I recently had misplaced a good amount of clothing on a recent laundry visit and needed help investigating. I had completely forgotten a whole dryer full of clothing but had thought it was stolen. I then reached out for video footage which them showed goofy me forgetting my clothes. A whole 24 hours later, I went back and they were still there. Used to come here, but it's under new ownership, and they jacked up the prices. They also made it so you have to spend a dollar to get the dryer started or restarted, which sucks. I came here and was harassed by a lady over a dryer nobody was using, she questioned me about who's laundry I was doing that I was taking up too many dryers mind you there is no limit and the dryer was empty! She then threatened me and wanted to fight over a dryer saying she's rich and she lives out here and I don't, walking back and forth with hangers pointing them at me, slamming dryers and things on the counter. I called the police and nothing was done by the police nor owner! She simply should have been banned by the owner you do not make anyone feel uncomfortable in an establishment simply because you don't want to wait for a dryer like a normal individual. I'm beyond appalled the owner didn't take such action because she simply knows her. I am a paying customer who was coming everyday ! Never will I step foot in this racist establishment. I made a comment already and it was taken down by the owner so I will keep doing so it is never ok to make someone feel uncomfortable. I've been going here for over 6years and it does the job. However as of recent, they have increased the prices. What took me by surprise was the dryers now costing $1 to even activate and increasing by .25 AFTER paying $1. It used to be .25 =7mins. Now you're forced to do $1 for 20mins. So let's say the dryer doesn't do a good job of drying (which happens a lot!) and your clothes probably need an extra 5mins, you are forced to pay a whole $1 to start the dryer. I went to wash today and there were no visible notices that this change happened until it was too late. We were just here about a week ago before this change happened. On top of that, there's a flood happening on one side of the laundry mat and there was no one to check it or a caution sign. Anyone not paying attention could fall and hurt themselves. read more

For a laundry it's pretty clean. It has WiFi which we didn't use. They also have a charger on the side. It's quite warm in there from the dryers. There are wipes to wipe counter down. No restrooms though. They accept credit cards. They sell laundry bags. Well maintained. read more

Overall the machines were clean and 2/3 of the washing machines were great. The third didn't remove any of the water from my light blanket. (I wash it regularly and it typically comes out of the washer almost dry. In transferring it to the dryer it created a lake on the floor. I did grab the mop from the supply closet to try to eliminate a hazard, but now I'm paying more for the dryer AND doing manual labor. Not my favorite. Additionally, there was a couple that brought in their German Shepard. They kept walking it to every corner of the place and petting it and pulling the shedding hair off and onto the floor. I like dogs as much as the next person, but prefer not to mix dog hair with my freshly washed clothes. I'd probably opt for a laundry mat that doesn't allow dogs in the future. The bad (for me) or not so good: No plugs anywhere to charge my phone No restroom No sink to wash my hands. I think this is the first laundromat I've been to that didn't have sink. I really need a sink when I do my laundry. The washer I used started at I believe 3.50, and went up a bit depending which settings you choose. I know some of mine were 4.00 per wash because of the settings I chose like hot vs cold water. I believe its 25cent increments for drying, and you can choose how long before it charges your card. Very convenient. This is probably a great location if you just want to use the washer and/or dryer and possibly have a snack while you wait. I would still recommend this place just keep in mind there's no sink or restroom. read more

Laundry mats are not all created equal. Little on the pricey side, but the facility is very well kept up and clean. It has a homey feel that makes it a little bit more relaxing when waiting for your laundry to be finished! Had to come here to use an XL washing machine for my comforter. Was soo happy to have the right size and clean bedding! They were very helpful, as it was my first time, in letting me know where everything is and the instructions for each one. I am used to going to the one on Cass St, but they have seemed to let that one go to the homeless so I came over here and was very stoked on it. Credit cards on all of the machines, large loading washers. The dryers I used were excellent and dried clothes, and sheets in a timely manner. 7 minutes per 25 cents on the dryer. Large load washers I used were 5.50. Don't judge I am a guy and wash everything on cold! Folding spots were clean, and they offered wipes to clean even more if you desired. No homeless people hanging out or stashing their stuff in dryers! read more

The price here appears to be better than competitor prices, and I really like that they accept Apple Pay. My one complaint is that I didn't find a big enough washer for two (2) thin bed quilts & two (2) sets of sheets/fitted sheets/pillow cases. I have been to other laundromats & they had massive machines that could fit up to six (6) loads but at this location, I had to split between three (3) washers. We're from out of town needed to find a nearby laundromat to do few small loads of laundry. I found this laundromat from Yelp with fairly good rating and I ignored few bad ones. Hindsight I should take the bad ones more seriously. Unfortunately one of the laundry machines didn't spin the water out, left me with a heavy soaking water throw which simply can't be dried by using the dryer. There was no attendant to address this issue. I called the number posted on the wall for help, waited awhile but no one returned my call at all. I was so frustrated and disappointed. There's no sink that I can use to squeeze the water out by hands. My sister, my daughter and I spent almost an hour hand squeezed the water out of the soaking wet throw and then an hour in the dryer. This is totally a bad business leaving people stranded with no assistance. It is pointless to have a posting "Need Help? Call 858-488-5755 as if you really care. I will never return again unless the owner cares enough to respond to customer's urgency. read more

Pretty decent, I'd even say best kept around this area and feels very accommodating and for the most part clean. I come here when our washer is out from our building. They just upgraded a lot of their washers! You'll find: - detergent (to buy) - laundry bags (to buy) - coin machine - wireless internet - wireless washers so you can pay with Apple Pay or credit cards (these often malfunction so be prepared to give it a couple of try's or add coins instead) - no bathroom - no sink - no manager/owner on premises (but when they are they're very helpful) - snacks are currently not available in their vending machines. - places to sit and a bar to work on a computer with outlets. - sanitizing wipes - cart baskets for use in the premises *reason I didn't give them 5 stars: - No bathroom (hey I'd even pay to use one if they offered it, cause otherwise you'll have to drive home, I took my kid, and kids- when they have to go, they have to go!) - No paper towels or a sink to pick up spills and often the sanitizing wipes- are too small and for your hands, which are often gone (I'm sure this is probably inconsiderate customers fault) - parking is hard to find they share about 4 spots (1 handicap parking and 1 15min parking) with the pet store and you sometimes on peak hours/ weekends you have to load off, leave clothes and detergents unattended and find a place to park in the residential area. read more

I gave this place a few more tries. Everything is fixed! I haven't had any issues here for 3 weeks or so. There is parking, a coin machine and an ATM. Loads of good restaurants are on the same street to kill time, and The prices aren't absurd like many comparable laundromats. $3 for a small washer and $5 for a big one, with 75 cent dryers. I recently was employed through a different laundry mat also in Pacific Beach, and boy do I wish that that mat had been half as clean as this one. And the customers alone have been more friendly! I think I found my new laundry place! And I love that the door is on an automatic lock system! If it's a few Minutes after and your just waiting on the dryer no biggie! The door closes at 10 but has a sensor so if you walk near it it will open go let you out! (Make sure you have all your things first cause it will not let you back in!) read more

My family and I met Dave the owner. We complimented on how clean his laundry mat is and how we are very impressed with his attention to detail to satisfy his customers. He is also a Navy veteran and we hot it off just fine. The music he plays here is all 80's and up soft rock like Journey, Hall and Oates etc.... lots of ventilation in here and it's a comfortable level. It's about 70 degrees inside with machines running. If you are in the Pacific Beach area you need to visit this laundry mat. The owner is very helpful and friendly to help you if needed. Did I mention free WIFI!!!! Pros: Good machines, not too busy on weekdays, and free 5g wifi. Cons: Homeless people basically living here all day, smoking in and around the laundromat, and generally making the place unpleasant. This was our go to laundry for a long time but the last 2 months this place has not been well attended to. The floor and countertops are filthy by 10am, and the past 3 weekends we've come there have been multiple homeless both inside and hanging around on the sidewalk. Not all machines take cards. Small location. People are rude, saw a woman taking someone's laundry out until the person stopped her. Chairs are soiled with god knows what. Floor was wet. It's clean and convenient, but when the machines don't work properly, it doesn't matter what the surface looks like. Last week I went in to do laundry and ended up having a less than satisfactory experience. Using the large capacity machine seemed like s good idea until I realized with 30 minutes left to go that it was not washing. The machine had no water in it until the rinse cycle. These machines lock so there was no stopping it mid cycle. After the load cycled through I had to move it to a new machine and wash it again. It adds up at almost $4 a load not to mention the extended time spent for the drying cycle after my other loads were complete. Another machine I was using leaked all over the floor (at least this load was clean). I called the number listed and left a message, 2 in fact because I called back a second time to inquire about a misplaced set of car keys, and received no reply. Every possible good thing I could say about this establishment is wasted breath because of the complete lack of customer service. I will be taking my laundry elsewhere since Dave couldn't return a phone call. read more

Very Clean place. They have everything you need to wash your clothes. From coin change machines, all cleaning supplies in a vending machine and all the machines take credit cards. They also have XL capacity machines. We were able to wash and dry 6 very large towels in their machines. read more
