenta and my husband had the chicken tenders. We got freezer burnt chicken that was wet and soggy, breading falling off, and impossible to chew like cardboard. Not to mention the polenta and Mac and cheese were cold. I understand not every experience can be perfect, however to pay a tip, restaurant service fee (that apparently doesn't go to staff because it's a separate charge), and have to pay for utensils at a quick serve restaurant just to receive small portions, cold food, and past quality ingredients is not acceptable. I would sooner go to a fast food restaurant.

There's a 'decent' chance we might return and another, more savory salad will satisfy my palate. But the food came out at different times and most of us felt uncomfortable eating food unless the entire table had theirs. Third time and here I am writing a review. I waited for my food as multiple people got served prior to me. I tried smiling and waving to someone who was delivering the food, and she was clearly avoiding me. She even checked in on everyone around me... On top of that, they seem well trained at removing the table number once the food has been served. My table number remained up for 25 minutes. I purchased an entree, drink, and a cookie- really trying to support the business here despite the lack of mind for the consumer. Not until another woman who seemed to have the outside coverage passed by was I able to get to share my issue. The manager came and offered me an additional side or dessert but my meal came with two sides and I had already purchased a cookie. He explained that the issue was because my order was pushed as completed but that does not cover the fact my table number was up the entire time and the other service members completely ignoring me. I am at Cherry Creek for work every other week and wanted this place to be my go-to for meals but 3/3 visits of service being subpar- I've got to move on! That evening, I was craving pho. Pho 92 came recommended and I was immediately drawn to the clear broth in the photos while researching Yelp for Vietnamese food. It was a Thursday evening when we arrived at Pho 92, and the restaurant was packed. It was loud, with staff bustling about and patrons enjoying their meals. The aroma of the pho broth was just as I had hoped for a busy restaurant. We waited approximately 10 min for a table. The staff were pretty efficient and looked to have a good system going for bussing tables. Hailing from CA, I am no stranger to good pho, and this place hit the spot. I'm so glad I decided to get the regular instead of the large, because wow those portion sizes were indeed huge. My husband made the "mistake" of ordering the combination vermicelli bowl, and it came packed with tender proteins and crispy egg rolls. That just meant for some delicious leftovers (that actually reheated perfectly). The pho broth was as clear as I had imagined from looking at other patrons' photos. It still had a good depth of flavor, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It had been a long travel day for us, so I didn't want oily soup. (Sometimes I do enjoy rich, oilier pho broth, but not that night.) The pho came with a plethora of herbs, which I of course used all of. Be warned that their chili oil is very spicy, which I accidentally put too much of without first trying (oops). I generally don't go to the same spot twice during a trip, as I enjoy trying out different local businesses, but Pho 92 would have been a spot I'd return to again if we had had the time and if I had wanted pho again.
