Came here for brunch with my family over the weekend. There was something everyone from my grandma to pickiest sister wanted to eat. The smores hot chocolate was amazing as was my meal. We waited about an hour to get our table after putting our names on the waitlist, but were able to shop and walk around downtown to kill time. The only real detractors was the kids at the booth behind us who were misbehaved. Additionallu, we experienced some poor service, with getting wrong orders, and not getting silverware quickly even after food came. read more

I'd give them zero but you can't. What a joke. The employees are all running around and nobody knows what's going on. Stiff waiting for 10 mins behind a large group who had the entire lobby blocked (and they were bragging about how someone in the family had COVID but they were coming to eat anyway). They finally step aside as I made a face when someone came in the back and got their name in ahead of me - so they stepped aside and I went to the counter. Wand I wanted. and was ignored. Two guys walk in and an employees come up and seat them immediately at the bar, the seats the large group, and again I'm ignored. I turned around and walked out and I won't come back. The least they can do is make it more clear about how to sign in, and, when there's a large group, tell them to wait in the little seating area that says "wait here it's worth it" so that there is less confusion and congestion in the tiny little lobby area. read more

The service is always great here. We usually go here for brunch because they have a lovely selection of brunch items. Their skillets are amazing and so is their frittata. Super cute place for a ladies brunch! read more

We've been to Turning Point a few times over the years. It's definitely a pretty decent brunch spot but unfortunately there is always a wait. We did a call ahead but even still had to wait half an hour. They do have a free coffee area for those waiting so that's nice. They offer a variety of breakfast entrees like waffles, pancakes, omelettes, skillets etc. My husband tried the chicken and waffles which he was underwhelmed with. My shrimp benedict was pretty good and came with a side of potatoes and fruit which was nice. I couldn't finish everything. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food otherwise. It's really the long wait that knocks this place down by a whole star. It's just always a wait even if you call ahead. It's really tough. If you are in a hurry I would not recommend Turning Point. Otherwise, the service is good and, it's a decent experience! read more

Racist restaurant. I'm really tired of coming here and getting seated last, food last, and terrible service. My husband is black and we repeatedly watch white families get seated and served well after we arrived. Literally shaking as I type this because it's happened like 5x. read more

Great service! Delicious french press coffee. Food was delicious- even though the kitchen seemed a bit backed up- worth the wait tho!

* RACIST EXPERIENCE * If I could give no stars I would as my experience here was less than humane. My mother and I visited here on my birthday today and were sat at a table with dirty cups. A white couple was sat after us and then after them subsequently 2 more white women were sat. Both of them were sat next to us and got their order taken before me and my mother, even though they both got here after us. We were then still ignored and it wasn't until we were about to leave that we were brushed off by the waiter who as she walked away told us she said she'll be with us. She did not even have the decency to look at us and tell us despite the restaurant being basically empty. We then got up, spoke to a manger, and the manager herself had no words, I am assuming because she does not care to actually reprimand her staff for the blatant racism they all apparently have. If you don't care to cater to black people that is your choice, however in 2022 to still be this racist to people who probably make more than you, is honestly unacceptable and quite offensive. I have been to other Turning Point locations and have had stellar service, which is why I suggested to my mother we come here, however I will never return to this location and I suggest if you are a person of color that you do the same. read more

Just have to say the food was wonderful. However it was a Sunday and we go there at 9:15. Asked for outside seating. Hostess stated 10 minutes for the 4 of us and 1 infant ( no seat needed). After 20 minutes my son in law checked in to see how much longer. We were told they were cleaning off our table. Another 15 minutes and my daughter and I stood up. We finally asked again and the manager was clearing a table. At the table we waited another 10 minutes and asked 3 servers to take our order. I finally complained to the manager and he said no one was assigned to the outside and people who did call in waiting were served first. We advised him communication would be nice, we would have taken first seating. After 45 minutes I was hangry and not nice. The food was good and fast once we ordered but because I felt we were ignored in beginning I won't go back read more

My husband and I called Turning Point today to order breakfast for my sister's birthday. We received such a helpful and friendly staff member. We ordered it ahead of time for pickup and they were more than willing to help us. When my sister received her birthday breakfast we were so blown away by how they went above and beyond! Not only did they make a delicious spread but they sent balloons, an oven mit, and a stress relief ball. I was sooo thankful for the time and extra work they put in to making my sister bday special, especially during these trying times. Thank you, Turning Point Westfield. read more

The ambience is better than the food. The food was not bad, it just did not match the high price. Basic taste and the same quality you would get at Denny's. I will say that the bacon lollipop was tasty and probably the highlight of the meal. read more

Saturday brunch with my friends was great here. We were able to be seated promptly, even though it was busy. Upon viewing the menu, I was happily surprised with the variety of options. Their drinks are extensive from coffees, espresso, tea, smoothies, and shakes. Unfortunately, there is no alcohol so you won't be able to get your Mimosas or Blood Mary's, which is a bummer but not dismissible. For my drink, I ordered the iced vanilla chai and it was delicious. Perfect tea with hints of cinnamon and spice as it should be. Food wise, I ordered the Eggs Benedetto. I haven't had too many Benedict's in my life, but this was really good. Lots of veggies, two eggs, and a creamy pesto hollandaise. Unfortunately, my eggs were a tad over cooked, no completely disappointed, but noteworthy. I love when you can puncture an egg and the yolk spills out to help gather everything else and I missed that this time. The potatoes were actually amazing, and I usually never eat any kind of home fries. I like that they are smaller so that the cook is more even rather than some crunchy and some soft potatoes. Overall, I had a great experience and will definitely return! I don't get to brunch too often, but when I do, this will be the first place I look towards. Convenient location, great ambience, and delightful food. read more

My food was great at this location!! I did not have to wait too long, although all the parking that I found was paid in this area. The tables were adequately spaced out and I felt comfortable doing indoor dining. I ordered the Nor'easter Hot Chocolate which was great, and the Popeye Skillet with avocado added & eggs over hard. I hate runny eggs so the eggs being done well was really great. The English muffin was a bit overdone, but other than that I enjoyed my meal!! read more

Great food and service. Love the fact that they offer additional seasonal items and food is always fresh and tasty. My absolute favorite breakfast choice is the avocado smash Benny with chicken chorizo and the cosmopolitan salad for lunch. read more

Found Turning Point on Yelp. Came in on Labor Day morning around 11:30am it was packed! Host told us they had a call ahead system, which we knew nothing about and that the wait would be about 90mins. Luckily for us bar seating is first come first serve so we only waited about 15-20mins. We had our water promptly and our food orders were taken shortly thereafter. We had the lobster shrimp and grits, bacon and eggs with the stuffed strawberry French toast. To drink we had the Hawaiian Kona French press, purple haze lemonade and a milkshake. Everything was delicious. Only gave them 4 stars cause it was our first time and I need a second time to be sure they are BOMB. Hubby and I had a great breakfast. Thanks turning point! See you soon! read more

Came here for brunch. Nice outdoor seating. They have an array of coffee and tea. Had the Salted Caramel Waffle and Wilbur Skillet. Food was good. It was super busy, so be prepared to wait even if you made a reservation. read more

I saw a lot of reviews with people saying that there long wait times on the weekends. Let me just say. This a breakfast/brunch/lunch place in a privileged town OF COURSE it's going to be busy! But anyways, I really liked this place. Came on a Thursday afternoon so we got seated right away. I ordered the big east Benedict and my boyfriend ordered the corn bread French toast. Both were delicious presentation was on point as well. I'm not one to take pictures of food but when it's pretty you have to! Server was nice and everything came out in a timely manner. Place was not packed but there was a lot of people there regardless! The place itself is nice inside and theres outdoor seating for when it's not hot af outside. Will definitely be back! Plenty of options I still want to try! read more

We made a reservation about an hr before arriving!!! Once all our party got there, we stood around for probably 8-10 min before we were seated. It was crazy busy on Sunday noon, so if you don't like waiting, THIS PLACE IS NOT FOR YOU. Our waitress was pretty on top of everything we needed. Order came out within 25 min or so. Coffees probably took about 13 min to arrive. Everyone around me seemed like they were enjoying their meals and so did my table. No mistakes were made on our order and food tasted pretty good. I really can't complain. Feel bad for all the negative reviews. :( Parking on Sunday is tough. The lot behind the restaurant has odd hours where you have to pay between 11-3 or something silly. The sign reads very strangely. But if you go further back, the metered roads behind the restaurant is free on Sundays. If you come after 12pm, prepare to be looking for spots as they fill up VERY QUICKLY! read more

The absurdly long wait was the worst part about this place. I was told it would be 30 minutes and it ended up being an hour. But we did have a very nice meal (eventually). Appreciate they have several plant based options and vegan pancakes, which I thought were very good. Thought my latte was ok. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. I'd come back on a non-weekend morning. read more

There is a long wait so get there early! There are stores in the area to pass the time. The food was delicious and didn't take long to come out. Adorable place. Exemplary staff. Wide variety of food including a good number of vegan and vegetarian options. Worth the wait for brunch.

I'm not gonna lie... One of my hobbies is READING (out loud to my family, they hate it) Yelp reviews, I've never written one. But my experience at Turning Point Westfield warrants this feedback. Skip it, find another restaurant that actually cares about their customers. I'm not going to complain about the wait but I will observe that this place is poorly managed also known as un-managed. I cannot complain about our waiter as he was good (considering) but we sat and watched tables 'jump the line' in fact, one party of 6 sat down without even checking in, unbeknownst to the people that worked there. Eggs were over-cooked followed by the alternative: not cooked (runny whites). Dishes and cutlery nasty filth. Salad gritty with dirt. We have been to 2 other Turning Point restaurants and in fact, frequented the Manalapan location when we lived there. Go there instead or take a trip to Summit and hit the Committed Pig. read more

Overrated, go down the street to the diner and enjoy some amazing food with extraordinary service. Maybe if they didnt lie about wait time and only tell us its 45 min and 1hr 30min later they say they we have to wait additional time. FYI there was another customer complaining too, they had a reservation at a specific time and was told to wait 30-45min. Saying that the time slots for reservation are not guranted that time. Lady up front who seemed to be manager and not a hostess was rude. read more

We had a nice breakfast the other day. We were fortunate the weather was nice so we ate outside. The server was very polite and attentive to us. My wife had one of the Benedict choices they have and it's her usual. She loves it. I had the avocado toast. The portion was huge and I could not finish it. They offer a rewards club which is great because they send notifications of "national pancake day" and other specials. They also send discounts for certain days and holidays. read more

WOW! UTTER DISAPPOINTMENT! I have never given any place 1 star! But this time I had to. We went there for a colleague's farewell and were hoping to have a nice fun lunch for the last time. We walked in to an empty host counter. After waiting for 10 minutes and trying to ask servers who were outright trying to ignore us, someone comes and writes down our name. Leaving us clueless if there was a wait or how much was the wait. Finally after 20 minutes of this weird ordeal we got a table. We ignored this and happily jumped onto ordering our food as we were pretty much ready. We are chatting away for some time realizing after 20 minutes that we should probably ask where our drinks were. We did and were told that they will bring the drinks right away and food might take 5 more minutes. We got the drinks. We waited for the food for another 15 minutes and then asked to check on it. Again the server said she will be right out with the food. After exactly 1 HOUR and 5 MINUTES. We get out food. One person gets a full salad instead of a combo. After telling the server she takes back the full salad that was left on the table for at least 5 minutes, and cut it in half and brought it out again. Which is not acceptable, if you get the order wrong, you don't take it back!!! Now everyone on our table but 1 had their food. So very politely the person asks the server about it. And the server said "I ONLY HAVE TWO HANDS"!!! while she was WALKING AWAY!!!!! I have never seen anyone be so rude to a customer. We were given the drinks late, the food took 1 full hour and she never asked for refills on our drinks. We asked to see the manager. A guy shows up and apologizes for the order mix up and delay saying they were pretty full. Nothing about the server being rude. We asked for the bill immediately as we knew we will have to wait again! The server brought the bill and said the manager looked and it and walks away. To be on a little positive side, he gave us a discount and the food at least was not as disappointing as the service. I can condone the wait, I can understand that they were clearly not prepared for so many people but what this review is for is the SERVER. That attitude is NOT ACCEPTABLE! I am not going there again any sooner. read more

Food- I ordered the lemon blueberry pancakes. There weren't that many blueberries in the pancakes but it was still tasty. I would have liked to have more filling though Coffee- we got the classic French press. So good!! Comes with rock sugar. Overall, cute place. Would come again! read more

Server hastily slides over to our table: "How's everything?" Us, in unison: "greeeeat... but... utensils would be helpful to have." Do we REALLY wanna start with the rest? Do we bother? Do we say it? She's so friggen stressed and looks like a deer in the headlights. Husband thinks if I "start the rant" I'll completely break her - and that's not my intention. After all, it's Sunday. But right after the polite, pointless interaction, and getting the utensils (server walks away) hubby says: "Umm, can you please go back to the kitchen and find my yoke?" Wait. What??? Yep - hubby's Eggs Benny came out sans one yoke. Sort of defeats the purpose of the dish. He seriously looked for it! Under, over, next to - nope... no where to be found. I substituted the Eng. muffin with GF Udi's bread, but that is not how my dish arrived. 10 min later, yes, I got the bread. 5 min after that, we needed to ask for some butter. I'm thinking Sunday is NOT a good day to visit, right? Too much going on? Oh. One last little issue: the fresh-squeezed O.J. No. Just, no. A fresh squeezed OJ is sweet, rich on color, and very distinct rich flavor. The glass of OJ I drank had tons of ice to make the beverage appear larger, was therefore quite watered down, and frankly did not taste anything like fresh squeezed. Save yourself $3.60 (small glass). Breakfast for 2 - around $30. Wait time to get seated on a summer Sunday at 10:30am-ish - 40 min. read more

Pretty good food and service! We'll definitely be going back to this place. We had a great time at our brunch over the weekend

Food is decent but almost every time I order delivery they mess something up. This is one of my go-to breakfast spots. The French press, organic coffee is a great side kick to the delicious breakfast options, all made with fresh ingredients. This place has always been our go to, but no more. The pandemic really did a number on this place and the quality it used to have. I did a call ahead, which isn't considered a reservation, but it's there to cut your wait time down. I was told the wait would be 30 minutes when we got there, which turned into over an hour! The menu recently changed too, without any heads up from the waitress. Shrimp hash is gone, chicken and waffles also changed (and not for the better) We ordered apps which were brought out at the same time as the meals, 1 of which was missing, and a drink was forgotten as well. When we mentioned it to the waitress at the end of our meal, she had no clue whatsoever. Being patient due to shortage of staff is one thing, but this place just ain't it anymore, very sad to say. read more

Came for breakfast at 9:30 on a Saturday . We called ahead about 30 min prior for a party of 3, with only 6 people ahead of us in the wait list. We arrived 5 min early and were seated about 10 minutes later. Definitely come at or before 9:30am on weekends if you want to miss the long waits! I ordered the Big Easy Benedict which is a Cajun style Benedict with Cajun-seasoned hollandaise sauce, corn bread instead of an English muffin, avocado, and Cajun chorizo. I don't eat meat so I ordered the entree without chorizo. This dish was very savory, not spicy (thank gosh for me!), and filling! The cornbread is definitely a great twist to the traditional eggs benedict. I think this has become one of my new favorites! read more

The check-in process through Yelp was fine and it felt safe to eat indoors. The food was good but not as clean as they Princeton location for some reason but the edge goes to the service. 3.5* for the food, 1* for the service. I have been several times and the wait times suck. You can sign up online to get in the queue but still frustrating to wait for so long for food. Once I came on a weekday morning around 9:15am, no wait to be seated yayyyy. Placed our order, waited 20min, server came and said 1/5 items we ordered wasn't available because they didn't have strawberries...ummm 20 min to tell me this when they were basically empty? Unacceptable. And he asked if we still want the rest of the food because they hadn't started making it.
