While vacationing my hubby and I decided to keep dinner simple and casual. We ordered takeout from…read moreUnion Jack's Pub. We went with the 20-piece Southern Country Garlic Wings and the Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls. Overall, the flavor did not disappoint! The wings were incredibly delicious, packed with garlicky Southern flavor and served jumbo style, which was a nice touch. However, I do wish we had asked for them fried hard. The texture would've been much better that way. One small downside was the fatty bits left on the wings before frying, which made them a tad bit annoying to eat. At $26.99 for 20 wings, they were definitely on the pricey side. The Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls had a great crunch, but they were extremely small. Flavor-wise, they were decent, though I've had better. At $13.99, I expected a little more in size and portion. Despite a few minor critiques, we enjoyed our meal and appreciated the no fuss dinner option. Would I come back? Possibly, but next time I'm asking for those wings fried extra hard! Rating: 3.5

Cute and hoppin' place…read more We specifically went to see Tommy Conwell, who put on a good acoustic show and even sang 'Not Your Man.' My date knows him from being in the business so I met Tommy. Very nice guy and his looks reminds me of Michael Keaton. The food was just okay. I got French Onion soup and pierogis. He got a chicken cheese steak. Really nice crowd and staff. We went in later when it got chilly. I loved the tin ceiling and ornate floor. Im happy they didn't kick us out - we were there alllllll day vibin' !

Kind of surprised by the high rating- nice dive bar. Pros-…read moreeveryone is very nice-there are a few really good bartenders-open late-cheap-parking Cons- Smokey....I doubt they have a SmokeEater... if they it doesn't work. You will REEK like smoke when you leave- No food of any knd-not even chips ..you can walk across the street to the Wawa...surprised they just dont go to BJS and sell a variety pack of snacks and make a few extra bucks. 1 or 2 "average" at best bartenders- I guess its good for smokers to have a place to go but they have a little awning covered front with chairs- I think if they went non-smoking like Buckets did they would reap the benefits and people could still go just a few feet outside and be covered from the elements. To be honest- I usually end up here becuase other places close early -I've never left my house as this as my first choice.

It's a small dive bar, nothing fancy, but me and a few of my friends from out of town, all in our early 30s, would go there to play pool and hang out. The old heads there always treated us with respect, and there are definitely some good people there. But things around it have taken a turn. To say there are "characters" would be an understatement. Some of the people in and around that place are straight up sketchy. I've had someone sell me a fake apple watch and get aggressive about it (mistake I made was letting this man in my car so I can make sure the watch worked and of course it turned out to be fake) but he was old and looked harmless... but when he mentioned a knife, I had to let it g as I have a new born son and I had already made a poor decision on hi behalf). And while the bartender I spoke to is a good guy and was right not to get involved, it still leaves you feeling like there's this unspoken "look the other way" culture. That doesn't sit right with me, it almost feels like it enables the wrong kind of behavior. To be clear, this incident did not take place in the parking lot of the bar, but it's the surrounding area which these morons typically come from. I saw a couple in their 50's screaming and fighting outside while kids were walking by with their dad getting ice cream. That's not something you want to see in your own neighborhood. Thats what college kids do open thirsty Thursdays It makes you wonder, if people are comfortable scamming and acting aggressive like that, what else is going on? Who else are they targeting? It's a shame, because there are good people there and it used to feel like a solid local spot. But between the behavior and the environment it's attracting, it's not somewhere I feel comfortable being anymore, especially with a family to think about. My god I cant wait to leave this town. And I am from the Bronx originally....

The bartender rudely denied one of our group's ID (although valid). I attempted to speak to the churlish bartender, and he told me, "No. Whatever the question is, the answer is no" before walking away from me. Per PA's RAMP ID laws, ID or Driver's Licenses from any of the 50 states or territories, a US military ID, or a passport are accepted as valid forms of identification. This establishment does have a sign on the front door informing customers that out of state IDs require an additional form of identification. There were no other written policies stating that U.S. passports were not accepted as valid forms of ID here, nor did the bartender request an additional form of ID before he aggressively rejected the passport. While up to the bartender's discretion, it feels like there is a gap in knowledge on acceptable IDs per PA's RAMP laws, and it was a shock to witness the bartender be so discourteous towards individuals not carrying PA DLs, especially during the FIFA World Cup, when there is an abundance of foreigners in the areas surrounding Philadelphia. I would gladly patronize any other bar in the area, as the bartender directed us to do. I would never want to go to an establishment that chooses to be so coarse to a polite group of young adults. I hope that the owner of this bar chooses to educate its employees more and train them to be more tactful when interacting with customers.
