Sharon is excellent! She is thorough, explains things well, and asks questions to clarify or "connect the dots". At each session, she goes over how you're feeling - mentally, physically, emotionally, and overall - to "check in". She also asks how you felt after the prior session, whether there's anything "new" going on (even if it's a sniffle). Then she brings out the needles (which, be assured, do not hurt...and I say that as someone who refuses to look at needles at the doctor's office because they make me uncomfortable), puts them in, and leaves you on the table with the needles in to do their work. I always feel relaxed, rejuvenated, and "reset" after a session...and that's on top of my "original" symptoms getting better. One thing to note: acupuncture is unlikely to "fix" whatever is going on with you in one session, so lying on the table thinking "is this making me better" isn't constructive. Go in with the attitude of giving it a try, trusting that it can help, and figuring that - at the very least - you'll have a relaxing, comfortable time to think about nothing...and you'll come out feeling good. If you've never had acupuncture and want to give it a try for something that you have going on, seize the opportunity and do it. Sharon is an excellent practitioner and she will explain everything that she suggests in order to get you comfortable with her recommended course of treatment. (Just note that she's going on maternity leave in mid-March and will be back in mid-July.) read more

There are truly no words for how grateful I am for Turning Leaf Acupuncture and Sharon!! Sharon is so wonderful, supportive, and amazing at what she does!! She has given me so much hope that I would conceive and has celebrated and supported me every step of the way. She has also been my shoulder and rock on my good days and my not so good days where the IVF journey felt overwhelming and like I would never be a mother. I started seeing Sharon weekly in the summer of 2020 and within a few months of consistent acupuncture, the herbs, recommended supplements, and lifestyle changes, I was able to finally regulate my cycle. I look forward to acupuncture every week. it is such a relaxing hour and I always have the best naps! I leave feeling so refreshed and rejuvenated. I can't explain how sweet, compassionate, and encouraging Sharon has been to me. She is so knowledgeable and I have learned so much from her. She has such a warm, calming presence and I always look forward to seeing her. She feels like a friend now, and I always can't wait for our chats before and after my session. She is so great at what she does. She always responds to my emails, day or night, when I have any questions, concerns or medical issues come up. Sharon is my fertility fairy godmother!!! You have been such a blessing to me and my growing family!! read more

I was in need of sleep, reducing stress, muscle tension and finding an alternative method of managing menopausal symptoms. Acupuncture has proven to be a miracle! Sharon's warm presence made is easier to talk about my 'uncomfortable condition'. She's a good listener and is thoughtful about planning each treatment. She offers additional advice to help me outside of our sessions to reduce hot flashes increase sleep and tend to my achy neck and shoulders. Sharon also introduced herbal remedies and other helpful types of acupuncture methods (some of which I can do on my own!). Each week I leave feeling refreshed and at ease. I've been seeing Sharon for almost a year now. She's been successful in treating my physical discomforts and has become wonderful support to the emotional experience of not feeling well. Her fees are reasonable, and she offers a variety of scheduling times to fit into a busy day. Her office is clean, neat and nicely decorated to give you that 'spa' experience. She's location in Coolidge Corner is right across from the T stop. There's ample parking too. I can't tell you how glad I am that I've made acupuncture a priority to reducing discomfort. It's helped me add 'self care' into my busy life and feel like myself again. Sharon is trusted professional who I know is invested in my wellbeing! read more

I love this place! I am not usually the type of person that writes reviews but this is worth it because i feel it can help others. I have been going to Turning Leaf Acupuncture for about 3 years and it has helped me incredibly on 4 main points digestion, stress, period regulation (no birth control or chemicals needed) and tendinitis. Sharon Bacigalupi and Christopher Tadeu are very professional and have their own strengths. They practice different type of acupuncture with great results. Period regulation took about 2 to 3 months of twice a month cramps pain went always almost completely and it got regulated to every 30 days. Stress and digestion was kind of connected. They recommended me ginger tea plus acupuncture. Tendinitis on my right hand, it was a mix of bad circulation and tons of traveling with heavy carry on. Chris gave me few extra advice of benefits of goji berry, exercise and diet combined with weekly acupuncture. I believe that for tendinitis i had to change many things to cure it without surgery. Chris suggested to go more often and it helped a great deal. Turning Leaf also have connection with other people so they share information about herbs that may help as well and topic medicine that helps with the pain. I suggest to everyone to go to acupuncture and enjoy while healing and balancing their body. read more

I began seeing Sharon for neuropathy in my feet - a long lingering consequence of chemotherapy treatment. Not only did regular acupuncture finally bring improvement and ultimate relief from something that no medication could help, I continued with treatments as I saw an overall improvement in many other areas of my physical wellbeing: my mental health (depression and anxiety), my period and hormonal balance, and smaller issues like headaches and congestion. Sharon was integral in my healing after a miscarriage and a crucial partner throughout a successful pregnancy. I returned after some time away (and the pandemic) for help once again with my period and depression and anxiety. With a single visit, I saw relief and improvement. After resuming bi-weekly treatment, I have experienced tremendous benefits - again, not just for the issues that I could name, but for my holistic wellbeing. I tell people, "I don't know how acupuncture works, I just know that it works." Sharon is amazing. Make an appointment today! read more

I turned to acupuncture as a last resort to address shoulder issues that had been ongoing for about 10 years. When I had my first treatment with Chris Tadeu he said that it could take up to 12 sessions to address orthopedic issues. But, miraculously, I experienced amazing improvement after the first session. After years of pain doing simple tasks such as putting on clothing, reaching for something on a high shelf, and buckling a car seat belt, I suddenly found that I could do these things with no pain. My highly restricted range of motion increased dramatically, and I felt years younger. My trainer at the gym remarked at the improvement and was pleased that I found a type of body work to help me. I continue to see Chris, and while I can't say that every person will experience such immediate improvement, I'm grateful for what has transpired and plan to continue using acupuncture as part of taking care of myself going forward. I'm age 66, very active, and have trained with weights for many years. read more

I have been a client of Turning Leaf Acupuncture for a few years now. From my perspective Sharon is a stellar acupuncture specialist. Her experience and expertise in the area of women's health was one of the things that initially appealed to me. However I quickly came to appreciate her attention to the patient's overall health and wellness, and ability to positively impact those. It is very valuable that she always checks in on any health updates and tailors her treatment strategy to address any needs. Her priority is the patient's health and wellness and she did not hesitate to employ her network and identify practitioners that I could seek abroad during extended travels in order to maintain the strong foundation we had built. I have felt comfortable recommending Sharon to friends of mine who have shared similarly excellent experiences and impressions. Her extraordinary professionalism coupled with her friendly and warm energy make for a wonderful experience. read more

Referred by a coworker, I decided to try acupuncture with Sharón at Turning Leaf Acupuncture and I am so glad I did! I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience. Before my first appointment, Sharón took a deep dive into my entire health history and very clearly cares about each one of her patients. She knows what she is doing and it shows. The actual appointment was amazing. I felt so relaxed and comfortable. Having tried acupuncture elsewhere, I can honestly say that Turning Leaf by far exceeds my previous experiences. The atmosphere is unparalleled - dim (or no) lighting if preferred, blanket/heat warmer if preferred, and incredible high-quality essential oils. I made weekly/bi-weekly visits with Sharón and noticed improvements with my personal health concerns. I look forward to continuing to work with Sharón! read more

I have been receiving acupuncture here weekly for nearly a year & could not recommend it more highly. The space is calming & well-kept, with each client in a private room. Sharón is an invested, responsive professional who takes her work seriously. I have been treated for a variety of issues, some acute like a bulging disc & sinus infection and others chronic like menstrual/hormonal issues & the joint/muscle pain, headaches, etc that accompany my lupus. This is my third experience with acupuncture. I absolutely loved the acupuncturist I saw in NYC & was doubtful that I'd ever be able to find someone to fill her shoes, but Sharón has done just that. She really cares about what she does & that is reflected in her knowledgeability, compassion, & ongoing commitment to growing as a professional. Fantastic, fantastic place! read more

Sharon is the best! I have been seeing regularly Sharon for almost a year, initially weekly, now monthly. I was bit skeptical at first, but now I am a believer in the power of acupuncture and in Sharon's skills! Sharon listens extremely well and addresses all of your concerns without making you feel picked apart. She is very patient with my thousands of questions and is always happy to explain what she is doing. She is super gentle, most times I don't feel a thing when the needles are inserted. She is super thorough. I live for the added perk of lavendar on your temples and eye pillows during your treatment, so nice and relaxing! The office in Brookline is convenient and comfortable and I never have a problem making appointments. Definitely give Sharon a try, its well worth it! read more

I've had shoulder pain for quite a while, and after going to my primary doctor and then a physical therapist without any luck, I decided to try acupuncture for the first time. I was skeptic at first, but after Sharon explained that acupuncture had been around for thousands of years...I began to think that maybe there was something to it. After 1 treatment, my range of motion increased, and after 3, my pain was gone! Amazing! She uses a gentle needling (good for me since I'm not a fan of needles!) is caring about all her patients and I'd definitely recommend going to see her. I now see see her for my insomnia and stress...and have had improvement with these issues too. Sharon is honest and will tell you if she thinks acupuncture and herbs are right for you. read more

I started seeing Sharon for acupuncture when I was beginning fertility treatments and wanted additional support from complementary medicine. She has made a huge impact in my life and as a physician myself, she has influenced the way that I practice medicine with my own patients. She was a calm and supportive presence in my life and I looked forward to our appointments each week. She was a smiling face every week when I was going through a very stressful time. I am now 26 weeks pregnant and while many factors likely contributed to my successful story, I think that acupuncture really prepared my body and relaxed my mind so that I could get the beautiful opportunity to become a mother. I highly recommend Sharon. read more

Sharon is wonderful. If you've ever thought about trying acupuncture, please call Turning Leaf. I have been a client for over 10 months and going in for my monthly (and sometimes biweekly) sessions has been fabulous. My shoulder pain has gone, my nasal congestion has cleared, I am not waking up in the middle of the night, my brain fog has lifted, my digestion (IBS) is completely under control, and I am calmer and completely balanced. Acupuncture is truly amazing. One session with Sharon and you will feel an immediate difference. She's a wonderful and caring practitioner and any fears you may have about the needles (they are painless, trust me) will be gone the minute you meet her. read more

I am really grateful to have found Sharon (from a recommendation of a friend). She is thoughtful, attentive, knowledgeable, calm, and warm and in just a few months, has helped me so much! When I came to see her, sleep was a huge issue for me - it has been for most of my life. With her help, acupuncture, and herbs, I now sleep soundly and my family says they don't recognize this "sleeping, refreshed person!" Sharon's treatments have also helped to reduce discomfort and pain during my period. I have recommended Sharon to members of my family and friends, including my teenage daughter, and would recommend her without an ounce of doubt if you're considering seeing her. read more

I went to Turning Leaf as Sharon was recommended to me by a friend. Was having an nerve issue with one eyelid twitching that I couldn't get relief from for months. I was also going through some trying business and personal issues that were affecting my digestion and moods. Sharon was fantastic at taking a look at my overall health. I cannot recommend Turning Leaf Acupuncture strongly enough. I have been seeing Chi for almost a year. And she has been incredibly kind, knowledgeable, attentive, gentle, and very invested in helping to support me. She is very flexible and accommodating about scheduling. She also asks of questions about my holistic health and recommends other things I can do to support my wellness goals. I was brand new to acupuncture before this and Chi explained everything and made it very comfortable and painless. I have since moved over a half hour away, but still drive every week to see Chi. She is simply wonderful. read more

Hard to fully put into words how much Sharón has helped me. I went through some upsetting health issues and her office became one of the few places where I could fully heal and relax. I was always a bit agnostic about the possibilities of acupuncture, but it turns out you just need to find the right person. I will never know how much the acupuncture is working to solve my deeper problems, but I know when I am in Sharón's office, I can fully relax, body and mind, in a way I cannot do anywhere else. That is very special to me. Sharón is a very good listener and healer. A very talented and caring person. read more

I highly recommend Sharon at Turning leaf. She's warm, inviting and a true professional. She's especially trained and knowledgeable about infertility and worked with me to build a plan that aligned with my IVF cycle and worked closely with my fertility doctor, keeping in active communication with my treatment. She takes great care in spending time with her patients, listening and providiving advice from supplements to diet, she looks at the full picture. I'm still seeing Sharon through my pregnancy (yes it worked) and she's comforting and reassuring. Very happy I was recommended to her from my doc. read more
