I contacted several pool repair people to retile my pool and Mike came out, vs giving me a quote…read moreover the phone. I supplied the tile and materials. His workers excel in mediocrity. I had them re-do several places because it looked terrible. One part they re-did still looks terrible. The plaster patch was rough and had to be sanded. They didn't clean up the sanded plaster and made nothing but excuses for the poor work. The end result is ok but was a huge headache. Mike made nothing but excuses for the poor work. His workers left trash laying around, poured dirty water on my oregano and mint plants and even tossed a couple of beer bottle caps in my ice plant. Run, don't walk away from these clowns! In response to the owner's comments. It's true I ordered a thicker tile but that wasn't the issue I was talking about. If expecting someone to do their best is an unrealistic expectation, then yes, I'm guilty.

Troy Moore was originally recommended by my previous pool maintenance company…read more Last month, my pool was not serviced and so I sent him a message about the lack of service. Mr. Moore has always been about business and I received my bill promptly every month and paid ASAP. He told me that his employee, David, had come out to my home to clean the pool. I waited and David never made his appearance. I called Mr. Moore and informed him that my pool was still dirty and I was going to host a party and needed the matter to be taken care of. Instead of taking care of my pool, he sent me a text, A Text and Email, indicating that my pool service was being stopped. I asked for my money back and till date, no reply or refund. WOW!!! To make a long story short, Mr. Moore dropped my account because I called him out on the pool service. Not very professional Mr. Moore. Don't bite the hands that feed you and keep your company solvent.

All of my pool equipment is very old and probably discontinued. Two other pool repair companies came before Jake (The Pool Guy) and didn't even want to try to fix my heater. Both said that I needed to replace it and they tried to sell me their refurbished units. After fixing my heater, Jake did say my heater was indeed old and discontinued. He explained that if it ever breaks down and needs part(s) then it wouldn't be repairable because the parts aren't being made anymore. So, because of that, sooner or later I will need new equipment. I really appreciated his honesty and the fact he was able to get me up and running. Now, I can heat my pool and hot tub while I put money aside to pay for new equipment. And when I'm ready for the replacement, I'll be calling The Pool Guy (Jake).

Everyone else I called was trying to sell me a new one but Jake said he thinks it could be fixed. Gave me a few tips and after I picked up a new heater control module, my heater was good as new and jacuzzi was nice and hot. A few months later, my Jacuzzi jets stopped working so I called Jake right away. He came out and did an inspection and suggested new filters and Walla... it WORKED. I haven't changed the filters since I moved in 3yrs ago and who knows when the prior owners changed them. I had no idea that would be a game changer for my jacuzzi and filtration system. I say all this because Jake is an Honest guy and someone you can Trust. Not very much people like him nowadays. Thanks again Jake.
